Immersive FFB sounds best to me. Original game already had a strong resistance but lacked some "feeling", so sounds like a perfect one to start with. Which one is the default setting for Thrustmaster TX?
My thoughts exactly.Immersive FFB sounds best to me. Original game already had a strong resistance but lacked some "feeling", so sounds like a perfect one to start with.
At turn 18? He barley touched it from my perspective. In pCars 1 if you hit that curb it throws you to the right. I don't expect that to be any different in pCars 2.At 9:20 He enters this high-speed corner very aggressively and passes through the curb,I would find it strange if the car remained stable.
Ditto. I just purchased my first wheel (T300RS) and have already spent hours combing the internet, testing various FFB settings for pCARS1. Thinking to myself: how do I adjust FFB settings in pCARS1 to get a similar Immersive flavor? Thank you, FuriousDemon! I'm glad to know I'm not going insane.Immersive FFB sounds best to me. Everything looks miles better in terms of AI behavior as in not smashing you off the track at every corner. but I'm still wondering about when they come to almost a standstill at times. Not really watching these press release videos for now as they are out of date already.
No offense, I know what you mean, but that sentence was gold. xDbut when they're good they're great
We had a 'side by side reticence to move' AI bug in the press build. They all should have been informed of that... Anyway, it's fixed now of course as seen in later build videos. Try Bettesjuice. Note, I'm not saying our AI are perfect but when they're good they're great and we're still polishing.
And when they're great, they're Kelloggs. (Grrrrreat)No offense, I know what you mean, but that sentence was gold. xD
It also shows his complete lack of understanding of vehicle dynamics as he comments "I didn't expect that there as this car has so much downforce". Well, it has NO downforce when you bounce off a high curb and separate the floor from the road. At that point, your diffuser is no longer able to do it's job.
Re: Empty Box
To be fair, he did not provide a review/preview of PC2. It was simply an opinion video. Based on logical reasoning - past behavior is an indicator of future behavior. Those shortcomings in recent SMS games have also been echoed by others.
He did acknowledge the parts of PC2 that are impressive - car list, track list, features. What he doesn't know and is concerned about is how the game will play. Right now, I can only hope that SMS have improved the shortcomings of PC1. I've seen some videos that give me excitement that some areas have been improved. I would love to see a video showing the menu/settings for gamepad and wheel.
I thought D1P was a fancy wheel name until I got to the last line of your post.OooAhh, I have been working on testing the FFB system on the T150(2x wheels), T300, CSR, and GT3 RS V2. I have settings in my signature link at the WMD 2 forums. But, due to the build releases. I have got over a month behind on the others testing the T150 RS. The latest test build for the other wheels was 774. So, that also give you an idea of the press release build.
The settings are generally the same for everything, but Immersive. I might end up with Immersive or Raw for the T150(I have found very good settings for this wheel). In the coming days, I will have time to get back to testing and hope the results will be very close to the D1P. So, that I can provide some D1 FFB settings based with Gain at 50 or 100(depending on wheel/flavour). We know, the default tested was Raw 100/50/50/50. But, this setup is not used for every wheel. Volume and FX are the main 2 for everything, but Immersive. The FFB Flavour of Immersive is Gain and FX atm.
As far as tone, I have moved it from 50 down to 43 and then I eventually back put it back to the default 50. It works well at default.
(ozwheels), I know Bealdors response about the Flavours. But, I cannot use the same settings with the T150 RS on Immersive at 100 FFB. It is too much for the wheel and would give you the feeling of a thread here in the PCARS 1 forum, Thrustmaster T150 like driving through molasses. Gain and Volume are at 50 atm. Just remember the information here is to be taken as it is still a WIP and it could change by D1.
Another detail I missed last night:If your talking about his run through Blanchimont, then the car DID get unsettled. This was in fact a perfect example of how pCARS2 has improved over pCARS1 as he was able to save it and continue on. In pCARS1 you would have ended up in the wall.

Right tires are in the grass which should reduce their grip for the next left corner.
Short pass through the grass(he makes a small correction with the wheel after going through the grass before to)+ turn in too aggressive+passes through the curb.If you are implying that the brief touch in the grass should have caused a spin, I also disagree. While I couldn't find anything in that specific courner, there are PLENTY of real world examples of drivers clipping grass/dirt and not spinning out as a result. I won't rehas that discussion, because it has been beaten to death both here and on pCARS forum.
If you expect me to say it should oversteer you are very wrong. The car will ovesteer if the rear right tyre explode.I will however leave you with this video to contemplate.... What do you suppose will happen to a protoype car at speed that has a rigth front tire explode in the middle of Blanchimont? Watch and find out.

Hopefully everything will be easy to understand in release version. I don't want to learn about FFB settings in a thread that reads more like computer science than playing a video game.OooAhh, I have been working on testing the FFB system on the T150(2x wheels), T300, CSR, and GT3 RS V2. Is there any way to get a VR recording to use the right eye so the captured video is more centered in the car?

And THAT is as it should be.Probably the best preview outside of wmd so far. I respect GM, although somewhat AC bias he doesn't seem to be anywhere near fanboy territory & will not say something is good/bad just to drum up YT hits.
