I think we should also be able to save our created races and share them online like you can with tracks so that other people can race them.

I like this idea, using the track creation tool, and then using the race/event creator - surely could/would extend the shelf life for GT5 massively.

Would love to create a race event featuring the Ferrai P4, XJ13, Ford MK IV, and then starting at the back with something like a stock BMW M3 CSL, maybe I'd need some racing tyres ... but if that wasn't enough, tune it so that I could just about have a chance of winning in 5 laps.

first thing i'd do is get rid of these circuits build with the circuit creator, that they always need to put in the seasonal events. (eiffel and all) Those tracks look quite ugly to me and theres just too much popup in them... put francorchamps in the seasonal events!

I like the circuit creator, and the variety that it brings - although I absolutely would prefer more 'proper' circuits.

Would love Spa to be included in future seasonals, and hope that more circuits will become available. AND that we can use then for offline races.

It shouldn't be hard to do; if any of you guys have GTPSP there are no set a-spec events for the most part but instead this where you choose your event and the payout increases depending on your car vs the competition, number of laps, the track, etc.

I would absolutely LOVE to be able to set up my own 100 lap run at Spa, Laguna Seca, Daytona or Sarthe with the multiple classes of cars that are on track in endurance racing.

How awesome would it be running against 4 other GT1 cars while LMPs go blasting past you?

And I would love it as an A-Spec feature because it seems like almost every time I go online you get some punk kid going against traffic, or high payouts and four guys in Tank Cars blocking you so their buddy can win the prize. Or the worst is getting kicked from a room just because you beat the room owner. No, thanks.

To be honest, that was a use that never crossed my mind, took me a small while to understand ... as i'd not discovered GT Fan Fiction before, authors writing stories using Gran Turismo as the theme/structure ... interesting.

Over the last few days, i've beed re-doing the last test of each of the licenses - ie start last and try to win in 1 or 2 laps. These are currently my favourite events ... wish I could earn XP & credits each time I finish the event though. Would like to create something similar for Spa!

You are right, For your example above, a very small payout should be awarded.

I'd imagine some sort of calculation based on the difficulty, afterall remember the points in GT4, I don't think that the player should be able to choose the amount of credits or XP they get.

Then we'd have the incentive of making the race as hard as possible, and people would post their best on GTP!

The create your own event idea was pretty cool in Gran Turismo 2. You even got credits for completing your own events. Would love to see something like that return in GT5, with more options.

Good point, I was thinking of my liking for shorter 1-7 lap races, but shouldn't be any reason why others couldn't set up their own endurance race!

I think this would work best if you "unlock" this ability once you reach level 35 for A-Spec and level 35 for B-Spec.
I would also add "Year Range", "Country" and "Continent" to the Regulations in order to get cars from a specific era and area/region.

I voted "yes", I'd pay for this. Just give us the option to include damage and penalties in ANY A-spec or Seasonal race, and I'll be happy. Would be cool to also be able to add extra laps to certain races somehow, although this would probably be harder to program for PD.

This right there would make offline and A Spec much better, and also allow us to set up races for B Spec as well. Right now I can't stop replaying arcade mode just to throw cars with brand new shoes around. Seems like these cars a new lease on life with brand new wheels and the physics engine seems to have gotten a little fine tuning. Cheers!!!

Pick the track. Pick the opponent cars (one by one). Pick their tyres. Pick their PP (the computer then based on that picks the tunning parts applied). Save event. Make the lvl requirement depending on the level of cars ussed, make the event rewards according to a formula like in online racing.

There, frustration free A-Spec racing. Not too easy, not too hard. Exactly what you want.

I'd like to have some genuine endurance races at Monza and some of the street courses, so definitely yes. Arcade mode doesn't drive me to do endurance races since they're nothing waiting for you at the end.

Might I also add that in addition to a cash prize being calculated on laps and car PP, maybe there could be like a pool of prize cars to win from also. Like if you race for 30 laps with 400 PP cars you'd get like a Mazda 6 or something, whereas a 200 mile race with 650PP or higher could net us something in the range of a Mclaren F1 GTR or an LMP.

you are so right, hopefully it'll encourage the development of more DLC circuits, as more would find a use for them

I know that loads bought Spa, I did, but am disappointed how little use it gets. I fine going online frustrating, and rarely use acade, so it does seem a bit of a waste of money unless Spa is added to the seasonals ... but I can't see that happening

Maybe it is a case of each to their own, I've tried online ... found it quite frustrating, but then I tend to play GT5 in chunks of 30mins, sometimes longer.

I don't understand why the event creator would be a horrible idea, if it did become available - it just wouldn't have an impact on you!
