Primus Ortus

Fantastic! I love the lighting in the first shot ( funny I seem to remember saying this before. ;)) đź‘Ť

Hehe, thanks Nato - I appreciate that you take the time to visit by gallery and comment. I liked the lighting as well.

Great shots, love the first one with the painted line. đź‘Ť

Thanks GP! That's very nice of you to say!

Here's one more - a hold out, so to speak. Just playing with the edits...

You're back!!! That's a good thing for Christmas! ;)

Now, the Vette shot. I like it's happy bright colours. Also the blur you have pieced in. I think it has to be edited in makes it look spectacular. Well done, mate. đź‘Ť

Just one shot. Hope you like!

Thanks my friend!

đź‘Ť:tup:Alfa shot is great!
You my friend know how to show a line of a car!

Wow, that's quite a compliment. Thank you! However, I believe the Alfa gives good face, so to speak, no matter what I do (or don't do) to it. :sly:

Now that I'm finally done with a little 24 Hours of Le Mans race, I can get back to taking some photos. The latest CCCL piqued my interest, so I went back out to Le Sarthe, dusted off the F1, gave her a new paint job, and went to work. I really wish the CCCL was 2.0, because I kinda like the edit on a couple of these. I hope you like them too!

Be sure to click on them!

Very very nice! The mood in the shot is great!

Thanks Solo!

Holy 🤬.

Love your work. Just love it.

Lol, thanks Ryan - I appreciate the visit!

Wow, thanks everyone! It's funny how different everyone's taste is. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. My favorite of all is the second photo (with the first one close behind). I tend to favor artistic rather than realistic photos. I can stare at the second photo in high res all day... :dopey: My least favorite was photo number 5 - I don't know why. Maybe it's too dark, or the way the headlights turned out...

I'm glad to be done with that endurance race finally. I was really looking forward to getting back into taking pictures. I guess GT5 has something for just about anyone. All I can say is that if a seasonal event comes out on Cirque de la Sarthe, thereby requiring me to use a X2010, I'll be good to go. My best time around the track was a 2:14 and change - no corner cutting. (Which is probably 10 seconds slower than most people, but it was good for me... đź‘Ť)

Here's a little re-edit of the first pic for fun. I added a smoke effect in Gimp by adding a thick gray line along the road, diffusing it with gaussian blur, and swirling/distorting it with iwarp. Then, I increased saturation, blended some more blue into the sky and increased contrast to the front of the bonnet. Of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I changed the color of the sky, blended it down and added stars with a pencil.

Additionally, I edited my stock CCCL entry for the gallery. It looks much nicer this way I think:

That Panning Mode 1 - Shot is just sooooo drop dead gorgeous!
Great work here lately, Primus! đź‘Ť

Thank you! Mode 1 doesn't get as much love as I think it should.

Wow !!! :drool::drool:
1st shot is ULTRA AWESOME :) đź‘Ť

Thanks my friend! I hope you also like the re-edit above. :)

Awesome shots of the F1! This may be a bit biased, but I think it's one the most photogenic cars in the game, looks great from any angle. Your editing style just adds a whole new layer of awesomeness to it.

Time for a new update. This one has something for everyone, so to speak - it's a pretty eclectic bunch of pictures. The 458 Italia is up there on my list of the most beautiful objects on the face of the earth. The lines on this car are amazing - graceful and slender. Very feminine, yet the headlights tell a different story, and suggest something fierce. This car definitely has character in spades. Not many sports cars look good in a variety of colors, yet the 458 looks amazing in just about anything you put on it. Dark blue, dark red, black, silver, or white. It doesn't matter - the car is still amazing. My poor attempt at GT5 photography and editing can't give the car justice, but I had a good time racing it around Nurburgring and taking photos nevertheless. Thanks for visiting!

Fairy tale :)

Thanks for the drools! LOL. That pic reminded me of some of the posters I had on my wall as a kid...except back then it was a Countach, not an F1. :)

That is brilliant! LOVE IT! Merry Christmas to you. :)

Thanks as always Nato! Merry belated Christmas to you to. I hope you had a great holidays!

What a great Christmas gift for all of us GT fans! thanks

Hey bro! Thanks for stopping by - I hope you had a great Christmas.

Hey GP, thanks a bunch. I agree, the F1 is great to begin with, but PD did a fine job on it. Even I can't screw it up that bad... :dopey:

Perfect settings, mate!!! đź‘Ť I just don't know how you do it.

Aw, thanks Skython! Hope you had a great holidays my friend.

That 1st F1 shot is epic!!!

EPIC! Hehe. No, I wouldn't say that. Perhaps mediocre is a better description, but I'll take it where I can. :)

Am speechless. Amazing work đź‘Ť

Dang - speechless from the guy who keeps winning all the comps... Thanks DarkR!

Your editing skills are amazing!

Hey Solo! Hope you had a great holidays and new year. My editing skills are barely luke warm, but I have fun with the process. I appreciate the kind words!

Don't know, but this has to be your best update to date!
Pictures 1 and 2 are close to perfection! Paaah, they are!

I really wished mine would've looked like that. So I just released one, but that is nothing comparing to yours!

Outstanding update, Primus!

Sorry for not posting on your gallery lately just not come across it that often.

But back to the set, this has to be one of the best sets from you. Just the mood of the shots alone, and the angle's of the shots are epic. My favorite has to be the first one, that is in my top 10 of the best pictures I have ever seen on :gtplanet:
