Anyone able to do the „8sec slipstream and then overtake your opponent“ challenge in road d in Barcelona? I followed a car the whole straight, passed it and took the next corner clean, didn’t get it...
Same race has a 30 second total slipstream requirement, that was done after about 35 seconds

I really like the breakout events there different and fun.

speaking of which anyone get to 3,000 points in the monza one my best is 2970

Since you guys are all playing it, I decided to get it to. Damn you all! You were all saying that you’re not going to get it and look at you now!

Downloading now on the base PS4. Hopefully it’s not that bad graphically. I sit kind of farther from TV, so usually that make graphics seem better than if I’m up close.

All of the advertising in Dirt Rally 2.0 has been replaced by Project CARS 3 which I find hilarious

I haven't really catched up with all the topics here but I found some DLC information.

With their emphasis on Legends, Style, Drift, and Electric, each DLC enjoys 3 new cars (and their race conversion kits) licensed from the world’s most elite brands along with unique customisation and career elements including new liveries, decals, characters with outfits and helmets, and a lot more.

Available individually or get them all with the Season Pass to save 15%.

SEASON PASS BONUS PACK
The Bonus Pack features 20 exclusively created liveries for the Honda Civic Type R, Jaguar F Type SVR, 2020 Acura NSX, Corvette Stingray, Mercedes AMG GTR, Radical RXC Turbo, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Racing, Alpine A110 GT4, Aston Martin Vulcan Pro, and Koenigsegg Jesko.

Available only for Project CARS 3 Season Pass owners.

Welp, I made the stupid mistake of starting with the 86, who would have thought a car known for it's lack of power in real life would be slow in a video game?

Oh well, I had enough credits to buy the Evo, so now I don't have to struggle as much. At least the 86 is fun to race against other 86's.

I was wondering if they were going to release a road map, still a little too vague for me to justify buying the pass but 3/4 packs sound like they have potential and if the drift focused pack includes the stock road versions it could be decent as well (perhaps an MX-5/Radbull?).

I played only a small bits of it, but it's been an enjoyable ride so far. I can definitely see and understand why the fans of the previous two games are feeling disappointed or even betrayed, but I think PCars 3 is far from a complete trainwreck of a game that they seem to think it is. It's a solid racer with intuitive handling and playability, just buried under all the controversies.

To be clear, I wouldn't want PCars to continue down in this direction, for the sake of fans of previous games. But, for the time being, I'm happy that PCars 3 is a thing. It's just fun.

Given that it says they will have race conversations, my take is that all the cars will be 'street' versions that we can then turn into 'race' or 'drift competition' versions.

A pro tip i think :)

When your grinding a event for xp/cash did you know that when your finish with that event you can just restart it and you get to keep all your winnings.

XP
CASH
Career goals

On the last screen after you get your xp/cash and after your car levels up screen don't leave that screen instead press restart and you can do it again and you wont lose your winnings you just got for that event..

So I spent about an hour or so with the game on base PS4 playing with a pad.

Physics: I like it. It definitely has that pCARS feel. It may not be as robust as pCARS2, but definitely good enough for a more arcade direction of the game.
Pad Handling: It's better than pCARS2 for sure. Im not going to say it's perfect, but quite decent. Enjoyable is probably a good term to use here.

Graphics: Ok, I have to admit, people were right. It looks really bad. Feels like I'm playing with low resolution (like 720p or below) and no AA. Also the LODs on vehicles seems worse than in previous games. Unfortunately framerate is not any better than pCARS 2, so all the graphical downgrades don't make up with it in framerate. I really hope they work on this aspect as I think it's the biggest negative about the game for me.

Game Modes: Fun! I played a few career races and did Rivals (you don't need PS+ for that!). Career structure is pretty much similar to a Forza one. It's ok, will have some fun with it. Definitely like Rivals, it's quite fun and the limited number of attempts makes it quite nerve racking. I guess next time I'll pay more attention to that. I thought at first game had a bug cause I couldn't start the race :) Wish it would tell you in the race how many attempts you have remaining.

AI: AI is not as bad as I thought, if you try to race it more like humans and avoid contact. It's not perfect, but better that I was thinking it will be.

Sound: Solid, I'm not very picky in this department, so while it sounds good enough to me others may disagree.

Other: I wish I could disable helmet in helmet cam.

Overall: I knew what I was getting into. I think I'll have some fun with the game. Please improve graphics, SMS!

Wasn't able to get to my game until 1 hour ago at 9 p.m. for the last hour I've done just 2 multi-class races in custom. My favorite was a 15 lap race at Jerez

I'm in love with the Mitsubishi lancer Evo IX racing. It is the 4th car I've tried so far in this game. I certainly did not do it proud with my finishing position but both of my races were incredibly fun. I know some have called it boring, but I can't find anything boring about what I just went through over the last hour

On a side note: you cannot go into Data save management and only delete your career save. I tried that three different times and all three times I booted up the game my career was still in progress. my guess is that it's tied to my profile which I don't want to delete because then I'll lose the XP that I've already gained.

yes, I want pit stops. Yes, I want the strategy of having to change tires and deciding if you're going to drive a little slower to conserve fuel and things like that. That aside, this game is all kinds of FUN

I own Project Cars 2 and ACC on my PS4 pro and I own Forza Motorsport 7 on my Xbox ONE X. Yet, here I am only wanting to play this game. I admit it may just be the newness of it, but I am loving the handling.

Not sure. Why do you want to delete you career?

He picked the GT86 to start, which is the straight up worst option of the three. Evo is best, Type-R second (god awful looking car), GT86 last. So he's looking to restart again. He posted about it a few pages back.

You'll loose all the credits. Delete all the files in the project cars 3 save file.

I skipped the tutorial and it defaulted my main car to an '86 as well. I had no credits to sacrifice though.

Completed Road E, but I am missing one achievement, the Pace Setter at Sakitto.
I can barely run at 1:31 average, any ideas how to keep the 1:30 average?

Anyhow, in some races the graphical quality is really (and I mean really really REALLY) bad.

Just done the night race at Texas Speedway, part of the final championship of Road E, and was the festival of low frame rate, poor reflections and jaggies. Jaggies, jaggies, jaggies everywhere.
I honestly don't remember a racing game in the last three years so poor visually.

Video of it.

Looks like they mixed up the wiring between the DRL's and the headlights...

Having driven a GT86 in real life, they are severely underpowered.

Played for about 5 hours yesterday and yeah, it’s a lot of fun. The livery editor is simple but effective, Rivals is pretty good too although it would be better if you could see your friends times too ( like Driveclub), had a dabble in multiplayer with a 3 lap race around the Nurburgring ( 7th place) and found the handling to be pretty good once I’d played around with my G29 settings, a few bugs floating around though, like my livery disappearing and having to go back into my garage to load it again...biggest let down though is the graphics, PS4 Pro and 50 inch 4K HDR tv and quite frankly, it don’t look good at all whether in frame rate or resolution priority, will be hoping for a patch to do something about them but won’t hold my breath, firing up Dirt 2.0 later and the difference was quite staggering, but as long it doesn’t affect the gameplay then I can live with it...it’s a fun game as long as you don’t go in to it with lofty expectations 👍

Turbo it. Makes it so much better.

So we could see it as 6 cars per pack potentially.

Here are some initial thoughts on the game after 7 hours of playing.

I'll start with the main flaw of the game for me and weirdly it is controls on the gamepad. Driving a fast, powerful car should be a battle, some kind of struggle to keep it on the track while at the same time trying to squeeze the best out of it. Here not many cars have that feeling, and the ones that do still feel rather safe to drive. Of course I didn't try out every car in the game yet but I tested different classes and the results are mostly the same.

For any point of reference for anyone thinking about getting the game - in my opinion GTS allows much more precision and accuracy in terms of where you want your car to be. And in Driveclub cars were more distinct and hard to drive, but I'll double check on that today - maybe I'm forgetting things. EDIT: just tested a few of car classes in Driveclub and I definitely forgot the way it felt. Even with Hypercars you can push the throttle all the way most of the times.

In terms of graphics on PS4 Pro this is the weirdest game I've seen. Most of the times the image is quite nice and enjoyable, but in some conditions game looks awful. Never seen a game with such a huge difference between its best and its worst looks.

Still, after getting used to the controls I think the game can be fun. I really enjoy rivals mode, especially pace setters where you need to be really patient. I really hope there will be more people participating, but something tells me that the current humble number of participants will only get worse.

I also love all the choices of provided race cars liveries and that there are some even for road cars. All customisable options are also great.

Two questions.
1. Ferrari 288 GTO. What's up with this car's sounds? Every time I push the throttle it starts to whistle. Is it some kind of engine peculiarity, or a bug?

2. Am I blind or there is no way to check friends' times in rivals leaderboards?
