I'm exceptionally strange, is what I'm trying to say. It scares some people off.

I respect immensely the people who understand me and respect me for who I am.

And that's all that matters.
Seriously, it is. Don't worry about the people who you "scare off" - just pay attention to the people who understand you; who you care about.

Anyway, I went for "Understood". No one has to respect me. Understanding me the best way you can is good enough for me.

Nah I really ain't that intimidating. I was going to change it to respected but I can't so...

Respected. Some of my opinions can be quite strange for some people and I don't expect people to agree with what I think. But, I don't like when people act like their opinion is better than others.

Weighing up between respected and admired, but the latter consists of having respect with other qualities (such as being liked) so I went with that.

Respect and admiration has to be earned. Therefore, the ability to be understood is the most important for me.
