If people didn't buy it or try it, how can it be blamed on the game?
There's a reason why they don't buy it... Reviews are the major culprit here.

So all the reviews that came out didn't even buy or play the game? I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say. Either way, no they aren't, no matter how hard you want to pretend.

Or it could be the part where they listened to Ian Bell, that was kind of, just maybe, a little misleading?

Damn all it takes is one bad review for a game to sell terribly? Makes one wonder how any game has ever sold more than a handful of copies, ever.

One?

I'll put it in simple terms: reviewers play the game (for about 5 min) - reviewers give bad score - people don't buy.

So those people can not blame the game because they followed the reviewers and didn't actually play it.
Now back to my initial point: the game is on discount and many think "let's give it a shot" and are pleasantly surprised... So again: not the game but the reviews.

Which ones did that? You seem pretty certain that this is absolutely what happened. I mean, anything's that's true has proof so that should be easy to back up.

What people are you talking about?

Yeah, no - It's just as much the game. I buy games I had initial bad thoughts about when they hit the bargain bin quiet often. It's how I purchased most of the NFS games of late that have massive glaring issues. Even if I did find things I liked, they're still quite bad games. Sure was pleasantly surprised, still wouldn't have wasted my money for full price on something as bad though, not by a long shot. Price points just makes it easier to accept such glaring issues, for most things.

Do you mind not acting condescending?
I'll take that as a no. If you're not willing to actually participate then I recommend you see yourself out. If you don't want the obvious stated than I don't know what to tell you.

See myself out?
Not participate?

Good one...
If you consider a post that consist of absolutely no context what so ever, no response to the actual post, and are doing absolutely nothing to expand that conversation or viewpoint, as participating than yeah, it's fitting. Ironically, you're still not participating at all, just posting nonsense now. So yeah, must have been a really good one.

I've been doing nothing but what you just accused me of not doing, but as soon as i try to get into something, someone else shows up and starts badgering me about something completely different.
My initial comment was about GTsimms having experience with street tyres and somehow it evolved into the advertising campaign and what not...

I went off what you posted, then what you continued to post afterwards. You just kept beating around the bush and actively avoided the actual convo. It's an open forum, people are going to talk about all kinds of things - you aren't so new that it would be something odd to you.

Well if someone is talking about something that you weren't talking about at all, just don't expand on it. Either way, regardless of that, it just so happened that what you replied to that off-topic post with just isn't exactly a true statement. I'll drop it there.

It was quite obvious, firstly comparing it to the first two games
Why would people not compare it to the first two games? The title of the game itself leads to that, as does the fact the website literally list all three title in a column, and if I can quote the very first develpers blog (again from the website)...

"Project CARS 3 remains, at its core, a Project CARS experience"

...
it seems that the marketing behind the title makes the link as well.

allthough it was announced as a spiritual successor to Shift was the wrong approach to start with.
Please remind us when and how many times Ian Bell stated this, and where I can find that information in the current marketing for the title.

Once a reviewer started like that, you could make sure the rest of it was going to be bad...
That's a flawed assumption, just as your claim that reviewers who rated it low only spent 5 mins with it.

So a police officer in the US doing hot chases is not aware of how tyres react in real life?

He's a 🤬🤬, after 15 years. So, sitting on the road with cold tires and going 2-3 times highway speed to catch a speeding vehicle. It's magic tires.

Only that low number in rivals? WoW I can Finally end up in top 200, instead of 2000

I did buy the base game for 35 euro. An additional 35 for the season pas. SMS, make it count please.

There hasn't been this much action over here since around the time the game got released!

I knew that when I posted my positive experience with pc3, several people would disagree.
It's very odd this game that with any positive experiences you expect a number of members saying you're wrong. Seems like they are obsessed, a vendetta at times. Stop enjoying it! And some of them haven't even got the game - which is even stranger. Perhaps there's Ian and Nathan's personalities that can be abrasive to some but letting that transfer into the forums and the game is... well odd again.

Some seem to be obsessed with Steam figures but on the platform I use, the PS4, a quick check showed that 931 people participated in yesterday's daily Rivals, 1837 in the most recent weekly and 2460 in the monthly. I haven't got a fancy graph, sorry.

("I do miss the abs") So do I, but pizza is so good.
You had me fancying a pizza for a while!

Is it really that striking that people will post their opinion on something they disagree/agree with? Sure some are more heated than others, and some can be outright asinine, but this is exactly what this board is set up to accomplish. You post your opinion, others post there's, and then talk about it. This is really a two way street, it's not only one side doing what you're saying. To pretend as such is to ignore what is actually going on.

Yeah, it's extremely likely that people will post about games on the platform they actually play on.

Yeah, it's extremely likely that people will post about games on the platform they actually play on.

That's all good...if they actually own the game.
Lot's of opinions come from people who haven't even tried it (and i'm not necessarily talking about people over here)
Bashing about the game not having pitstops and so one, that's ok,but don't call it trash based solely upon that... (again, not talking about GTP specifically)

You post your opinion, others post there's, and then talk about it. This is really a two way street,
Talking/discussion is absolutely fine as long as it remains cordial. The trouble is it often turns into a one way street that leads to a cul-de-sac.

You'd think so wouldn't you.

You never even answered my question about the wheel. But, I am not at home to get the information.
And the point about the wheel? I have a t500rs and a pad how's about that? Good enough? Or not up to your elite standards

You still haven't answered the question about your experience with the cars that have counterparts in the game, I don't recall a ford Fusion police car in PC3

It really never is, and never will be a one way street - Way more often than not it's one side ignoring that they're participating in something just as much as the other. There are the same kinds of people on both sides of the fence. Both sides do the things you're mentioning. A game with many negative connotations will just seem that more people talk about the negative than the positive, but either way, there's absolutely not a single problem with that happening, as long as, like you mention, people keep a level head.

You'd think so wouldn't you.
It's actually extremely obvious to the point of not needing to frame it out in such a way. They aren't "obsessed" with steam, they're addressing the system they're playing on, much like you did. Does that make you "obsessed?" No, I wouldn't think so.

That's all good...if they actually own the game.

Yeah, and those people's opinions are usually valueless, if that's solely what's going on. Which more often than not doesn't seem to be the case except for a handful of outliers. However, if you're conflating them with actual reviews as to why the game sold bad, than again, that's not exactly going to hold any ground.

You don't need to own the game to talk about every single aspect of the game, that part is inherently wrong. Sure you can't judge things like physics and what not, but you can certainly address features and lack there of.
