So Jimmy Broadbent is not impressed at all and what he says is definitely worrying. By far the most negative first impression on YT and he does seem to have put some effort in this game.

Not my experience of the game and to be honest he was driving like a bit of a pratt.

Did you miss the part at the beginning where he also says it's an old press release version? I never liked any of his videos. Also something about his voice, some kind of speech impediment that bugs me.

yeah cannot agree with him in the slightest.. but then again I don't have an OSW wheel... maybe it's just too different from the sims he's used to. And he obviously didn't set up the car very good :-D

Glad that I just KNOW that he's wrong with everything he says because I have a complete different impression of pcars2.

Really? Guess how much credence I give to a guy who can't even get a little detail like the NAME OF THE PUBLISHER right..... It's Bandai Namco, not "Namco Bandai". Lost me 24 seconds into the video.......

I mean, it's even in their website address..... https://www.bandainamcoent.com/ If he can't even get that basic detail right, how can you trust anything else he has to say?

I also wonder about what his actual settings are, because this video doesn't even remotely resemble ANY of the others we have seen, and his comments about FFB are not even close to what members of my league who are also part of WMD are reporting.

I never liked him too.. he never grew on me... but speech impediment?.. not the right place for this here, or?

I don't know how he had to fiddle around to set up his wheel.. it's 4 sliders for **** sake... it cannot get easier...

"I'm not as blown away by the graphics." Obviously. You've seen the graphics before. That's why you're not blown away.

Ironically, his constant comments about the FFB being "vague" is an incredibly vague comment to make.

and braking early in front of the AI and then complaining he gets bumped.. maybe next time selecting a difficulty that suits more his pace ...

He said Skill was 105 and Aggression was 40. No wonder they were messing up. They had the speed to go fast but not the aggression to try, so when they do it's not pretty. Raise that to 60 or so and that might be better for him.

Concerns me tbh. I don't rate the ffb in pcas one at all & at the end of the day its not been improved in pcars 2 so i was worried it would be like this. ai looks pretty ropey in the video as well.

The AI is from the old press build, I think before the fix. Looks at any recent videos from BeetsJuice and others. I don't have any major concerns about AI at the moment, except not sure about their handling or ice/rain/grass. Otherwise they are more than solid.

hey you should watch my videos where i race the AI in the rain.. pretty fantastic AI imo.

I run AI at 95 and Aggression at 70% and it's pretty fun and competitive

The rain part I'm more concerned about AI not being affected by puddles as much as the player. Otherwise they seem very good.

Most of the time you can almost immediately tell how someone's review of PC2 will go based on how critically they reviewed the first game and the games they glowingly review. Basically it becomes a Project CARS vs Game X and I love Game X so Project CARS sucks. Be it Assetto Corsa or iRacing or whatever game. You get the point. There are no unbiased reviewers.

Broadbent disliked Project CARS, so he is going to be hyper-critical of Project CARS 2. Due to his bias, intentional or not, he negates his own review.

Honestly if I was you I would just forget this game exists and don't buy it. You seemed determined not to like it so why waste your time talking about it. We are lucky that these days there are plenty of racing games available. I'm sure you'll find one you like.
