I can remember when the 300 was a race strictly for Group 3E Production Cars, and it turned out some absolute rippers.

I was a Flag Marshall for the 1989 race & that was a David versus Goliath battle I'll never forget.

Rebel Rock loses the GS championship because the Lone Star Mercedes they drove over at VIR parked their car on the last lap at Road Atlanta which moved the 96 Turner BMW up a place which gave them a 10 point win.

Rebel Rock has filed an appeal, I have a hard time seeing anything happening though considering even if they can show nothing was actually broken Lone Star could just say they had a concern and parked it out of caution.
