Those that invested in pCARS1 have passed 350% in returns. Those are interest rates not generally available or associated with 'shady'. I'll say it here. Stefano should be ashamed of himself.
I was about to post something along these lines. Too bad I had only limited funds to put into it, but still a few grand of returns is pretty awesome :)

Just noticed it was him who said that. Wow, just wow. I've seen some extremely questionable posts from him, berating real drivers who wanted to help AC get better, but this post of his takes the cake. I sure as hell wouldn't want to work together with an ego like that.

I was about to post much the same thing. A 'shady' company would have backtracked and lied at every step to avoid paying any returns. That you are still paying out, more than 2 years after release, is proof, if any that was needed, that you guys are far from 'shady' :).

Yes, although I sincerely hope the whole team had the chance to rest in shady conditions after the release of the first game and will have the same chance with the second, seeing how they will most likely surpass all expectations again.

Clearly, Stefano's got proof that you are and needs to show it. If you were, I'm sure somebody internal to WMD would have discussed it already because 2 million unit sales with an enjoyable product doesn't exactly preach shadiness. If he has proof, he needs to show it. If not, he needs to backtrack and admit immaturity.

The only way you could call the series shady is the shade on circuit from the sun.

Well, reading his post (and knowing the ones he made in the past), I have a good guess who he thinks the "genius programmer" on "his" team is, so I don't think that will ever happen. Think about it, he thinks his sim is the be-all end-all of sims, that others should use a benchmark (I wonder which one they used). Someone like that is very unlikely to back down, much less admit his own faults, no matter what evidence you present to show how wrong he is.

The best we can do I think is not to let his antics derail this thread.

I'd say we can agree on this.

Pirelli World Challenge and Yokohama. What do these deals mean @IanBell?

Agreed. I didn't join WMD to make money. However, the emails from PayPal where always nice for the little bit of extra pocket money they gave me. I got one recently and it felt great to still be sharing in the success.

The last one (payment) I've received was a total surprise. I though we were done with it already at that time.

I've said it many times: Thank you. I was, I'm and will be for the journey. Break even was a bonus, having some profit (quite a bit of it) unexpected.

Pretty clear from where I stand :D

Now onto something really interesting. About PWC and Yokohama @jake2013guy , Where did that came from?

I seriously want to get involved with that side of things but I don't have a gaming PC, nor live in Europe. Are those necessary?

Career Tree for PWC with graphics. And Yokohama on all original SMS OW cars.

Personally I would consider releasing half a game then not bothering to support it as more shady. The shady bits of PCARS are caused by the shadows from the car lights in the dynamic time of day not replicated on Kunos' PS2 graphics.

I'd say sad as opposed to interesting. It's arrogant and abusive to competitors and we're not 'shady' in any way.

But seeing as he's started it, I'll end it, with pCARS2. Enjoy. I'll let our game do that talking and you'll all have access to it very soon.
I did not pay attention to 'shady' until you pointed it out, this is his opinion not mine.
For me the interesting part was the comment about the physics. Because I would like to hear also and negative opinions about the physics in one game especially since Project CARS 1 was advertised as a sim with very good physics. But as you said 'you'll all have access to it very soon'.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that in all the videos posted it seems like they go out of their way to bump someone under braking or somewhere just to prove it's been fixed. Like they were told by Ian and the gang to make sure the gameplay videos include that.

The only missing car from PWC (GT3) is the Dodge Viper GT3R.
The Viper GT3 achieved his first win in 2014 in Mosport (not PWC, but USCC).

We know that the Mosport Layout is used as Icon in the Track Menu and we also know that there is sth. going on with PWC and pcars 2.
Mabye a future DLC?:P

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, hopefully, but since you're still working on it, can some of you guys give the latest news on controller handling?

That's a strong possibility. The viper and Lexus RCF gt3 are the only GT cars left out this game and DLC with those makes a lot of sense.

We haven't told anyone from WMD anything except for 'the floodgates are opened, post what you want'. There are a few thousand that can confirm that.

@IanBell Interesting you word it that way. I was watching one of the Australian guy (forgive me for not knowing who's who, so many videos) describing the menus and he went into a screen but then quickly jumped back sorta hinting that he didn't want to show that. It made me think certain things were still off limits to have their own official reveals, y'know?

Are you seeing the suggestions here of what to show and sending that along?

I refer you to my post above. It is absolute fact :)

Actually that's not totally accurate.

These are the exact guidelines copied and pasted. They amount to pretty much the same thing though:

Screenshot and Video Sharing - New Guidelines
The floodgates are now open, you can freely share screenshots and videos of the game. Additional guidelines:

1. Please make sure you always use the latest available build (specifically, only content which is in the latest build should be shown, not anything which was in an older build but isn't there now).
2. Don't knowingly include obvious bugs.
3. Note the material as being from a work-in-progress development build.
4. You can show anything that is currently in the game (including the "TBC" cars, it wouldn't hurt to emphasis these initially).

... good luck, and enjoy. Obviously we want the game to be shown in a good light (keep that photo mode goodness coming!), but we absolutely trust you guys to do that, and we're quite confident in the game anyway

Don´t know why but Dodge and Mid Ohio are still to me, DLC material. It just makes sense considering everything we´ve seen from the game.

I know some licenses are locked out due to other games getting it, but if you guys can get SuperGT and JGTC cars and tracks, that would be the ultimate thing. I love it like Pcars 2 has a bunch of games within the game, kind of like Indycar is just one series inside of a huge game that has a lot more...

There´s no such thing as too much information, it just helps the hype. You can tell us about DLC and stuff, we won´t tell anyone ;)

@IanBell, any word on if they will be fixing some cars stats like horsepower and top speed figures? Some cars are off, some being way off. 3 examples off the top of my head include the 2017 ford gt having too little horsepower, the 91' Audi dtm v8 having way too much horsepower and I believe the Nissan gtp zx turbo which has 1000hp but can only top 150mph??

These should all be fixed by release. We had a LOT of GUI placeholders in this area. The physics are all in place though and have been for some time.
