So i just ran into this little info.

Steam numbers right now show 600 something for pc 3 1100 something for PC 2.
20 players max playing custom lobbies spread out over 6 lobbies

Not sure if that second one is for console or steam.

Is the game dead not even a week since release?

That wouldn't go well for updates :(

So, had my first impressions, and couldn't even call it like that. There was nothing impressive yet. First, what strikes hard, is the game looks very ugly, even after not so bright and shiny Project Cars 2, this one looks like prequel to the series from PS3. Plus a lot of screens that could be placed all at once, but no, have to push x 10x times for literally everything. Physics are typical NFS before drift to turn era, say with all bravery - same as NFS Heat, that is a good thing, but no one will ever convince me then that NFS not a sim, I love NFS:).

Despite all what I read, GT86 is a decent car, wanted some hardcore challenge and tight tuning choices, but found all I need in few minutes and on PRO it is faster than AI on good 7 seconds in 1 lap race at Brnchbre.

To add, saw a tweet about d'nb music and such, but nothing hit me, like for example NFS could, before mentioned before era, 'course.

Still going to dig deeper and get an easy platinum and some brainless racing experience. Will be honest, at first, as I raced at Brnchbre in Project Cars 2 just recently, I was slightly shocked, how mad now able to drive in Project Cars, and damn even with drift every corner and breaking like a mad man, without abs, everything was so smooth. Game really made me miss Prostreet, plus had that disk in my hands today, but too lazy to take out PS3, so be it Project Cars 3, poor man NFS, which he deserves, as I am.

Thinking of putting the game now myself until they sort things out. 2 crashes back to back at the end of 20 lap races is more than enough for me. :indiff:

That's a lot of time wasted. I can understand why that would be frustrating.

I'm on a PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X and I've never had a crash.

Are the crashes strictly confined to the PC version? Or, is it possible they only happen after longer races? My longest race has only been15 laps, I believe

PS Pro here, game routinely won’t start properly. Hangs on the opening screen, then I have to close the application and try again. Happens almost every time I open the game.

Had the sound go off during a race yesterday. Forget the precise situation, but I think it was Sakitto. One of the career races. Maybe E or D. Had to restart the game but not before the I received a good eardrum piercing jolt upon closing the game.

The game is fun, but I get the vibe it’s ready to fall apart at the seams at any moment. Like it’s been put together with bubble gum and twigs.

Stability. Please.

No its happen to me 2 times now first it crashed and the second time it froze ps4 pro here.

Something I need to test: is a road car with a PIR of 500 just as fast as a race car with PIR of R500? I have a feeling they’re close.

Could make for something interesting Club/League ideas.

I've mostly been playing on the Xbox One X, and playing a lot, with no issues. Does this mean that this is more of a PS4 pro issue? I only played for the first couple of days on the PS4 until I got it for the Xbox.

Your races are extremely long so when you have problems is it during those long races or if you ever had a freeze / crash in a shorter race?

Question:

Is it possible to have a lobby where maybe only one or two other players join you and then you can fill out the field with the AI?

I don't believe you can have any AI fill in, in custom lobbies.

I'm on ps4 pro and have had no issues

It’s not at all the same. In pcars3 just slam the car into the corner, Ride over the curbs as much as you want and give it full beans on the exit, again hammering over the curbs. The car doesn’t care it all, there is never the danger of losing it. Try that in acc, no way of getting a good clean corner that way. Try the the rivals event in Laguna Seca, difference in driving is very obvious. You can also brake much much later and just stay full on the brakes while turning, the car doesn’t care. Again, do that in acc and it will hurt your time (and tires) badly.

don’t get me wrong, I also like the driving in pcars, it’s just plain and simple. But to compare it to acc? No way..

i finished all rivals events in upper gold or Platin and never even was in danger to lose a car. In fact, i didn’t even manage to spin a car once during my 8-10h of game time (except for the left/right combo at snetterton after the back straight, but that is just a horrible corner )

This is not right, I've tested again.
"Try the the rivals event in Laguna Seca, difference in driving is very obvious. You can also brake much much later and just stay full on the brakes while turning, the car doesn’t care. "
With ABS ON or ABS OFF you can't stay full on the brakes while turning in the same way than not full braking, the car can't handle the turn as with degressive braking.

With ABS OFF the understeer is very big braking full and turning as you say.
I recommend driving with ABS OFF, because ABS ON is too much assisted in PCARS3 (but still you can't do this : "just stay full on the brakes while turning, the car doesn’t care.")

This may sound crazy, but yesterday I put my Xbox One X on 1080p/120Hz mode ithrough my 1440p, 144Hz panel and graphically the game has been more fluid, with less jaggies and screen tearing in prioritise resolution mode. I’m currently running Road C events.

So I went here and I found this:

"The Project CARS 3 Season Pass features four packs crammed with fresh content and customization options for cars and drivers. Each pack includes a themed set of cars and their race conversion kits that explore four distinct and unique styles—beginning with Japanese icons that feature in Pack 1, the Legends Pack."

If correct, we now know what the first pack will be.

Had a quick go tonight luckily at a mates he's bought it, I'm glad I didn't its awful , I can do fun like Forza Horizon no problem but it feels like it doesn't know what it is. Hopefully this is some kind of weird joke and if there is a PC4 or a successor to PC2 its back to the awesomeness we expect.
I'm sorry but its diabolical.

Is there anything in this game working like it should? I don't trust it anymore.

I want to love this game but...

Almost always use the cockpit view in everything I play, but for some reason the bumper cam is really starting to grown on me in PC3. Starting to think the game looks and possibly runs better without the cockpit.

Only issue with (all) bumper cam(s) is driving behind traffic. Can’t see a freaking thing....

Just to reiterate on the graphical issues (particularly low resolution, jaggies and pixelation) on Xbox One X, there is an interesting dedicated thread on PC3 official forum, with in-game screenshots showing some of these issue quite clearly.

And these are not the worst example.

Which thread could you post the link.
