nd now with gamecome, they have another pre-order thingy..-.- so are we going to have the 15th anniversary cars listen in the article plus the 25 blue anniversary cars or the anniversary blue cars are going to replace the original 15th anniversary!?

That old list is obsolete. Check the GT website for the updated list. I asked that same question on page 2 of this thread and answered it myself. Always a good idea to read through the thread first 👍

The Anniversary Edition is £64.97 on Gamestop UK. The standard edition on Amazon has dropped to £35.

Do we know who the 'participating retailers' are yet?

They're obviously just a slow store, use another one, if EB in Australia knows about it, GSs' should know about it too.

The much-talked of Gamestop deal IS for the standard version, but with a pre-order bonus applied with the confusing/misleading name Anniversary Upgrade.
 
I preordered two weeks ago on Amazon.ca (standard GT6 with 1mil credits + 4 bonus cars)

this week, Gamescon /PD announces 15yr anniversary edition, preorder with 20 cars, that is much more attractive to me, and to many here, so I will preorder this from EBGames Canada (physical store) , and thus have placed 2 preorders.

If on Dec 6th , my doorbell doesn't ring by 10:45 am, that I don't get any of these preorders, I'm plowing through (AI) city traffic to Futureshop or Ebgames around 11am receiving time, and handing the sales / receiving clerk a $20 tip to go open their shipment boxes right away and get me 5 copies of GT6 whatever is in the box, because I know I will drop some on my way to the cash register, so I can get home, and push the UPS or Puro driver outta my way as I kick my already unlocked front door open, and dive with the first available GT6 disc in hand into the PS3 loading slot....

nah, I am not going to cancel my Amazon Preorder, I'll stick to it, and maybe upgrade to the anniversary edition some other time if and only if those cars cannot be had, in the std edition of GT6, through some rewards, or DLC.

PD , MAKE an anniversary DLC upgrade for $10, enough said.

There's three main choices for you.

A. Cancel Amazon pre-order, make pre-order for GT6 AE somewhere else
B. Keep Amazon pre-order " "
C. Change Amazon pre-order to GT6 AE.

I don't know what the whole getting 5 copies and bashing through walls and people is about, just secure the copy you want and be done with it.
 
Just checked the web for the Canadian version of Gamestop pre-order thru EBGames, to discover it's only CDN $59.95, slightly less if you convert to $US. What a bargain!!!
 
I Bought my 25 anniversay Edition , at my Local game store.

It shuld come in a Steal case, and 20 Ano. cars :
 
I preordered GT6 from my local GameStop when the preorder was first announced a couple months ago. I'm going to stop by and make sure my preorder still qualifies for all the extra cars that have since been announced. I'm wondering though, where are the additional 5 bonus cars coming from? Looking at GameStop's preorder information on their website, it seems like it is going to come with 20 cars.

It's unfortunate that the US is getting the shaft not getting the actual Anniversary Edition with the steel case and all. I know it doesn't add anything to the game itself, I just don't mind spending the extra dough to get extra stuff when it comes to a game that only releases a sequel every few years.

GT is infamous for region specific editions and merchandise, so I'm not holding much hope for the steelbook edition to hit the US. Look at GT5 and see how horribly unbalanced they did editions. Europe got the Collector's and Signature Edition, US got a different CE, Asia got a different CE as well, and I believe a preorder only steelbook was only in the Netherlands. There are more examples too.

I pre ordered from my local Game store, but he said there were no codes to pre order the 15th anniversary. He then said that if I pre ordered the game with the standard code he was given it would be the 15th anniversary I would get - would that be right?

I don't think so. GAME UK are showing both editions on their site.

Yep its been there since day one of the reveal if my mind is not playing tricks on me. I am also going to wait at least 2 weeks before the release to see if a"super" edition they may throw out at the last minute. I was really looking forward to a new Signature edition otherwise its the 15 anniversary for me. Would be nice if the Brits can keep us updated which stores would be selling it as I can only see it available from Game.
 
Well, looks like I will need to pre-order from Gamestop then. Unless some other retailer in the US pulls something similar closer to release date.

So I am under the assumption from reading the last 6 pages that the version you pre-order at Gamestop for the free Anniversary upgrade will net you every available car?

I imagine the preorder pack and info on the US Gamestop site is out of date now though. I am wondering if some of the original cars that were in that first preorder pack (Z4 GT3, Aston Martin V12, etc.) are completely taken out in place of this new 15th Anniversary offer?

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon. I'd rather start out fresh and have 1mill to blow and tune my own car then be given 20 cars right from the get go.

I'm wondering if you haven't pre-ordered yet, are you still able to get these cars as part of the pre-order bonus as well if I get it at Gamestop, say Wednesday? I'm not complaining though, hell I will still start with 25 cars. Of course, they will probably just sit there for awhile anyways as I want the bonuses, but still want to work my way up the ladder in the beginning lol.:dopey:

You won't be able to use them off the bat anyway, unless they meet the restrictions for the a-spec races. This was noted on the ps blog. 👍
