Nissan has been rumoured for a while now (see OP), that Bandai dude doesnt exactly seem to be up on things, though. SMS has not announced any other partnership than Aston recently, so take what he says with about a truckload of salt.
My assumption is that SMS have infact made a partnership with Nissan but, since things aren't finalized yet, they haven't announced officially to the community. It seems a little wierd that the guy would say the exact same thing in many interviews if it wasn't true.

Under 1000 kgs, 350 HP, skinny bias ply tires...oh boy!!!:eek::eek::eek::):):):)

I think we need a black and white mode!!

Didnt test drive ferrari legends have something like that? Also, if SMS could get the ferrari license in that game, why not PCARS?
I have faith they are doing the best they can with their limited resources. I'd guess the Ferrari license would be one of the more expensive and restrictive and at this point, probably not worth putting such a big dent in the budget. The tradeoff could be 2 or 3 to 1 or more and I don't want to trade off 9 cars for example to get 3 Ferraris if that's the case.

show me Lambo's contribution to the technology and progression of sport.
Although you make a fair point that they don't have many contributions to racing, and this is a racing game, some people think it's common sense for a racing game to include one of the car industry's most iconic bedroom-poster supercars, just because almost every petrolhead has dreamed of driving one, and what better place to try than in a video game if you can't afford one in real life

Aside from the Impreza JGTC, why else would they be there? What you guys have to understand is, while it would be nice to have the license, there has to be a valid reason for chasing after it.

Just read an interesting post by one of the dev team members denying the possibility of 6-10 of the best Ferrari road and race cars ever being included in Project CARS. :sly:

Considering the specificity of the denial and the fact that he ended it with "will surely never happen" was rather interesting.

The same dev team member posted another "will surely never happen" in response to a wish for Aston Martin. He even included a picture of a pair of Vantage GT4's with it just to make sure.

On the Subaru thing...the ONLY car worth anything is the Imprezza and that's a rally car (yes its fantastic on any surface but its home turf is dirt lol) so save that for a rallycar game. Not everything needs to be included.

And on Ferrari, yes, its slightly dissapointing Ferrari is most likely not going to be included, but you have to remember the license is massively expensive. If it is included great! But if it isn't included that's more than fine.

I'd like to see the 2015 WRX STI or another WRX STI to match the Evo X and 1M Coupe, and the BRZ/GT86 could take the form of both a roadcar and a GT4 car.

There's indeed a lot of teasing like this going on at WMD, and we continue to get surprises... :) There'll be no Ferrari on release though, as others have confirmed, but who knows what might happen down the road if the game sells well, Namco Bandai opens their purse, Ferrari realize they have to be in the game (:P) etc..

Nothing would make me happier than seeing Italian race cars in the game - if we eventually get Alfa Romeo and Ferrari (see my avatar!) I'll be in heaven. But, even without marques like these, it still looks like we'll get the most complete, well rounded and fun racing sim/game to date, with a mouth watering car list in any case. Like Snaeper, I choose to not expect anything more.
