Don't know if someone posted this video here somewhere...
Nice to see the livetrack 3.0 working..

But AI really need some work.., nice to see that they make mistakes or suffer aquaplaning, but it's a quite bit to much...

What a strange way to decide whether to get a game or not.
If I were to use that criteria I would never buy a racing game as all racing communities have something I dislike. E.g. iRacing forums, AC forums, RaceDepartment forums, just to name a few.

As games become more online focused the community itself plays a bigger role in the experience. There's quite a few redeeming qualities in the Forza and GT communities that make up for the asshats (Those are the only 2 other racing games I play with large communities), I'm having a hard time seeing that in the PC2 community.

Um, wasn't it mentioned they were on slicks?

What is it about the pCars 2 community that makes you think it's a bad community? If anything the people who come to this side of gtplanet from other communities are the ones who cause the most problems.

I really want to create my own online racing series on this game with some of you guys. I think it would be lot of fun because soo many of us are interested in this game. Is it a good idea @jake2013guy?

To add to this. Thinking logically, if the AI was set to a low level in the video I would think they would make more mistakes than if they were set to a higher level. If I am right it is justified by assuming the AI would be on a low level in the first place because the player will be making mistakes just like the AI.

It just seems very hostile and it doesn't help when you have PC fans going into other sections just to say how great PC is (There's only a couple people that do this, but they do it a lot more than people who come here to start crap). For instance I stated earlier in this thread that I would like an owner mode, only to see several people, including someone that works on PC2, say that it wasn't a good idea. That doesn't exactly scream "welcoming community" to me.

Sure some people can be pushy with their opinions, but that certainly doesn't qualify a community to be hostile in my book. The people who yell the most get noticed the most. Don't let that reflect on the whole community. Welcome to the community. ;)

Yeah, there are times people get defensive about pCARS and act a bit superior to other games, but it's not bad. I mean nothing much different from other games.

@Northstar -- There is definitely a peculiar undercurrent of "no fun allowed" elitism or an aversion to ideas/preferences that are associated with "lesser" games, which mostly seems to originate from a hardcore-PC-sim-oriented perspective. However, take it from me, that has been watered down a lot since the months before PCARS1 released. That should continue the more PCARS grows.

So I know that a dry line is present in the code but I just don't see it in actual gameplay when it stops raining and starts drying up...

Great demonstration video, although the same thing was actually visible in the BAC Mono video above as well, I was specifically looking for it, but the extreme time acceleration made it harder to see.

To add to this. Thinking logically, if the AI was set to a low level in the video I would think they would make more mistakes than if they were set to a higher level. If I am right it is justified by assuming the AI would be on a low level in the first place because the player will be making mistakes just like the AI.

I can't really comment on this specifically, as I don't know the settings used in the video, but it's also worth considering that if the AI will be making more human-like mistakes this time (and it certainly seems that will be the case), then it makes perfect sense that making weather even more unpredictable by accelerating the changes it brings will force the AI to make more mistakes, just like it would a player.

That said, one moderator on the official forums mentioned that the number of mistakes the AI drivers make will likely be toned down a bit for release.

Yes. I'm pretty sure there are still a few series running on PC1 and will explode with life at least at the start of PC2.

If I remember correctly it was Semi slick. Read it from WMD forum.
Yeah. He's right.

Just getting curious but hasn't it been a long time since we have gotten the Porsche Passion video I think we should get the third one.
I was thinking this yesterday. Not expecting it this week because Track List. But maybe next week?

Just FYI but Oculus Rift is on sale for $399/€449/£399 for the next few weeks, so if you were thinking of getting into VR now could be the time. I paid a few times more than that and I have to say it's an impressive piece of technology. If only resolution was higher, it'd be close to perfect.

Thanks for sharing.

There is something very satisfying watching AI spin out and put it in the wall.

For far too long, AI have been mocking us and not making mistakes. SMS are going to Make AI Greater Than before!

Sent a nice reminder.

Yep. They're waiting until 23:59 UK time.

Yes I'm childishly excited to see them wrecking like that.
To the point where I've decided to make a Project Cars 2 AI epic crash montage on youtube, post release that is.
