Amazon messed up my pre-order and canceled it the day of release, I ended up having to preform a digital download. Is there anyway to get the car pack I was promised?

Are you sure? The Motorsport Pack is a Season Pass only DLC.
@jake2013guy

this is on the xbox store, only the season pass is on the ps store.

Can someone help me save when i change the hud? Been trying for 10 minutes to put the map bottom left which isnt a problem but the game seems to be refusing to save it constantly putting it back to its default. I cannot figure out what im doing wrong.

Also on the lapboard when someone has a tune next to their name how do you download it?

I am super frustrated at the moment. I made the wrong decision to go to sportcars lite series. Every race I have 🤬 struggled. The car is so inconsistent and the brakes are horrible. I made adjustments but it still didn't feel good. I lowered the AI all the way down to 70 (before that I had it 90) and I still can't get above 12th. It's no way to leave that motorsport during the middle of the season? Because I can't take this anymore. I wanna go to a different series so badly. :banghead:

HUD I also had issue not being able to save the change. I was trying to move two items at once. Someone told me to move only one choice, then save, then repeat for the next change. worked for me.

Also watch for which driving view you are saving. Located in the center of the screen. You can save different HUD layouts for different driving views.

As far as saves, can not answer.

I am starting to get increasingly annoyed at one aspect of the game. Saving the car setups.

Not sure if this is an issue impacting other platforms, but on PS4 its rage inducing.

For example, I am in the middle of the Formula C championship. I go to a race in Monaco, so I want to tune out some tyre pressure and increase my downforce so I can maintain some heat. I go to edit the set up and the profile that loads is not a formula C car - its the Dallara Indy Car which is completely different. Even the restrictor was messed up.

Is there a secret to getting set ups to work properly? Every race I go into I am having to change my tuning. I save it, it saves over hte existing setup and then I race. I load the next race and the same thing happens. I wish I didnt have to 'save and overwrite' my set ups every time. Just quit out and it saves for me or something.

Also, restoring default values. Is there anyway to only restore gearing to default and not the entire set up - Suspension, tyres, chassis etc?

Last thing to vent - the Formula C at Bathurst are pulling 2:11.xxx lap times in quali. I couldnt get with in 9 seconds of them. This wasnt with skipping to the end of the session. This was in the middle of the quali session.

I just ran a test run for a league, Super Trofeo at COTA. They run full damage and mechanical failures on. I was just running with performance impacting and mechanical failures on and after 2 laps my engineer says to not over rev it. A lap later my engine blows. Stock settings. What in the hell do I do? It's a 50 minute race with one mandatory pit stop and tire wear is accelerated.

Check the weather conditions before the race. You may need to tweak how open your radiator is. Also you can change the brake ducting too if you have overheating brakes.

So I'm simply doing some quick races right now, I haven't started the career yet however I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this bug before. I'm just doing 10 laps races for fun but every one of them the AI do a Pit Stop at lap 8 or 9 which is completely unnecessary and makes me win by default. Is this normal?

BTW I don't have the option Mandatory Pitstop ON in the Menu.

I need help. I cannot turn autoclutch off! It's really making me mad! I have the button mapped, and whenever I press it it only displays "autoclutch on" each press. I've tried turning off auto start engine as well. Does anyone else have this problem? PC.

Also, is the time trial ui super bugged? I just want to do all the gt4 cars to see which is fastest and it is very finicky about when it wants to save a time. I switched from global to personal, car class o specific vehicle and still my times don't show up

Hey @IanBell is it possible to make it so that Time Trial leaderboards can be toggled between specific classes and cars rather than the general Road Car/Touring Car/GT/Prototype/Open Wheel setup currently? I hate having to contend with the leaderboard showing me several seconds off the pace but everyone else is in GT1 cars while I'm in a GTE. I'm on the PS4.

I think this was touched on during one of the Developer Live Streams. The consoles were very restricted as to how much could be saved. I think we're stuck with the way it is, and it's out of SMS hands.

I had this happen. I did a 30 minute Muti class race a few days ago and just about everyone in my class pitted. I started last and finished 4th. It was 12 cars in my class that I was driving. I only passed like 3 cars in that race. The rest of the positions I gained was because of the pit stops the AI made. Idk if the AI fuel load isn't full or what.

@IanBell do you have a rough idea of when the next patch will be ready/released?
SMSoon**. Not to be confused with "Soon"*.

God, that's a longer list of trademarks and side effects then an American over the counter drug commercial.

Guys, I'm curious to know if anyone of you use the Helmet view with that camera/head tilting and looking at the apex.

I always fount that it looked nice in videos and wanted to try it! Yet when I did, it was confusing and I couldn't judge my speed entry so ended up not driving very well! To be fair I tried it for like 3 laps max! Maybe didn't give too much time!

The other thing is that I drive also Assetto so I didn't want to change the way I view things so I don't cripple it for me! You know I mean one game driving really straight view and one with dynamic head shakes and apex stuff!

Opinions, findings, remarks and feedback on that is appreciated.

After all this bug-fest, a console point of view:
I can't understand how some people can be thankful to the developers even if they have encountered game breaking bugs (in some cases numerous bugs) in the game.

It is alarming. You are sending the wrong message to the developers and gaming industry by doing that!

I tried it and it's good for those who like that kind of immersion. I however, use the cockpit view with world movement to 100 and looking to apex 0. Only 20% Gforce and high speed shake (or something like that). All the moving may look nice when watching a video, but while actually driving the game myself, no just no.

Agreed, and that's not even mentioning the added costs for downloading patches. SMS are not alone here, it seems like all developers do it these days. I have a friend that's renting so he can only have pre-paid broadband at the moment, 14gb cost him $30 AUD on top of the $79 he paid for the game, that's a fairly substantial mark up.

Patches are nowadays a known thing. We know that before any games is launched. If you do not like that, don't buy a new game.

I am glad SMS patches the game and continue to keep in touch with us.

I drove the Jag XJR9 around Daytona for a while yesterday... oh my god what a machine. And what I really loved was really feeling the downforce of the car in the FFB, it felt heavier where it should and then lightened up as the downforce came off the car in the slower sections. Just fantastic.

When this game gets it right its better than pretty much anything else available on console, including Assetto Corsa.
