The only real solution is to give them their own, open play space and to have a default option to prevent various exploits in created rooms (which would likely require more server traffic, which will cause problems).

It's not possible to prevent it outright, but you can make it significantly harder with various checks and so on. Allowing "hacking" in some form somewhere on an opt-in basis will remove the motivation for trying very hard to hack at all, for a lot of people.

If it wasn't unrealistic and for cheating purposes, I mean like using them online to spoil others and make some impossible records, then I guess it wouldn't lead to updates which remove them in the game.

[yes]

Historically, which GT wasn't a good game??? sure GT5 was a disappointment but it definitely wasn't a bad game. if it wasn't a good game it wouldn't have so many players still ~3 years after its release

I don't believe that you should use amount of players to determine if game is good or bad. If you go by that then COD Modern Warfare 3 is a good game as well. Because I'm certain it still has a big following even though it's the worse COD game probably All Time right now.

At the end of the day only reason people play GT5 is there isn't another game like it on PS3, or at the very least when someone finds a game with 1200 cars(good 200-400 are duplicates). Then we can talk.

The simple addition of a combined HP/PP limiter to TT's and online lobbies would have resolved the problem of any and all over powered hybrids, there was no need to delete the entire thing.

I agree.

Knowing PD, they suck at solving their own problems. However, it's the hackers that give problems to them.

GT5 was disappointing, and is probably the reason I'm not excited about getting GT6

GT5 was good, but did not make as much of an impression as GT4 where the number of cars jumped from 150 (GT3) to 700 cars, included 24 hour races for the first time, driving missions for the first time, more real world tracks [Fuji, Nurburgring, Sarthe), A-Spec points etc.

For the game to be 'great', it needs to have a ton of new ideas not merely improvements on existing issues in GT5.

At this point though as bad as GT5 was to me just fixing those issues would be considered great lol.

Seriously though they are on the right track already. A-spec and B-spec being merged again(GT4 which is the way it was best to stay).

You know what actually as I just typed that let me say they can try the separate modes again one day in the future once they can create a fleshed out and detail career mode for each with competitive A.I at the end of the day that was always my biggest problem.

Getting back to what I was saying leveling system is gone, and if I'm not mistaken PP system is done away with.

They give us back a good many older tracks(Mid-field) and what not Premiums are more balanced, and a very long career mode thinking GT3(which never finished) and GT4 types.

That would at least be a start as of right now.

I believe that GT6 will be a great game, if it does become true to being the "Real Driving Simulator".

I have to disagree.

I'd say stop coming up with crazy ideas and instead focus on giving us a top notch quality game with an awesome driving/racing experience, both off- and online. Bring consistency back to the franchise!

Surprised the senna news didn't change a few minds.

There's nowhere near enough information to change anyone's mind. What if it's just a cartoon image of Senna talking and some lame "career mode" stuff in the crappy PD karts on crappy track creator tracks with crappy AI? There are no purpose built racing style kart tracks in the game, it's going to be tough to recreate Senna's early career for example without some decent kart tracks. What if there is only one Formula Ford and one F3 livery/car in the game and the entire field is the same car? What if the sounds on the FF and F3 cars are lame?

Let's see how it rolls out before I'm convinced. The potential is there for greatness and for lameness...it's up to PD and Kaz to determine if this is more of a publicity stunt or some real meat and potatoes content. I'm hoping for the latter.

These were pretty much my exact thoughts when the news was revealed. It's definitely possible this will be an amazing addition - a unique feature amongst all racing games - but as you said, using the PD-fantasy karts and unreal tracks in "Senna" races will be a disservice in my eyes. Though I rest assured that Kaz and Co have more than enough class to not turn the man into a cartoon. I expect some old footage of him introducing any events - that's how I'd do it, anyways.

Right there with you on that hope bit 👍

Whatever they do, let us all agree they should NOT include a rewind feature! I just saw that Turn 10 has fallen into the trap and included it in Forza 5. :ill:

I wouldn't agree personally, as long as it's optional (which of course it would be) I have no issue with one. I don't think they will include one but I'd have no issue if they did.

Let's just call it like it is with not so much info coming out people are becoming neutral on this subject.

Right now the demo gave me some good feel about GT6 as in looks like they are stepping in the right direction.

But at the same time only a demo so again I'm neutral and although announcing tracks is cool and all. I want to know more about Premiums to standards ratio If it's 800 Premiums to 400 standards I'll be ok with that.

Also want to know if A.I(the biggest factor for me in getting GT6)

Probably coming in an update.
I suppose the issue is you have no self control and couldn't resist using one?

I don't expect it to be great but anything could be considered great after GT5's initial release.

I'm with others it will probably be good or passable but not epic like others hope it will be.

I don't think it will blow my socks off. It will be an enjoyable game, no doubt. Building off of what GT5 is today, and adding more content and features, it has nowhere to go but up.

I don't feel as hyped up as I was before GT5 was released, but I know PD won't disappoint.

I don't know. Not many of the new cars revealed so far appeal to me and the Senna content seems like repeating a mistake from GT5. That being said, the variety of tracks starts to look more satisfying and the UI improvements should also make a welcome contribution. In the end it all comes down to how it feels on track and I really hope it will feel much better than the Silerstone demo from July. Time will tell but I think this sums up my current view on the game.

no which is why i'm not buying it, very little has changed since GT5, it doesn't warrant a purchase from me, even if it did the PS4 is out in a few weeks and my PS3 will be collecting dust.

Can I change my mind, still no bonnet cam? unbelievable that this has still not been added. Knives were out over Grid 2 for not having a cockpit cam, and polyphony still can't muster up a simple bonnet cam? Sheesh!

It is very annoying, especially when some cars do have one, they're just few and far between. I don't know why they think anyone wants to drive from the roof. Bonnet cam is the closest to reality for those who don't want to see the whole cockpit.

Good to see i'm not the only one with these thoughts.

Except it did because it was illegal, wether it's better for the community or not is irrelevant for PD's licensing agreements with the manufacturers and Sony's rules that YOU agreed to follow.
