I was waiting for the "of course that's outright communism" punchline.
Now, I know living in France gives you the best understanding of how American politicians have to operate; but maybe, just maybe, people in this thread have a bit more complex political beliefs than "I'm voting for Trump so I might as well attack a candidate who isn't even running anymore just because he was in the other party".So many Trump supporters have a feigned compassionate opinion about Sanders supporters today...
Sanders did what he had to do, you play by the rule, or you don't, but not both ways on a given election
I'm referring to what they write, not what they actually believe.but maybe, just maybe, people in this thread have a bit more complex political beliefs

And don't worry, Trump views, strong political experience, passion for truth and consistency, as well as top notch elegance have already made the "outside world" look at this election with a mix of disbelief and worried fascination. And, of course, hope among neo fascists and your ennemis.
And what is being written isn't in line with how you're responding either.I'm referring to what they write, not what they actually believe.
I don't particularly care what people outside of North America think about an American political election, but if your lack of understanding of what is being said in this thread today (nevermind your arrogance in dictating to politically active members that Bernie had to do what he did) is in line the rest of the outside world I don't think I'm missing much. And don't worry, Trump views, strong political experience, passion for truth and consistency, as well as top notch elegance have already made the "outside world" look at this election with a mix of disbelief and worried fascination. It didn't as a matter of fact.Maybe France shouldn't have lost then.
Funny, because i'm the one defending how the american politician did operate, in accordance to how most of them did in the past in US and in any other Primary in other country. The concept is the same everywhere: a pre-election to (try to) ensure unity for the true election.I know living in France gives you the best understanding of how American politicians have to operate
That is not what i wrote.Wait, some of us write what we do not believe?
That is arrogance.I don't particularly care what people outside of North America think about an American political election, but if your lack of understanding of what is being said in this thread today (nevermind your arrogance in dictating to politically active members that Bernie had to do what he did) is in line the rest of the outside world I don't think I'm missing much.
That is arrogance.
Since Bush, the last one, messed in Irak, which led to the birth of Isis and ended in many deaths in my country, i do legitimately care of what is going in US elections, and i do have interest in politic anyway.
Beside, my country is clear on my profile, i knew i was going to have this sort of comment by someone weak on arguments. GTP has a lot of non-american members, maybe you should take that into account when you choose this forum to write about any subject.
There're few reason that people should do, unless France end with a populist government (next stop in 10 month). When is the last time a gtp member considered with any interest an election in France?
You'll need to be less cryptic and more specific, i have little clue about what you mean in the end. What? Don't go the "credible" path with your U.S. history please, that guy does enough I think. And if you actually cared you wouldn't make vague passing comments that amount to actual hyperbole.

We gave France a bone when we lifted sanctions with Iran, who buys their oil now?
Very nasty business these wars and such are, the truth is that France benefits from most every dirty deed that the U.S. may think up.

Nice try, but this is not a bold comment.Show proof Bush was responsible for ISIS, and not just some hipster like reality of politics. You're bolded portion from the original post is about as good as "Tim, jet fuel can't melt steel beams Tim. Just cant!"
Point in the thread?
None.
How about stopping this pathetic ad hominem desperate collective attack?
What are you talking about. I said there is no reason for people to talk about this, so why do you want me to point to a non existent thread... that nobody claims it exists?Show me the thread, do you realize how much attention this thread has vs. your most likely non existent one?
It didn't as a matter of fact.
Which would be more admirable if you were doing it with any knowledge about how Bernie gained much of the support he did or who it came from. There is a member who frequently posted in this topic who is part of the 10% or however many of Bernie supporters who never even considered following him into Clinton's camp. While I don't want to speak for him, his complete disinterest in voting for Clinton after Sanders endorsed her seems to allude towards what has been said in this thread today. Assuming that is true, should we take from that that he is a Trump supporter too, as you were implying to be the case for everyone else in this discussion?Funny, because i'm the one defending how the american politician did operate
And you're perfectly free to have interest, but I'm under no obligation to care about the your interpretation of the European viewpoint when you try and swing around "the rest of the world is amused by your political candidate" as if it was an argument; or indeed as if Trump was my personal political candidate.Since Bush, the last one, messed in Irak, which led to the birth of Isis and ended in many deaths in my country, i do legitimately care of what is going in US elections, and i do have interest in politic anyway
It's amusing that you bring this up after you devolved your own arguments into "Trump supporters are gonna be Trump supporters, I guess." That you've kept ignoring how that isn't the case after it was pointed out to you, I've also noticed.Beside, my country is clear on my profile, i knew i was going to have this sort of comment by someone weak on arguments.
Take what into account? The only reason I brought up your country was because you were, and still are, dictating to politically active North Americans why they shouldn't question the integrity of a grassroots political candidate after endorsing a rival many of his supporters hated everything about. You went so far as to nearly say that everyone doing so in the discussion was a Trump supporter. When most of the people from the rest of the world on this forum comment on American political situations, they seem to have a better grasp on what happened than just assuming that whoever they were arguing with vote the other party; hence the joke about your regional expertise.GTP has a lot of non-american members, maybe you should take that into account when you choose this forum to write about any subject.
Nice try, but this is not a bold comment.
This is not the place to make an history of Shia and Sunni Islam in Irak, but now i put these keyword on the comments, google should do the rest if you want to know more.
"We live in the real world". What a slap in the face to anyone that bought into Sander's message. Here is what gets me about this as I explained in my post. Bernie created this, juggernaut and then said "eh, remember what I created your image in yeah forget about it...please pretty please."
The whole brother and sisters thing and then condescending "we live in the real world", yeah it didn't change their ideas they still were pissed and betrayed. That there basically undoes was Husker is trying to prove, but I already had worries about arguing with someone who is already set in a camp.

Plenty of foreigners horning in on the Brexit thread. When is the last time a gtp member considered with any interest an election in France?
His facebook page is still spitting out the same stuff he was campaigning for/against though. I almost unliked the page when he spent nearly 2 weeks ranting about the GMO labeling crap because I got sick of seeing it.Which is why I brought it up it's almost condescending in nature, and some more extreme may take it be along the lines of this; "oh grow up, you actually thought the fairy tale I was selling would come true?" As if he didn't even believe what he was selling. Now I'm not say this is the case but people more in tune with him could probably extrapolate that from various other times he's talked post Hillary nomination
Plenty of foreigners horning in on the Brexit thread.
I remember at least one foreign post in the Brexit thread that let us know in no uncertain terms how wrong we were to complain and advising us to suck it up and endure. So no, I don't "see the difference".I've seen them do it, but not to lengths I feel (and I'm probably wrong) that some come here and basically try to make this their personal comedy hour to escape the one going on in their nations political system.
However, just like here there are people who are trying to learn history in the making by asking questions to those who live there. @Touring Mars does it here, and so do others when they can't simply find a straight answer in a book or respectable web source. The user in question isn't doing such, rather just taking popular international generalizations and inserting them here. See the difference?
