Also the endurance aspect of GT racing anywhere your budget can stretch to, as opposed to the Sprint idea with TCR of shorter races. Can’t rely on the Supercars World Tour deal. If I were any of the TCR participants I’d be cutting my losses and trading up for a Mustang, Vantage or Supra.
Yeah, just like you posted I’d put my hand up too if a team want to add variety to their garage.
Absolutely.Indeed. Since branching off from the brief Production Series, GT4 is proving anyone have a chance of winning. Rarely are cars being taken out, less safety car intervention and mandatory pit stop throw it up for all to have a crack within the hour, but boy it’s a quick hour.
Missed it. GT4?Now that was a race.
Yes. Lots of action and swapping places. Drivers that had a bad day yesterday made up for it today.Missed it. GT4?
Hopefully, Brodie's Alfa is a real opposition to the endless fleet of BMW winners, that make the outright contest a real bore. How cool is this?!

If the race isn't about outright victory, then someone needs to tell the TV Producer.Should be whatever is beneath the M cars. As Mustang run GT and Camaro SS(not top of the line Shelby and ZL1). The prices shouldn't be the only factor as to cap performance. No way a 276bhp Lancer is going to win outright ever. Even though I know the organisers made the race more about class wins, than about outright winning.
I think the Paul Morris 335i was the last "normal" bimmer to win. The M135i(?) that Morris won in outright did beat the M4, but it wasn't a normal 135i.
They do. $150,000If the race isn't about outright victory, then someone needs to tell the TV Producer.
Seems to me they can barely bother covering the class battles for any more than 2 laps for the entire 6 hour race!
The other thing they really need to consider, is a price cap on the entry list.
What's wrong with a $150k ceiling?

We're seeing cars like the 86, but more BMWs than anything. Kind of wish this series would be like Super Taikyu, minus the GT3 cars.
Cap it at $100k. That’s plenty, because I think the Sherrins went and spent like another $120k on their M4.The field is comprised of cars in eight classes, separated by performance levels and vehicle affordability with the field including $130,000+ BMWs in the outright category, through to $20,000 Suzuki Swift Sports in Class E.
Yeah, the Sherrins bought their first BMW M4, then spent equal to the purchase price on race preparations, and the same amount again filling their transporter with spares, and when you're in the mood may as well get another M4.They do. $150,000

I guess there is a marketing angle if someone was to run an SUV, but the reward versus risk would make me too nervous. No doubt. Alrighty, Lancers are twelve years old. One of the articles above even mentions someone can run an SUV. There have got to see some out there with more performance than those older cars. Kona N? VW T-Roc? New Forester?
Anyway, the Gazoo Racing cars and Civic Type-R(surprised these haven't been raced after the Integra Type-R stopped production) should hopefully, fill some age gaps.
Go the Polo. Interesting that it's in Class C.A GR Yaris ran in last weekend's race. Surprisingly, a Polo was annoying a couple of faster cars. Those cars couldn't shake it.

I guess the Alfa race weight would be close in weight to the M3. Should be a good fight when they meet.
They’ve gone good for the past couple years since debuting in Super Taikyu.Go the Polo. Interesting that it's in Class C.
If I recall correctly, the Bargwanna Golf GTi from the 2022 6-hr was also Class C.
I'd love to talk with anyone that has run a GR Yaris at full stretch on a circuit.
It'll be interesting to see if people take on the GR Corolla and how competitive that turns out to be.They’ve gone good for the past couple years since debuting in Super Taikyu.
👍Interest in the Mustang GT4 is high as Miedecke expects at least four to be on the Monochrome GT4 Australia grid in 2025. Plus, there is an option for more to arrive ready for the start of next season.
“From a timeframe point of view, getting a Mustang GT4 for next year is getting tight,” Miedecke explained.
“There’s now four that have been sold in Australia, with Gomersall’s, our one and we’ve sold another, which will be on the grid next year. We have an opportunity for one or possibly two more before the start of next year and we’re currently discussing with a few interested buyers on those.”
