Advantage? What? Look, I'm a resident disabled person, with similarly curved wrists. If I'm not put off by the post you shouldn't either.

So you speak for all disabled people?

I don't have a problem with the post, but that doesn't mean it's not distasteful.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.
I meant no disrespect.

But please understand controller handling issues shouldn't be described as suitable simply because someone with a handicap can successfully steer a car.
That's a tough post to word correctly, and I hope I haven't offended you further.

No, dude, I get it. It doesn't excuse the previous game's shortfalls in usability and handling. I just think the reaction to a harmless post was a bit much.

Harmless post?
It actually came across to me as a cheap shot.
Hence my response.

Everybody, in their own circumstance, view these things differently.
But I still maintain the reference to playability with a controller regarding that tweet was unnecessary and should have been left out of it.

I think everyone is overreacting a bit...quit trying to find some sort of fault in something someone says. It seems as if anything could offend someone now.
Who's offended?
Let's not make it out more than it is.

I said I find it distasteful, and uneccessary, and I hold that opinion.

You were implying that it was offensive.
I'm pretty sure my words *were "distasteful" and "uneccessary".

Perhaps the problem is with people implying "offence" when there actually isn't any.

If you can't understand how suggesting a handicapped person playing a game is evidence that that game has suitable controller application for the masses is wrong, then I may as well give up.

*Edit.
Changed "we" to "were" because it didn't make sense. ;)

I really wanna see gameplay of a NASCAR at Daytona with AI. A few things I wanna know is:

  • What's the AI like on a oval
  • What's the bump drafting like and does it actually work.
  • The speed of the cars at Daytona
  • The handling of the car in the corners.

Yep, the Fusion on Pcars 1 had some problems, specially on low speed situations. I also thought the brakes were too powerful, resulting in laptimes way faster than real life.

Hoping they nail side drafting, and specially one lane racing in places like Indy. I really don´t care all that much for livetrack in wet conditions, what i want to see is grip build up, second lane forming, that kind of stuff that relates to the racing line.

Hopefully they got rid of the glue effect that made pack racing impossible.

If my words to that post offended anyone, report it. Simple as that.
Advantage? Of proving an argument about controller handling in PC1? Of a person that can use a controller with one hand vs a person having trouble using a controller with both hands? Is that the argument? I don't know.

I doubt me explaining my post, would reach through to the judgement already bestowed upon my words. I'm not offended by that though. Seriously not.

And yet, you seemingly have gotten rather upset about someone simply disagreeing with your original statement.

Anyways, I'm done with PC2, the game looks great but the community around it really gives me a sour taste in my mouth.

That photo proves nothing though, it just shows he plays with a controller and not how it plays. It doesn't mean people should just suck it up if it's not enjoyable on a pad. There's a guy who plays Assetto with a mouse, he has no arms ( it's really impressive ),but that doesn't mean no one else should have an excuse not to play with a mouse.

Edit: Also I'm bloody damn well offended, just not sure what by yet.

I think things are getting a little too heated...and I think you're making a bigger deal out of something than it needs to be.

I am certainly not, I don't have any issue with what he posted and have made zero issue out of it. I merely pointed out why the picture and statement doesn't hold up.

What a strange way to decide whether to get a game or not.
If I were to use that criteria I would never buy a racing game as all racing communities have something I dislike. E.g. iRacing forums, AC forums, RaceDepartment forums, just to name a few.

Agreed. But each to their own.

I'm not upset at all. That's why I ends with "Seriously". Telling me how I feel doesn't help the argument. I expressed myself about the matter. My posts are 99% lighthearted. I'm at the age where many things roll off my back. No probs.
