Can you only share setups with people in your session or is there a database where you can download them from anyone? More importantly are these features available on console? Especially since the PC and console leaderboards were very different in pCars 1.

Loading setups is a blessing to make time trials more about racing and less about testing setups.

Doing the AMG Challenge in RaceRoom and it´s annoying as hell to keep testing and changing everything for hours until you find a comfortable and fast setup.

With so little time available in our adult lives, this is a must on every racing game.

I get that tuning is skill and stuff, but meet me halfway, since we accept ghost cars there´s nothing wrong with open setups.

Dont know how it works on consoles, but on PC every setup of a car-track combination is stored in a file in the setups folder.
The filename of that files is a little bit coded, but if you know what file you saved last, then you also know car-track for that file.
That is a little hand work. But you can take that file, put it on a forum, and everybody could downlod it and put it in his own setups folder.
So free, public sharing of setups is no problem. No screenshots needed anymore

You definitely can't see files on console. :guilty:

I hadn't thought about it previously, but I assumed while watching that the FX would be quicker round Spa-Francorchamps than a 2017 F1 car. There are plenty of variables I know but was surprised to see it about 5s off Hamilton's pole time.

Sounds nice though.

The current F1 cars are something special aren't they. And to think they'll be even faster next year if Pirelli gets on top of their tires that all the drivers say are rock hard.

The 2017 F1 cars are astonishing machines. There are fundamentally nice looking cars there too but they are ruined by the fins and hideous mini-wings. They would look pretty cool in 2018 were it not for the Halo.

I think there will certainly be adjustments to the compounds after having seen their performance over a substantial period.

Changed the gears up a bit from some advice over on WMD + YT comments - 1.45.8 around there after some laps in TT mode for me.

My idea of the FX is less DF and more emphasis on driver skill and what not. The thing is fast as hell top speed + KERS (340+kph down Kemmel) but is very hard to get the power down out of corners. Will be interesting to see this in a hot lap competition and what others can do with hundreds of laps put it. FA in pcars1 I think was a bit to fast - I had a P3 in the Logitech Champ with a 1.42.3 with two SDL guys in the 41's around Spa. Think the FX can get close but I don't know if it will get into that range of times - never say never though haha. KERS deployment is a nice little mini game and when to use it during the lap.

Anyone have a replay of V8 Supercars? Any track for or two laps would be appreciated. I'd like to see he attitude of the suspension.

Nice video, one of the better ones that I have seen and I do not even really like that track or drivers view in shared replays. Anyone know what system this might of been (pc,xbox, ps4) etc.? The Godzilla video....

I saw that earlier today. I'm liking Snetterton the more I look at it. I could never find a good rhythm in sector 3.

What's the actual story behind that tree that is shaped like a man?

It's not project cars footage, but it shows a fairly good representation of a rear drive car on slicks in heavy(ish) rain. If you just want to peek, at about the 7:00 mark there is some pretty good footage.

This makes me wonder, can we see a snow race that isn't using the studded tires? I kind of want to see a road car on normal rubber to see how much of a handful it would be.

It appears to be a natural growth....

"Snetterton's Scary Tree has overseen competitive events at the Norfolk circuit since its inception over 60 years ago. Before then it survived World War II when the site was used as a USAF base. The centuries-old tree's distinctive sihouette has since inspired its adoptive name."

And here is the link to the full article the above quote came from:

It seems this tree is to Snetterton what the Oak Tree was/is to VIR.
