:embarrassed:

I can't see the image. But yeah, I guess it's another damaged Evo.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Let's plan a date, I challenge you for a 1 on 1 race, you take your precious WRX STI to the ring, I'll take my Evo.

Subaru for me. My first awareness of rallying came because of a two minute tv report on the controversy at the 1995 Catalunya Rally, with Colin McRae refusing to slow down and gift the win to team-mate Carlos Sainz, despite team officials standing in middle of the road to try to "persuade" him. (They managed to convince him to take a time penalty in the end, but the sense of injustice forced me to watch the RAC Rally coverage and that was enough to get me hooked.)

To this day, if you say "rally car" to me, the first image that appears in my mind is a mid-to-late-90s-liveried Subaru Impreza.

I know what you mean. My heart starts beating faster when I see/hear about the Lancer Evo VI rally car, driven by Tommi Makinen.

Evo for sure, they've always been just a bit more better. My fave year of evo is 2003 MR so sexy. Subies are nice and I don't hate them, I just prefer evo's. But if we were to prefer the drivers of the WRC cars definitely the late great McRae..

Given the latency my internet connection invokes, I doubt that'll ever happen

Voted for the Scooby
preference started with Colin McRae in the Rothmans Legacy, continued with the Impreza with McRae and then Burns
the 22B & P1 are far cooler than any Mitsubishi (IMO)

it has became soo freaking hard to decide between, but i gotta say evo.

super rally evo 03 just DEMOLISHES any other car ive ever driven offroad in terms of lap times (the rs200 has made a comeback in gt5 imo), and while the subaru rally and sti 11 are also extremely good offroad, idk, i just love the evo. the evo x, however, has been a little too slow and stiff imo. xP

and theres a lil bias... loved the evo since i was like 7. ahah xD

As of now Team LANCER seems to be losing unfortunately with 45.19% votes.
As opposed to Team IMPREZA with 54.81%.

. . . I really hope Team LANCER starts to makes a comeback soon. :)

Both cars for me :) there isnt even 1 car that I dont like in GT5! lol there is X2010, I just dont like it. All other is driveble for me!

PS but I voted for lancer, new Subaru just looks so wrong.

I vote STI, the '04 spec c is the best car I have found in game for the 50k budget car challenge that just wrapped up last week. All of the EVO's need extra tuning to eliminate understeer and don't have the same in game grip levels that the newer scooby's do. This is in GT5 and not real life though.

Comparing the '05 models of the Evo vs STi side by side, I noticed something a little strange. I purchased both cars and ran them on High Speed Ring to have a fair comparison with little room for driver error.

So I started with the Evo and ran just under 1:23, at around 1:22.950. Next up, the STi, which ran around 1:22.505. Looks good for the STi right? Consider that I noticed the STi had sports hard tires while the Evo was handicapped on comfort soft tires. Both cars are 100% factory spec... no oil changes or any other tweaks.

So I buy another '05 Evo to keep to factory specs, as I didn't want any break-in from the previous run to give it an advantage but I did purchase sports hard tires and you know what? The Evo spanked the STi by almost breaking the 1:22 barrier on its first lap. :D

The STi wasn't as tight as the Evo, but that helped the Evo in braking zones. Altering the brake balance may have put the STi ahead, but I was comparing the two side by side on equal grounds, and tires. :P

Evo

I don't have anything against the Scooby but two of my friends already have them so I got an Evo. They are pretty much the same when it comes to performance and handling. If one car was clearly better than the other, they wouldn't be arch rivals.

I like both, but the Evo has something magic. I like my Evo IX RM'ed in Arancio atlas ( Lamborghini SV orange). The 2008 WRX is also very nice ( the small one which also has a WRC '08 car in the game ).

You cant say I dont like the Evo or Impreza, they are both incredible.

Subaru Impreza because Mitsubishi built the zero in WW2 and it was a very weak airplane that was easy to shoot down. Either than that IMO the Mitsubishi is on par with the Subaru 💡

Wasn't easy to shoot down, was highly maneuverable and would out climb the wildcat but not the hellcat. Only weakness I can think of was that the fuel tanks were unarmored...
