I love the 968s! I was actually considering one when I was in the market for my '84 Carrera. Two things held me back from purchasing one. The number of 968s sold meant that prices have stayed higher than those of the 944s or 951s. The other thing was, I've always wanted a 911, so I couldn't sell myself short of my dream car...

Anyway, I'm a bit of a Porsche slut. The next time I'm in the market for another, the choices will be even tougher (993, a whole slew of 911s, 951, 928 S4, Cayman & a 968...I also want a 914 or a 356 coupe someday).

BTW, a 968 CS or a 968 Turbo RS would be pretty cool to have in GT5...

'Slow'?! Some of the later models would hit 60 in 5 seconds and keeping going all the way to over 170 mph. My friend's Dad had one when I was a kid used to being driven everywhere in my mum's Austin Metro and the last thing it struck me as was 'slow'.

I assumed it was slower than the 911 models like the modern day Cayman. But Wiki says i am wrong.

i recently read that there is some "merging" going on with VW and porsche..

so if they merge,... cant we get porsches then? currently there are VW's in GT5.. and if VW gets to own porsche.. then maybe theres a slight chance we'll see porsches in the game anyway?

(i read this on autoblog.com couple of weeks ago - it should, if it happens, happen in 2010)

We had Fiat in GT2 but we didn't see Ferrari until GT5P and they are owned by the same company.

On Cayman-> Sure the SUV is fugly as hell; but the GTS and the Turbo deserves to be in GT5, since the non-SRT8 Dodge Ram made it in GT4.

I think I'm one of the few who aesthetically likes the Cayenne, especially the 2nd generation models. Pictures don't do it justice, they look much better in real life. Also, the sound of the Turbo and GTS is absolutely terrific.

I love them. I'm not sure why they're hated so much. The GTS model is very aggressive

my guess is that as it is a Porsche,people expect it to look like an exotic and therefore don't think of it as a luxury SUV

Thats pretty much exactly how i feel. Porsche would be good, but we have RUF which is nearly there, but we have so many other manufacturers to play with.

The only problem I have with Ruf being in and Porsche not is that we miss out on alot of the classic Porsches that I think would be a blast to drive in the game.
