Version exclusives Totems are a great idea @RESHIRAM5.

I hope my copy arrives today although I won't get to play it.

There already is but it's only on the first trial (Gumshoos Sun, Alolan Raticate Moon) after that, it's like they gave up on the idea.

Wished they did this more often in the other trials though.

A couple of hours in. I've just completed the school thing. That got me some ultra balls. Yay. Now I'm going to grab any remaining Pokemon before moving ti the next stage.
My team consists of Litton ..... And that's it.

I haven't come across anyone I'd like to add yet so the rest of the slots are taken up with whatever I've caught recently.

Thanks. I literally beat the game then went shiny hunting.

And wow, that's pretty lucky man! I have only ever found two random shinies, a shiny swadloon in gen 5 before I even knew about shinies (holy amounts of luck that I was with a friend who did know about shinies at the time, and with the sound on so he heard it twinkle), and a rattata when I accidentally walked into a patch of grass whilst trying to hatch a shiny eevee.

When I find out what copy my sister has for Xmas I'll go out and grab the opposite copy at the weekend.

When I can figure out what mons I want, definitely going to take you up on that offer to battle with in-game team, Resh. I assume you mean in a non/semi competitive battle?

BTW, I notice you used to hop onto the gtplanet YouTube to watch the Endurance Series from time to time. Not sure if you've seen me racing on the stream. Still the same PSN as when we raced in Rolex. 👍

Of course. I barely take my in-game teams out into the competitive environment (only exception is what I'm doing to my Pokemon Black team)

And about the EV thing, I'm still annoyed at the removal of the Super Training mechanic. We need that for VGC 17...When does that start anyways?

I think we can do all the formats instead of just Double Battles, have a point system and each round it goes Single Battle, Double Battle, Multi Battle even Battle Royal if we wanted too

Another method of lowering EVs I just found out is that the Pokemon Contest Berries now reduce EVs by 10 per stat.

Pomeg - HP
Kelpsy - Attack
Qualot - Defence
Hondew - Sp. Attack
Grepa - Sp. Defence
Tomato - Speed

This is really helpful since I found out that Festival Plaza won't lower EVs if its primary effect (being more friendly) won't work due to max friendship.

So don't use Festival Plaza for EVs, use Poke Pelago (where you grow your berries) instead.

I've been trying so hard not to read too much of this thread since Sun and Moon came out. I picked up my copy of Moon two days ago but have yet to open it. Haven't completed X yet so I'd like to get that finished before I dive into moon.

Does anyone know if Meloedia next month will be a free download kind of deal like some of the other Mythical Pokemon?

Nothing to be sorry about. The thread is supposed to be for discussing the games. You have every right to discuss it. I've just personally been trying to avoid as much as possible so I don't spoil the game for myself

Meloetta is available only for XY and ORAS. You'll have to go get the code from Gamestop AFAIK.

Tutorials are like that (and IMO they do really suck) though you should be fine after the 1st Trial.

Thanks to random weird strangers, I have 2 of the 3 starters as female. Female Litten acquired for a Growlithe and a female Pippolo for a female Bagon (I have found more female Bagon than male Bagon).
