Problems So FarPS4

I can now confirm that my DS4 controller is the reason why I've been unable to reach top speeds and keep up with AI opponents in AC. I went into DiRT Rally and assigned steering to L2 (left) and R2 (right) and I found that the on-screen steering wheel didn't turn all the way to the right like it did to the left. I then switched the two commands around to make sure it was the controller and not the turning animation. The difference between the working button and faulty button was like 5 degrees.

It's kind of sad to think about those hours I've enjoyed DiRT Rally without realizing I had a throttle issue, but perhaps equally hilarious how I've still managed to score a few top 100 spots on its rather crowded leaderboards.

As buying a wheel will have to wait for now, I finally have a good reason to get one of those official controllers resembling the grey ones that came with my Playstation in 1997. :D

Thanks to everyone who helped getting to the root of the problem. I look forward to driving the cars in AC with a fully working accelerator. :)

I use my T300 on PC version of Assetto Corsa. That works with the "red" mode light on. The "red" mode is also required for PS3 operation.

Instructions say the "green" light should be on of PS4 operation. With the Green light on, my G27 pedals have throttle on the left and clutch on the right. How is that changed in Assetto Corsa for PS4?

What? The red light signals that you throttle is at the right side and clutch left. When you use. They T3PA Pro Pedal set, you can flip it up side down. Pedals are hanging. So you have to switch throttle and clutch gains each other. There for, the green light is.

Thanks Oct. I got squared away two weeks ago. I forgot about the T500 and pedal inversion.

Want some more bad news? Of course you do:cool:. The fastest time on that board under special event conditions is 1:56.019 by Stefan Maier:eek:. Let us know how you fare:cheers:

Note: The RSR boards are not necessarily representative of the fastest possible times, just the time recorded by whomever has the app and happened to have it on when they ran the laps.

Gold baby :) Many a bumper was abused, lol.

I can't figure out where to put my code for the preorder bonus so I can unlock those cars, can someone point me in the right direction?

Did you receive an E-mail with your code? Mine came from GameStop. I was thinking it was on my paper receipt.
Once I found it in my email, I entered the data in the PS Store. No further issues.

So did you check your email yet? 👍

I'm all sorted thanks! I thought there was a place in the game itself to input the code, but once I was directed to the store I was all set.

Unfortunately I'm not playing AC as much as I thought I would. I'm still drawn to the seasonals and a couple of online race series that I'm in on gt6. So there's not a lot of time for AC.
If they get customizable online race lobby's I think everyone will shift to AC from Gt6. If they can do that before gtsport comes out then I think that people will not even bother gtsport unless it works anmazing with the PSVR.
Based on the reviews of driveclub VR it'll be iffy if PD can pull it off even after a undefined delay.

I think you're right mate. Assetto Corsa has to catch up to GT and even Project cars with their on-line lobby's
If they do, and GT Sport still looks and sounds as it does now, Polyphony Digital will be in big trouble selling GTS.
I don't think we've even seen how tuning adjustments are made yet.

It's good that you still enjoy GT6. I was very disappointed with PD so I haven't played in over a year.
But I'll never forget the first four GT games. That's why I've been so off put by GT 5 & 6.

Anyway, glad you found the PS store. See you on-line.👍

I am doing the same as you at the moment 👍, I wish AC had a online leaderboard like in GT6 and then I will be playing AC a lot more.

So, I bought the game today. installed, everything seems ok, except online. all the lobbies are completly empty! i don't know if i am doing something wrong or what.. i am on ps4.

Nothing wrong. A lot of them are that way. Go into a racing one, wait, and eventually others will join.

Yes, this is true for most of the time. I should also point out that the online lobbies are region locked too, so you only see people in lobbies in you own geographic area :-(

Invite friends into your game mate, that's the best way,

This is the problem. Out of the 15-20 friends I used to race with only 1 has AC and the rest are not interested in getting AC until there are private lobbies. For me (and I am sure others) it is a catch 22 situation.

I have even gone back to racing on PCARS so I can have some online fun and think I will end up back on GT6 where the majority of my friends still race.

My perfect game would be the physics of AC, the tracks from PCARS and the online from GT6 (minus the not seeing people from time to time)

Well you send me a psn friend request and i can then extend it to the rest of my friends, bare in mind though that i will be your safety car.

What time zone are you in and at what times do you generally race at? I am GMT +8 and am usually on in the evenings.

Also we (my friend and I) are having trouble with some of the online lobbies. e.g getting stuck in the pits and not being able to select gears and the fake weather causing some tracks to be too dark and dismal to race on.

UTC+02:00 South Africa, right now it is 11:19, i usually play between 6pm till 10pm, i have experienced the dark effect as well.

I was shocked with the dark effect on Mugello. Even with the headlights on there was no lights on the track. Not a thing and damn was it dark trying to spot the corners in the dips correctly.

Recently downloaded this to muck about on the Xbox. Fancied just hot lapping etc.

No leaderboards.......at all? Can't believe it.

The PS4 is having even less GT3 races available and there seems to be lots of rammers on...

Most have 1 - 3 players for track days and can count on one hand how many close to full lobbies. Why is it so hard for some people to watch their braking into the first corner? I really detest people that hound your rear bumper with no margin for error or use you for a brake.

And this is why we demand private lobbies with a kick button.

And this is why we demand private lobbies so we can change that too.

TIP: if you vote to reset the session it will rotate through the options until you can find a clear track.

I'm racing in the 2nd of the 300 lap GT3 career events, 23 laps into the Mugello race the controller started vibrating crazily and the car froze in position, nothing would fix it. I tried going back to the pits but the car just got stuck there with no option to even pause the game.

Maybe I'll try again when they fix the game, maybe not.

Interesting. I have had a problem at Mugello where the race would not start and I was stuck on the grid. If I took tuning off (put car back to standard) it would then start. I think Mugello is bugged, any problems I get seem to be here as well.

Are the driving wheels supposed to calibrate during game launch or give slight feedback in the menus, just like in GT?
My T150 wheel doesn't.
And the overal experience is very poor, have tried countless different FFB setting, but it's always giving very strong wheel braking vibrations rather than proper feedback. Especially if standing still in the pits or at race start..

DoR (automatic degree calibration) is broken in the 1.09 Update...
Some cars like modern Formulas aren't drivable..
We have to wait till next update to have DoR system and FFB realeted fixed

Must be a T150 bug. T300 works fine for me.
