Yeah it's been like that for the last 79 pages. More of a Porsche wishlist than a discussion of whether they'll be present in GT5 or not. But to be fair, nobody really knows if they're gonna be in anyway.

Well, I googled Ashley Tisdale & she supposedly drives a Porsche Boxster (Type 987).

Well, I can't say for sure if Porsche will be in GT5 or not, since
I neither work for PD or Porsche. All I can say is I hope that Porsche will be in GT5. But if it isn't in GT5, I guess I'll have to settle for RUF again.

If that is the case, we need a load more RUF models, i don't just want the RGT, CTR2, Yellowbird again. (And the boxster one aswell)
 
Yes Ashley Drive Porsche and Mercedes ML 500... In GT5 we will have RUF"s and I am ok with that!!!!!:dopey:

I had doubts before thinking they would not be included, But now i don't have thoughs doubts any more.
 
You said you HAVE no doubts - present. So it's difference between having doubts and not having doubts.
 
If Porsche aren't in there it'd be a real shame. GT3's would be so much fun in GT5.

I wonder why they wouldn't be then though. Considering the massive amounts of Porsches in Forza, and them having been in NFS etc too.
 
another reason it'd be good is because theres Lambo and Ferrari.. so to me it just makes sense to have Porsche aswell then we can do proper comaprasons.

How many times do people need to be told the obvious - it's all around licensing. EA hold the exclusive rights to use the Porsche brand, but they are allowed to sub-license at their discretion. Clearly Microsoft stumped up the money to use the rights, where SONY either haven't, or are being refused for some other contractual reason. Do you really think Porsche themselves are refusing to have their games shown in the Gran Turismo series?!

I am not 100% sure, but I've read on these forums that the exclusivity agreement with EA will expire soon, so there is a chance that they could make it in by the time the game launches, or maybe as DLC later on.
 
you guys do know there is a porsche in GT3 right. and i believe it's the GT3 also 996 or 911 can't remember. japan version only but if you have xport you can get one. i have it and the diablo too!!!

It's a 911 GT3 (996) and it is only hidden data on the disk, not available unless you use a gameshark and even then it's not a completed car, just the shell which you need to hybrid a drivetrain to.

The Diablo JGTC car is properly included for use in the Japanese Gran Turismo 3 though.

In recent titles, when you check the info. about any RUF model, GT has never mentioned the name of Porsche (always refering to it as " another german car-maker)

But in GT PSP, they have actually used the word "Porsche"... so it seems they have acquired the license to use Porsche trademarks..

Far fetched, but maybe it's true..

Porsche might be in GT5, but the general rule is if they haven't showed it, its probably not in. This is especially true for Yamauchi. If he at some point considers putting something in, he talks about it (or around it). As soon as a new model is done for GT5, PD drops hundreds of pictures of it. We'll know when Porsche hits. Until then, I wouldn't expect anything.
 
Lamborghini and Bugatti just slipped in through GT PSP pre-order promotion, they didn't make a song and dance about it like they did when Ferrari was announced.
 
Although it would be great if they did get in and they may well do just that i woulden't get too hopeful
 
So if we get Porsche (and Maserati aswell), then what manufacturers will GT be without? None that are really significant off the top of my head at least.
