Portal 2

Now I'm in chapter 7 messing around with these propulsion/repulsion gels. Crazy stuff.

Really loved the area your in now, adds such a cool dynamic to an already way out game. 👍

I don't wish to advertise but I just picked up the "Portal 2: Final Hours" app in iOS for iPad which documents the journey of Valve making Portal 2 with interactive parts, videos and images. Such a great supplement to the game, they should have bundled it free with the game.

^^^

Sorry about the double post, unknown as to why that happened.

This game is very fun, I love it, the multi-player's great, definitely worth the wait.

Also, who else is a bit excited for this?

Im at Chapter 6, about to go back and play some more :). I did a few hours of coop yesterday which was fun, the four portals really adds a whole new level to the game.

I only bought race games until now. I'm glad I bought this game. I'm loving it! Rally!

Well; I completed it last night. Really enjoyed the game. Need to play co-op some more and try and get all the trophies.

What then?

Portal is a game that lends itself to speed running very well, so that also opens quite a bit of play time after completion. Then separate time trails per puzzle, chapter, etc.

I never heard of portal until I read this thread about portal 2 a few days ago.
It seems that I need to get the know the game better and find out what levels/test/puzzles is in this game.

Do these time trials open, unlock after completion?

In the original, I believe so. Some levels are being completed in a few seconds that take people minutes on the first time through; it is kind of crazy to see the runs.

For the fortunate pc/mac owners, which will hopefully include me if the damn PSN ever gets turned back on again:

First Batch of User-Created Portal 2 Maps Ready for Download
Three new test labs offer challenges big and small.

So you've managed to noodle your way through all of the single-player and co-op test labs Portal 2 has to offer, and you're still jonesing for more from Aperture Labs? You're not alone. Lucky for you, there's help in the form of user-created maps, and our friends at Fileplanet have tracked three of them down for you to download today.

Synchronicity, a single-player map by Omnicoder, Sequential: Part 1 by Nightgunner5, and Gravity Trials by naitoookami, offer a mix challenges both straightforward and mind-bending. Sequential: Part 1, in particular, would make even GLaDOS proud.

And the best part is you don't have to beg, borrow, steal or even purchase these new Portal 2 maps. They're all available for free download now at Fileplanet.

For those that have finished it, good time to check out some of the awesome dialogue you might have missed out on by thumbing through the text dump.

IE:
Core 3 - "The first person to prove that cow's milk is drinkable was very, very thirsty."

Core 3 - "Before the Wright Brothers invented the airplane, anyone wanting to fly anywhere was required to eat 200 pounds of helium."

Core 2 - "I'll tell ya, it's times like this I wish I had a waist so I could wear all my black belts. Yeah, I'm a black belt. In pretty much everything. Karate. Larate. Jiu Jitsu. Kick punching. Belt making. Taekwondo... Bedroom."

Just downloaded this earlier, enjoying it so far but it's only the early levels. I've seen play throughs of the early part of the game as well, courtesy of yogscast :D, which was great, but it means I've already heard all the dialogue and stuff. I think I need to pump in a few hours to get ahead of them lol.

Co-op looks good as well. It's just a shame I'm busy this weekend.

What a great game this is, I honestly can't remember the last time I had so much fun. I do wish it was a bit longer (took me 3 sittings of ~1 and a half each) but still it was worth every penny.

I can't wait for the PSN to get back up so I can get it going on PC and do some custom levels. :)

I forgot all about my racing games. Portal2 is that good.

How is portal (1) compared to portal 2. It's still available at a local game shop for €7 (pc version and new).

Portal 2 is better than Portal 1 in every category. Portal 1 is 2 hours long, it feels like a tech demo instead of an actual game, it's easy, no gels, levels look empty, no co-op.
Thanks, saves me another €7.

I'm nearly done with co-op and now that PSN is back I've given steam a chance last night. I tried to find a decent partner for over an hour and only managed to get two people with mics and they both disconnected before my game had saved forcing me to do the same levels a couple times.

Such a great game!👍 I wanted to pick this up on release(I really enjoyed the 1st Portal), but thankfully I waited and picked this and Dead Space 2 up during EA's/Origins sale($23ea.). I ran into an area that had me stumped, so I gave the game a rest. Glados is pure comedy!:) 👍

I need a player to do Co-op with me. I got the game and the DLC and I just finished Single player today, now I want to do Co-op.
