The only missing car from PWC (GT3) is the Dodge Viper GT3R.
The Viper GT3 achieved his first win in 2014 in Mosport (not PWC, but USCC).

We know that the Mosport Layout is used as Icon in the Track Menu and we also know that there is sth. going on with PWC and pcars 2.
Mabye a future DLC?:P

Doubt it regarding Mosport. The track map was already used as an icon in pCARS1. Go to spectator mode.... You'll see it.... ;)

Purposefully done to annoy you. Combining Super 2000 and TCR was done to annoy me.

I know!! Forget all those others... If you want to find a REAL pCARS/SMS conspiracy, it's RIGHT THERE! "Let's tease F1_Racer68 by using the Mosport map as a button icon, but never ever put the actual track in game.". :P

 You two are funny. All I can see is this emoji  being as both your signatures. Gotta love it. :)
Hey. Don't belittle my irritation at a serious issue. It's even worse than GT3 and GTE. The first 2 letters of the TCR acronym stand for Touring Car and that's what it's always been. It's never been that way for Super 2000. His issue about the Undulating Paul Ricard is ridiculous. Nobody cares about that circuit. He keeps calling it a conspiracy. If Marcello Lotti knew about this, he's probably be pretty mad. Because instead of TCR and WTCC glorydays being in 2 separate classes, they're combined.

Is this good news or bad news?

'Well, ****.

I just learned that it turns out that the devs ran out of time to implement a controller-sensing default setup, so there will only be one default setup per car, and it will be tweaked for pad-playability only (because market realities dictate that pC2 HAS to be drivable on pads out of box).

Yes, it's not ideal and nobody is happy about it internally. I'm HOPING that default, SMS-blessed wheel setups will be made available somewhere. The guys at SMS are open to this and there's an ongoing discussion about how we (WMDers) can help make it happen.

Terribly sorry that this functionality didn't make it in. :( It's definitely not because SMS didn't care enough -- sometimes **** just happens...'

My surprise was we still got the 320. Thought it would been phased out for a new model. Or, something added from that WTCC era. Licensing or executive decision?

I'm going to guess licensing. I remember hearing they wanted the Chevy Cruze as well and with Honda in game now, I would have thought there was a chance of seeing some of their Civic Touring Cars. Hey. I'm sure SEAT wouldn't be too difficult to license either. That's 3 cars. For some reason, they couldn't get the Focus S2000. That's 4 Super 2000 cars excluding the BMW and 2 TCR manufacturers.

I had to think about this a bit but have decided that I don't mind that it is in with the TCR cars, fills out the grid a bit more. BOP'd is ok with me.

Grid Auto Sport had those cars. So. i wonder if that had anything to do with it.
I completely forgot about that. Although Honda's recent so no. With Chevy and Ford, there's that possibility. I'll check the release date to see if it makes sense. June 24th 2014. That makes some sort of sense and SMS might have returned for those cars now. We don't know their Chevrolet and Ford's marketing department though.

Although the Ford is shown here.
2012 Focus ST (BTCC)

The Focus also has a presence in the British Touring Car Championship as Redstone Racing campaigns the Ford Focus ST touring car built to the Super 2000 regulations.

The car showed lots of promise in the early parts of the 2012 season as Mat Jackson was able to clinch two race wins at Donington Park & Thruxton.

Fair enough. I just prefer the cars to be in an accurate class when possible and with there being 3 TCR spec cars, combining those into a TCR class would make sense to me and with the possibility of DLC, there's a chance of manufacturers like Honda, Chevrolet, Ford, SEAT and co allowing their TCR and Super 2000 cars to be modeled.

We have massively increased the detail on tracks in terms of using fully 3d trees, adding live track details, etc. So while the overhead is increased, we've also worked very hard to improve efficiency. On dual cards and on AMD kit in particular we are much faster than we were before. We're running at 90+% efficiency with crossfire and we've optimised other areas massively. We have more to do but a fair summation would be that you'll get more quality for less kit in pCARS2.

Please tell me you have re-engineered all these 3d trees - that you are 'eagerly increasing in number' - so that the fps doesn't fall off a cliff, on tracks like Le Sarthe.... as they STILL do in PC 1 after 2 years. They go from 100 to 25 at the end of the last straight....an issue you have always been aware of but have refused to do anything about.

Refused is a strong word. Maybe you should consider that they couldn't change all of the trees in a patch.

Just like an answer to the implied question...not a debate over semantics.

Well known issue.....even Gran Turismo managed to render those trees at a fps similar to the rest of the game.

So, is PC 2 going to be another game where some of the tracks are undrivable ?

Your tone really does not suit this forum Gabe.

You can't compare game engines like that. It's also not a engine issue, since then every track would have problems. Furthermore, Gran Turismo (up to 6 at least) doesn't use 3D trees (to mention just one thing).

Stop with the hyperbole please. It may be a known issue, but it doesn't make the track undrivable. A few people said in that thread you linked to that there are no problems for them in that part of the track, so the problem is most likely linked to specific graphics options coupled with track geometry or perhaps GPU vendors and/or drivers.

Seems the fix is a couple of posts below the one you linked http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...08fb9e65e859&p=1290949&viewfull=1#post1290949

This game looks impressive but on a PC though. I'm really curious to see how this game runs on the consoles. So far from what I seen on the PC builds it looks so smooth and it's no huge glitches and bugs. I'm curious to see how the development is going for the consoles. I hope it's just about the same.

There is a VVV video kicking about which compares PC to PS4 footage.

Edit: found it.

Quite interesting: In 2014 and 2015 older TC2 and TCR cars (mostly the Seat Leon Cup Racer; which "invented" the TCR reglement) competed in ETCC against each other and in both years both classes were able to score overall wins.

What I don't like about the BMW 320 is that the windscreen sponsor is still the fictional Burnsprings one from PC1 while all the new cars have that nicer looking SMS-TCC one. Same for the numberboard. Would be nice if that would be adjusted, shouldn't be that much work.

Shhhhh.

I agree on the other point. Would make the unofficial liveries look better.

I haven't seen (perhaps just missed) any discussion on what to expect re FFB in console version. I really hope it will be less convoluedthan pCars1. I'll be happy with a decent default setup, perhaps with the convoluted setup as an option for those who want to mess with it
i run a G29 with my old G27 shifter

If you mean the settings here they are.
Hey guys,
First I'd like to say that I'm often reading this forum and that you seem to be a bunch of good guys whereas many communities out there are narrow minded. That's so refreshing ^^

@Johnnypenso

Making a video of it would be very boring but I can explain it a bit if you want (Even if I'm far from a FFB expert).
There are 3 "presets" :
  • Informative
  • Immersive
  • Raw
View attachment 660233

The informative and Immersive presets have an adaptive system running in background while you drive, avoiding the clipping.
It gives you a good "out of the box" feel.

You can also tune the FFB to your taste by moving 4 sliders.
  • Gain

  • Volume
View attachment 660236
  • Tone

  • FX

As I said, I'm far from an expert but if I remember correctly, you can still tune the FFB with a custom file (This is for FFB freaks ^^).
I'm usually running with the Informative one.

The FFB is still worked on currently but it's already much better (and easier to tune) than pCARS 1, in my opinion.

Cheers!

EDIT: I forgot to say that you can adjust the volume and the tone on the fly while driving ^^
EDIT 2: Nevermind I'm not sure about this one. I have to check it to be sure it's still there.
