Poor producer. He just wants to go home and they made him play this damn game...

Yup, not the most inspiring bit of presentation, from the game crashing (on console), poor car control with a controller to horrible body language by the poor chap "forced" to play the game I would have asked that this not be posted were I SMS. :odd:

What has it got to do with SMS? Its a Gamescom video. It was painful to watch, more because those guys were really clueless but they are a chunk of the market & its a good thing if it brings the more casual player in to simulations.

I was also in doubt to post this yes/no. Does it add anything? But why not? In my opinion this is indeed not the best PR video we've seen. But because Gamescom is now and these two 'guys' are SMS. Well at least Stephen is SMS and one Mr Bandai Namco.
I thought it was a good idea to share as it is spot on recent 'news'. And something different then all the great work in progress vids we've enjoyed so far.

PS my source for this interview was Pcars forum: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?50014-PCARS2-in-the-media/page33

I think the Bandai Namco producer/driver got his media training from Ivan Lendl :dopey:
We all have off days and with month to go before release, it must be a stressful period.

Looking forward to more Gamescom videos.

He said Long Beach is one of if not the only circuit in PC2 to actually be laser scanned AND drone scanned. What's the actual facts behind this?

I really hope the Long Beach hairpin doesn't become one of those spots like the final chicane at the Monza short track, where no matter what level the AI is at there is always a high chance of full stops. I really want to test this at all different levels of aggression. I think it's more that than a skill based problem.

Doesnt matter how good the AI are, that last hair pin at Long beach always gets blocked in real life in many IMSA races in the past lol

Hi @BeetesJuice, great video. I noticed you were 4-5mph down on what was recorded in 2016 for the IMSA race. Do you think there is that much mph to find with the setup or is that difference reflecting the SMS BoP? I know the Fords were significantly faster in 2016 regarding top speed, so I understand if SMS tones them down.

Think 4-5 mph can be down to setup type stuff - I bumped the DF up as a quick setup change. Overall the GT classes are balanced as hell and each show individual characteristics. 488 had to lift briefly at the top of the hill while myself and the Vette could punch it. In overall testing WMD guys are running within a second in almost all cars depending on their driving style.

FWIW, entire GTE field was running low 43's- mid/low 42's in open air. This was a 35 lap race I did last night - late in the race 41's came up a few times on my end and from a few AI. 112S, 70A
