Random question about Project Cars 1. When changing the seat position (forward/backward/up/down/angle up/angle down), does each car remember the settings for itself uniquely or does it reset every time I get in a different car?
So far for me each car has been remebering it.

Sweet thanks. Is there a setting that turns the vertical movement off? Like when going up a hill or down a hill it moves a lot. I'd like to turn that off but keep the helmet moving to apex left/right.

Think it's the world movement setting you need to adjust. And just confirming that the seat position does stay saved for each car. Nice touch.

New franchise they said and Reiza had the Truck license so far ;). Also I can't see the connection with Sonic the hedgehog.

ps. I can already tell that you guys will love night racing in this game, SMS put a lot of TLC into making sure that the night atmosphere is recreated perfectly at every track. As we will have proper headlight effects (something which some games still ignore :P), it will be very immersive to do races in the dark.

Just to put it simple..., the headlights in Pcars1 sucked

Yeah I haven't booted up 1 since more than a year but the headlights were way too weak no? From what I experience now in 2 that has already been improved a lot (WIP of course), and aside from that we are all nagging for it to be properly simulated depending on the classes.

But that's enough teasers for now though ;). I'm supposed to keep my mouth shut but the hype train can always use some coals.

The 'massive news' that is coming has nothing to do with pCARS. You heard it here first. It's a new franchise and very VERY exciting :)

A full collaboration with The Grand Tour...
Narrated by Clarkson, May, and Hammond, traveling to interesting locations around the world, taking on challenges.... er wait, Amazon would never sign off on this.

Seriously though Ian, my guess is a proper flight simulator, something console really needs.

"Here you can see 3 different people. They do not look broken from the outside but they are broken on the inside. These 3 people haven't received information for Project CARS 2 in 3 hours and are beginning to struggle. Jake here is trying to find news from literally everywhere before giving up and looking at and regretting looking at the GT Sport section. The others went to bed. Unfulfilled by the day's lack of information.

One piece of Project CARS 2 information will keep them from struggling for 3 hours. Please give generously."

On my (not as often as I really should) browse on PRC.net, I found this article which was an interesting read with this paragraph.
Why Do I keep Thinking This is TCR?
Yet not every car is up to this level of competence, but I guess that’s to be expected from a game still heavily in development. A few weeks ago I was tasked with testing a specific class of car that I’m super excited to see in the game (good versions of these cars are impossible to find even in rFactor), and discovered in my shakedown sessions that the default setup warranted lap times several seconds faster than the real life pole time. So after finding this and reporting it, there were a few days where I’d sign on, run laps, post lap times in the appropriate thread, wait for an update to the cars, then do it all over again. We’re much closer to real world performance figures now than we were when I first started running shakedown laps in the class, so I’m glad I took the time to run those cars hard for a few days. On the plus side, one of the cars crashed spectacularly on me in the same manner it had crashed in real life, so that was confirmation the aero numbers were correct. I think y’all can figure out which car I’m talking about here.

Good versions impossible to find. I only found a Hungarian TCR mod of the 2015 season when looking for Rfactor 2 mods.

Formula X confirmed. Like the Red Bull X cars.
We know you're watching James
They were indeed not going to include the 2011 Formula A in the game, nor a remodeled equivalent to 2015/2016/2017 specs.

As somebody has said previously, there is a Formula X, but it’s a red bull X1-type car. Hardly the same thing.

SMS were originally going to use a lesser open wheel car that was DLC in the first game as the primary top level open wheel car. I advised them against it for obvious reasons, and the Formula A showed up two days later.

The only thing is I can't think of a "spectacular" crash in TCR, granted I've only watched this and the previous year's IS so I can't say that there haven't been any either. The worst I can remember off the top of my head was Nash last year in Thailand but that wasn't spectacular to me, for it to be that I think of cars in the air.

Tassi at Pouhon?
Or they're crashing cars into walls and reviewing information from Macau.
There's also the start crash at Valencia involving an Opel which I forgot.

Looking back to 2015 Macau there was a crash I'd almost call spectacular, but I don't really want it to be that because Macau is barely wide enough to be a bike track let alone cars.

Ian said that Macau licensing was "interesting" for Project CARS 1. I meant reviewing information from the Macau races which were essentially crashfests.3

Although the quote below would be more Tassi because of Spa being in game.

Reading the article, I get the impression that he is talking about the Mark Webber, Mercedez CLK crash at Le Mans. I didn't associate his comments with being TCR related. Mainly because of his comments about the aero numbers being correct. In fact, I don't even know where the TCR comment came from at all. @jake2013guy was that your addition?

Not the CLK. Because the CLK is in many games. Although I could be wrong about that. It was just the first class I could think of from this quote as well as there being only 1 mod by a Hungarian group for the 2015 International season.

We know you're watching/laughing Ian.

I think you're right and he was talking about the GT1 cars.
I have to agree with you, we've had no news or leaks about TCR other than a few gigles on twitter about it so, if we get that class in the game, it might comes as DLC.

That could be the rumored Sampala track that we heard about a long time ago.

Also some news about career mode have surfaced.
“It is much bigger, there are a lot more disciplines. Rallycross has come in, IndyCar is in there too and we’ve also added historic racing into the career. A lot of the time, when you’re a real-world driver, say for Porsche, they take you out to historic events. It’s possible to be a champion in a lot of different types of racing in the new game.”
