READ AND COMPREHEND CAREFULLY. THIS PLEDGE DOESN'T CENSOR WHAT YOU CAN SAY, THIS PLEDGE IS PURELY TO GET PEOPLE TO THINK BEFORE POSTING UNREASONED 'ANGRY' POSTS.

The aftermath of Gamescom in this thread was, well, not very good :yuck:. Many people got very angry, bitter, upset and it really showed in some of the posts.

How about a pledge list 💡, just one quick post to agree:,

1. I'll not start ranting immediately after TGS. I will allow the information to digest for at least 24 hours, and only give reasoned thought into any posts i create.
2. I will not feed the trolls. :scared:
3. I will not get angry at PD. They are a business, there logic is undeniable.
4. We will not get overly angry at the thousands of new members who all open new threads without thinking. We will advise/report the thread.
5. We will not give the mods a hard time. They have it hard enough, they're here for the greater good.

IDEALLY NO MORE THAN ONE POST EACH. THIS ISNT FOR SPAMMING.

Anything else you pledge. Just post it below.

Anyone who does pledge and then breaks it 👎, well shame on you.

Green = pledged, Red = Broke pledge.

Only if you promise not to be Happy when GT 5 lives up to your hype:dopey:

Just changed title 👍. IF is more appropriate. In fact, im being quite realistic in what i expect, its the others on this forum who get all hyper im scared off. :nervous:

I, Mu51im hereby agree to not be a grouch even if the only thing that is revealed about Gran Turismo 5 is that it will come with a box of Milk Tray.

Signed __mu51im__

PS. I dont actually care when it is released or what sort of information is given at this event because i dont regard this game as a very big part of my life but when it comes out, i will buy it.

I pledge to post what I want, when I want, as often as I want, expressing any views I see fit, all within the rules and ethics of these forums.

Threads like this make forums a dull place.

I don't really care what you or anyone else does, as long as you don't break number 5. 💡

I, AAscooter, promise to speak my mind and say what ever I want regardless of what is presented at the TGS.

After all, this is a public foum... :dunce:

gets quite tiresome when people have already done it..

good one

Well, if your in a bad mood on the 24th... you could always play the Forza 3 demo to cheer you up.
You do remeber / realise how terribad the forza 2 demo was compared to the actual release
Frankly, Forza barely exists to me right now.

But as for the topic, I've always stated that I'm going to love whatever Kazunori-dono gives us in GT5. 👍

People can be gripey guses after TGS all they want, I won't care anymore.

While I'm hoping for insanity, I really don't car what happens at TGS.

I'll be happy for whatever they give me so long as we're closer to GT5 :)

I pledge to not be a grouch if TGS doesn't live up to my hype....................................................................
Wait a minute I haven't hyped it up one bit, so I guess this doesn't concern me. Goodbye.:P

I pledge to, as of this point in time, ignore any and all threads that ask people to only post positive/constructive things about GT5.

If I have any expectations of the game, for whatever reason, if they are not met then I have the right to voice my opinion, negative or otherwise.

Funny thread

Let's see:

1. I'll not start ranting immediately after TGS. I will allow the information to digest for at least 24 hours, and only give reasoned thought into any posts i create.

This one is easy, I don't do "OMG !!!! GT5 will be the greatest amazing thing on the Earth since the Titanic was built !!!!" posts, and ...

I also don't do "OMG !!! GT5 will be the greatest amazing disaster on the Earth since the Titanic sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean !!! " posts either. :sly:

2. I will not feed the trolls.

This one is even easier. I don't like trolls, be they from the GT-fan-boy-troll camp or from the anti-GT-fan-boy-troll camp.

3. I will not get angry at PD. They are a business, there logic is undeniable.

Angry? They are making a product they want to sell, and I am reading news of a product I'm planning to buy. If I don't like what I see I don't get angry at them, there's nothing personal or deeply psychological going on between me and PD. Yeah, this one's easy also

4. We will not get overly angry at the thousands of new members who all open new threads without thinking. We will advise/report the thread.

It's the moderators job to take care of that and, tbh, I usually find it funny and interesting (from a "social study" point of view). Also, I would never report threads/posts just because they are useless and come from new members willing to express themselves, although I would do it to unaceptable (read "insulting" or similar to it) behaviour from new or older members. Again, it's the mods job and I think they usually do it quite effectively. So, that one's ... again ... easy for me, apart from the "reporting" part.

5. We will not give the mods a hard time. They have it hard enough, they're here for the greater good.

This, I cannot promise!

I pledge not to be a grouch if the Tokyo Game Show doesn't live up to my hype. Lets hope that something is announced there, as pledging not to be a grouch is a completely different thing to hoping that some news on GT5 is revealed at TGS

I agree with all except number 3. While business decisions are understandable, even PD isn't immune from making decisions that are poor from both a gameplay and business perspective.

If they do stuff that has no logic at all then I reserve the right to be angry at them for ruining an otherwise excellent game.

I pledge to be amazed and pick up my jaws from the floor when the conference is over! :P

I, Lucas Delfino, a.k.a. Codename L, pledge to not act like an idiot if TGS doesn't fulfill my minimal expectations, nor will I feed the trolls, nor get angry at PD, because they wanted to make a game, and never did they promised all the things I have asked for. I won't get angry at any of the new members, I will report their threads if they are useless, and I won't bother the posts with any kind of flame baiting or AUP-breaking posts.

4. We will not get overly angry at the thousands of new members who all open new threads without thinking. We will advise/report the thread.

That will be annoying, It was so dang hard to find good threads after E3, not to mention being blocked from the forum after it was overwhelmed.:grumpy:

5. We will not give the mods a hard time. They have it hard enough, they're here for the greater good.

Where is the fun in that? It is our duty as forum members to make sure the Mods feel needed.:dopey:

End the end though, I too pledge to play nice after TGS.:mischievous:
