Any game is going to have negative reviews to go along with the positive ones, that's a given. For anyone on the fence about Project CARS 2 just look at this fabulous thread created by @Animera and compare how many positive reviews there are to negative ones.

Looking at what one review says about a feature compared to another review can help weed out the extremely biased reviews as well.

Honestly if I was you I would just forget this game exists and don't buy it. You seemed determined not to like it so why waste your time talking about it. We are lucky that these days there are plenty of racing games available. I'm sure you'll find one you like.
As i pointed out to you when you got on your high horse before, i have already purchased the game. Maybe stop acting like a devoted fanboy & accept people have concerns even if you do not.

And I have pointed out in general and maybe not directly to you, but it's the way you go about your concerns. Even I'm admittedly really bad at social skills but I can figure that much out.

lol, you crack me up time after time. I’m not devoted to anything as I’ve shown many times. And clearly people have concerns after the first game. However, please base your opinions on facts. You claimed ‘at the end of the day its not been improved in pcars 2’ based on the opinion of one person when many others are saying the opposite. You seem to focus on the negative opinions of the few rather than the positive opinions of the many. Always looking for the negative angle, seeming to want to prove the game is not good.

I guarantee the game will not be good for you because you appear to want it to be bad.

There is nothing wrong with how i have gone about my concerns, i have not been rude or aggressive. If it causes you cognitive discourse to hear i have concerns & didn't rate the first game i can't really help you. It's funny how its perfectly fine to criticize the guy previewing but god forbid being anything but overwhelmingly positively bias towards the game.

They haven't improved it because i asked if they had at the very start in the Q&A, essentially it's the same system under the new gui the text ini is the same as far as im aware. This is why I was concerned since hearing that. So yet again you have got it wrong what i'm basing my opinion on, this video heightens this concern. Again as i've said before I want the game to be good but no doubt you will yet again dismiss this to justify your behaviour.
You accuse me of not basing opinion on fact yet you are doing exactly that.

There was nothing wrong with the old system if you took the time to set it up correctly. It took effort and was time consuming. Hence people having complaints about it. It’s far easier to set up this time around, so it has been improved where it was needed to be improved contrary to your assertions. So yes i’m Dealing with the facts whereas you seem to be dealing with opinion and representing them as facts such as ‘it’s not been improved’.

Just spent the past 40 mins playing the game. Using a Fanatec CSW V2 with Fanatec Clubsport V3 Pedals and the raw ffb setting in game, everything else stock. I ran the car track combo that he ran and just can't agree with him. FFB was very communicative, can feel understeer and loss of grip at the rear. Certainly I'm reacting before my visual system is telling me to. Then did a few laps around Bathurst in the GT-86 GT4. Bathurst is a great track for testing out the ffb. Lots of undulation changes causing the wheel to go light over crests.

It's all there it feels good on my CSW v2. In the controls menu there is a option for fanatec and thrustmaster wheels with profiles for different model wheels for each manufacturer. I don't know if the wheel he is using is causing the issue but I'm not experiencing them.

Sigh...I spent about 300 hours setting up the godam FFb it became an obsession. Read the lovely mega page ffb thread in the pcars forum, i'm in there. Now can you understand my concern? It was only really when i got into other sims i realised that i could never get it feeling as good as those. Nothing will make me happier than if i play pcars 2 & the ffb is awesome.

The impression have been a little strange. There have been a couple other repeatable reviewer's feeling the lack of force feedback. Which just seemed odd with other repeatable sources claiming something closer to Rfactor and AC. Don't think this Vic was posted but it seems to clarify some of the confusion. Maybe?

Sidenote: People on this forum need to relax and be able to have a discussion.

Some of us can. Some of us can't. Some of us vary by topic. :P

I'll go with your impressions over Jimmy Broadbents simply because you are playing a later build. TBH I haven't watched his review because it is on an outdated build according to an earlier post here. Thanks for your impressions and taking the time to make a direct comparison with what JB was reviewing.

Yes thank you. It has been stated multiple times some cars are much further along with their final setups. If only the reviewers knew which cars were further along.

We had a bug affecting two wheels on that build also.

Anyway, I'm fine with the odd negative preview as we're so far beyond what they are playing now I'm confident the final reviews from the shipped and 'day one patched' game will blow them away. That's not empty marketing hype either, we really are immensely proud of how we've progressed in the burst to gold.

some people seem to be more on a hunt for flaws than actually enjoying it. Like it satisfies them more to have something to complain and worry about.

This. so. much.

Anyway, I defended him a bit - like it or not/right or wrong the guy has a large following. He's dubbed a "hardcore" sim racer with all the iR/rF content and people take his opinion as sim racing gospel. Double edge sword with the next comment. The press build given out was bad and WMD guys have been all over the internet making this fact known. In turn get called names and fanboys or whatever. But in reality, it was a crap build that was given out to the press and has been cringe worthy watching a few of these YT personalities give "first impressions". Plain old frustrating TBH.

The videos do the sim little justice. So much in this racer its going to take a while to soak it all in. There will be teething moments and new things to learn but thats a good thing. Many misconceptions/old habits that drivers will need to unlearn from older titles as we advance with better and more accurate models. Really do believe it will speak for itself come release - wow its getting close 👍.

I appreciate this about this release but can't ian fix that by sending out a better copy?

Concerns me tbh. I don't rate the ffb in pcas one at all & at the end of the day its not been improved in pcars 2 so i was worried it would be like this. ai looks pretty ropey in the video as well.
The FFB on the original is excellent, once you get through all the messing about to set it up.

That's something you shouldn't have to do at all, but if you do it becomes quite a different experience.

I can't wait! My countdown time to PCars2 release reads 33 days 2 hours 23 mins!

Well, but I think that this was Broadbent's absolute best point - why would anyone DO that? Why would you give out a build knowing that it was crap and not representative of the final product? And why not rectify it afterwards, giving out a better build now?

I mean, it's really a pattern at the moment. GTPlanet gets out a review that is anything but positive - well, it appears there was something wrong with the setup of the build. Then, some YouTubers have complaints about physics and especially FFB - suddenly, the build is complete crap and not representative and whatnot.
Now, what @IanBell & Bandai Namco could do if they are in any way interested in good PR is sending the newest build out, which they all seem to agree is awesome. But for some reason, this doesn't happen, instead, anyone is simply told that the current press build isn't representative.
Am I the only one that sees what might be fishy there? I'm not saying there IS something strange going on, just that it SEEMS like there is.

Is there a defined profile now for the CSM v2.5, or will I still just have to use the v2 settings? With the internal.upgrades that the v2.5 has over the v2 I would expect to see it's own profile. I hope......
