The Evo X looks amazing, but so does the Impreza '10 model.

The Evo X is a good car, and I really enjoy driving it, but it seems to understeer too much for my liking, so for that reason I'm gonna pick the Impreza.

The '10 Sedan Impreza is a beautiful car as well, one of my favourites on the entire game tbh.

Mitsubishi built the zero in WW2 and it was a very weak airplane that was easy to shoot down

Off topic:Actually up until the Vought Corsair was available in combat in 1944 the Mitsubishi Zero was a formidable fighter even against the Supermarine Spitfire and Grumman Hellcat that destroyed well over 1,550 American aircraft(not including British, Candian, Australian and other allied forces aircraft) in WWII so to say it was weak would be wrong by a long shto

On Topic:Although I dont know for sure I would guess the rivalry came from the battles in WRC but could it also just come from the certain criteria they fall into in car class similar to the BMW, Audi and Merc Benz saloon car wars?

I prefer the EVO to the STI. I can't really explain why, I just like driving it more. Some of the STI's feel kind of sluggish or something. I recently got the EVO VI GSR Tommi Makinen Edition and I really dig it. I also customized my EVO X with green paint and new wheels. Can't put my finger on it, but I have more fun with the EVOs.

I'm voting for SUBARU! Mostly out of loyalty...I have an 08 STi and love it. That said I know that EVO's are better track cars especially the new ones, you just can't beat the active yaw control and razor sharp handling. Not too mention I would give my left nut for DSG in my STi. In the game they seem pretty even and comes down to driver. My buddy has a RM EVO an I an RM STi we go back and forth mostly comes down to who makes the least mistakes. Always looking to mix it up on line... look me up jameskwondo.

Evos ftw, but it really sucks in GT5 seriously, most evos can't really corner as fast as STi do. Although it has been letting me down quite a lot in Evo vs STi battles in GT5(Not RM), but I still like it more than a STi as it is really a challenege for me to drive and against a WRX with an evolution.
I have been driving evolutions since the multiplayer mode released with my close friend who likes WRXs, we were definately having fun and the races were always enjoyable!

At the moment, still haven't touched any WRX road cars yet, but would probably do after I master evolution series!

With my friends we usually making a 2x2 battle between Imprezas and Lancers.
One of them on Lancer always says that he made it damn awesome (tuning) and he'll win the race, but coming in last places

As a Subaru owner (Forester though, not Impreza), I am aware of the rivalry that exists between the two brands where they compete directly against each other, like Impreza/Lancer and Forester/Outlander..whatever. So of course I am biased, and picked the Subie.

Slightly OT, I would love to see a STi Forester in GT5. Need something to take on the Range Rover Storm thing properly

Impreza for me, any day of the week. The Evo is a nice car and fast as hell, but, at least in GT5, I'm always a tad faster with the corresponding Impreza model.
Plus, I think the Imprezas feel a lot better. Can't really explain why, I guess... Maybe it's the lack of udnersteer compared to the Evo. With the Imprezas, you just think of where you want to go and the car does it.

And my '07 STi looks increidbly sexy with a black paint job and green BBS RS wheels.

Oh, and there's the Cusco Dunlop Impreza '08. That thing is probably my favourite car in the game, so, yeah, chalk another one up for the Impreza

Voted for EVO. Saw a white EVO with carbon hood & trunk doing test runs outside of a local tuning shop and just fell in love with those cars. The turbo on this thing was sick!

I'd have to go with the Evo - especially the IV, V & VI models. Beautiful cars. My opinion is slightly biased though as I had an Evo IV for awhile.
