I hate all the waiting involved in online racing, so I'm always on top of the ready button ASAP. I want the session to START ALREADY.

This is why I don't have PS+. My next subscription will be after PCARS3 arrives, or only after they patch it up if it's as broken as PCARS2 on day one -- with a discount preferably, like the Black Friday deal I got the last time.

I don't play videogames to stare at menu screens doing nothing!! It would help a lot if PCARS3 slashes that waiting time down with its daily races or matchmaking.

Thrustmaster firmware updates available across the board, TTRS 2020 spec 2
TX base now 56

Have a butchers people, check for your wheel.

Just seems to be rj12 peddle identification or something, but still best to have the latest

Important edit:

Looks like you have to manually download the latest drivers & reinstall them as the auto update within the TM control panel is not detecting anything new (tx user) but might help some others if you're experiencing issues.

GTE faster, and more agile, more down force, but feel more heavy on a road. Also GTE sound like monsters in compare to their GT3 counterparts. Still GT3 more balanced, since less control on set ups and variety of results. I can't pick one, GT3 is still very different and then interesting, to add found a word to describe, GT3 is very grounded.

Started playing the game again, but on PC this time after snagging the Deluxe Edition for 85% off. I don't know why, but driving on PC just feels more satisfying than it does on console.

The DLC content I missed out on from console is quite good too. The F355 Challenge feels like an absolute honey to drive.

Ya, welcome. It is hard to describe. Make sure you also check out some of the Custom FFB files that are available at Race Department, they can really transform the feeling of the whole game. In a good way. :)
Not to mention this stuff filling up grids:

The physics engine suffers varying degrees of instability that lessens with more processing power to keep on top of it. Evidence: overworking a base XBone with a full grid, etc., and my 10-20fps experience trying Project CARS: Pagani Edition on my PC.

And maybe something with FFB, I guess.

Carrying a wounded car back to the pits literally

I thought, well surely he means figuratively.

Ok then.

I'm enjoying reading all the posts regarding ACC, I won't post there as I don't own the game or intend to for that matter, but it isn't going down to well & as long as we can ignore the terrible 1st video of PC3 then SMS have got a real good chance here.

Regarding the 1st video of PC3, I believe there's a fine line to attracting new sim racers & complete idiots & that is where the issue lies within that 1st video.

Not blaming SMS directly for that but the PR from a lot of companies this year have been absolutely........
A word has yet to be invented to describe how terrible it's been, but it has been & a terrible one at that.

Gotta love Rimmer :)

I've had a couple of re-looks at it and it really isn't that bad, just a little over enthusiastic on the street racing - for us racecars on circuit guys. But for those that like that sort of stuff, it's well done. It actually shows the overall game quite well, lighting, tracks, sound, car details etc.

Did you ever see this remade video using the same footage but edited and with different music? Much more appealing I thought.

It was more about the ramming & pushing your way through the field.

But yeh, I'll be getting it.

Do you know I've just watched the original again to see this ^ and I've only now just seen the theme that develops throughout. I'm probably a bit slow!

The Merc and the NSX are racing on the street, where they indeed make contact. Then the same 2 cars are shown as faster machines (extra spoilers etc.) and race quite sensibly on a street circuit. Finally they evolve into full Grp 3 machines where they race professionally on a racetrack. It shows a car and drivers progression. The video has more depth to it than at first glance!

ACC is out of line to me, yeah, idea is great, but unfortunately everything looks so terrible. Better still stick to Project Cars 2, not so fancy graphics, and sounds, but at least headlights illuminating the whole road at night. Plus comfortable FOV of choice and very little and no so game breaking lags at some points on tracks.

Hope PC3 will bring more ear porno, for me to not want ACC.

Do you have the Panoz Esperante GTR1? If so give that a drive, it'll keep your ears happy for a while. ;)

Heard about this somewhere around, but forgot to check myself. Still want a proper RSR GTE voice, I'm not happy with this one.

Turn it UP :)

This sounds absolutely brutal on my 1000w surround system.

The BASS!!!!!

On another note regarding the bass, I rewatched The Matrix the other night with my eldest boy & forgot how deep the bass is during the bullet time, my whole house rumbled & it's a 1930s brick house, not like these modern crap plasterboard houses nowadays.

No, I'm so intrigued, I'll check this in game tomorrow.

I'm really liked RSR sound in GT Sport, on low RPM it made windows shaking even on low volume. In Project Cars 2 it kinda lost all deepness in sound, and performs only on high. On other hand GT3 R sounds amazing, like a god damn jet.

RC F could crack a wall if make it loud enough. Let's see what Panoz can do.

To forget about todays bad news about pcars 3 i decided to do a 4 hour endurance race :)

Track - Monza Classic GP
Car - P1 GTR

Wonderful race and i loved every second of driving the gtr around this beautiful track. :)

I know some people just farm those in private lobbies and such, but I decided that my licence will be hard earned and deserved. Also have put a serious goal on the way to hit 1700 mark, whatever it takes. A lot of races, risings from very bottom to up nearly 1800, a lot things had to be learned including most important - pace. Because you can do one fast lap, but can you do consecutive fast laps in living environment, me couldn't, but did some great steps to perform. To add this one platinum race ended up with me being second, had lead for 5 from 7 laps, with guy only 0.500 seconds behind, and decided to pit on 5 lap, and what do you know, we met on a T1, and I did a mistake on an exit, by pushing too hard, and gave him a good second for a last lap, which I didn't managed to take back. Pit Stops made a great impact here, if you know what I mean:).
