We should be getting one in January and February but I can't seem to find any track that might fit the theme of the pack.

The cars is bits of a mix from what I speculate so far.

Anyway moving on,

Are we getting a track expansion in January???
The Scottish road-circuit, Bannochbrae, is due soon so we may be getting that. It looks beautiful and could be a lot of fun in the likes of the recent Radical RXC Turbo.

Yeah I found the whole Laguna debacle a bit suspicious. I thought "how could it be too hard to find a reference car for that, they should be able to find one in their backyard being that it's a BTCC car". Look at how rare some of the cars PD got their hands on were, and I know they've got much more money, but still, the Laguna would be so much easier than many of the rare cars in GT games.
For sure many of the older BTCC cars are available for referencing, as you can see from this YT video of the "Super Touring Car Championship" that was revived last year and has been going this year too. And as you can see, a Renault Laguna has been taking part the whole time!

On a seperate note, how cool would these cars be in the game? SMS/WMD you have missed out on a big money spinner by not including some of these cars! :(

SmS skipping the need of licensing fees, that's all. Same reason probably why they scrapped already created, historic tracks instead of polishing them from beta to a final release state. Just call them "Belgian Forest" or something if you want to get them into the game cheap, JESUS BLOODY CHRIST :yuck:

I remember the PS2 game "Racing Simulation 3" where Hockenheim ended up beeing the polish Grand Pix... :D

On subject of that Oulton.. I was there on final corner (lodge). I got pics of the front bumper, back, in car and more so yeah accessible data :P

I just watched 2 of those races and it was pure nostalgia. Wonderful stuff. Thanks a million for posting that video as it was like a little Christmas pressie.

Turns out the guy who owns the Laguna BTCC has 2 of them. 2! In the UK. SMS must not have tried to hard to source it. I guess we got 2 cool cars instead of 1 so it's not all bad.

Hopefully it makes it into a BTCC 1990s Pack for PCars2.

You're welcome mate, Merry Xmas! ;)

You're glad you didn't fall into the investment trap of earning a handsome return on your investment?

Fair enough. I'm quite disappointed myself with the way things have turned out, and I'm sure it's much worse for you.

I daresay that people are more concerned about the promised features and content that are not coming, along with a withdrawl of support around the bug and glitch fixes. Also, wasn't 2 years of DLC mentioned somewhere?
I'm sure they said this game was supposed to be like Destiny....

Being offtopic with the last news from the Q&A from Ian Bell... Well,i don't see why be so angry.. He said that they will make more updates.. So,means that his trying still fixing issues and bugs.

About track and cars that finally don't will make their way to the game.. Sure it's disappointing, but the game is not lack off playable content and tracks(it has the biggest track roster in consoles)

Four months more of DLC's means one full year off suport in contents.. So,like most of the other games. And updates in 2016 will be two years of support, like many other games.

I see they learn a lesson with the beta builts of Pcars 2 with not leaking videos of what's included in the testing(cars & tracks)so if in the final release one thing they couldn't put it in for discard or licence issues nobody can acuse them like what's happening now with the first game.

Now, with Pcars they got a good basis to work on for further games like Pcars 2.

I have a lot of fun with Pcars, i buy the game for what was in it already, and that's the best racing simulator on consoles. With a really nice an big Offline career. And for sure that in Pcars 2 it will be better.

I'm Also satisfied that Ian Bell hives explications to the user's with his new tread,i never seen kazonuri yamahuci doing that, and those from Forza Motorsport either..

So,i will keep enjoying Pcars, support their next DLC that for sure will be good and waiting for Pcars 2.

Merry Christmas to all GTplanet members!

Guys- just built a CSWv2 setup and excited to start playing this along with Forza 6... Having a 21:9 screen, I'm really looking to focus on pCars.

Should I purchase any of this DLC? Worth it? Any way to snatch it all up for cheap? It is not discounted in the current steam sale.

Happy Holidays!

They're all the money worth, great cars and tracks been added with the DLC

All together they cost a 31€ less o more.

The good thing about it is if you got a friend who have all the the DLC you can try them if your friend opens a online lobby.

I did that with some friends ho didn't now if to buy or not some DLC and so i helped them taking the decisions.

can we have this instead of mad mikes mazda

Cool Video. Yes it would be sweet BUT it would only make sense if we had environments to drive it in properly. And they are not in PCARS. Forza 6 has the Airfield where you actually do some stuff around poles etc, even that is also still very limited but at least you have some space and some obstacles. A Gymkhana shouldn't be too difficult to do.

But what about Mojave? There's some space there, but then again it's offline only

Yes mate, only sadly they don't show all rounds of this series. This one off live showing from 2014 was live on ITV4, alongside the regular BTCC/Support races. It was great seeing the cars again, and imho they still look better that the current BTCC cars.
I was at Oulton Park when the old super tourers where there last year, I find the new BTCC cars a bit boring but it doesn't stop me going every year watching them haha

Well...almost everything from the last few pages is pretty terrible news. As a long term backer of PCars and big proponent (ran a fifty page thread on another website, essentially keeping everyone up to date as the game was being built etc.) I'm rather miffed I bought into PCars 2 already.

While they made a lot of promises I never expected to show up (active pit crews etc.) the ones that are complete and simply won't be provided are pretty infuriating, particularly as during the run up to the PCars 1 release I've driven on a bunch of the tracks that now magically won't work with PCars?

Suffice to say I'll continue to play PCars because there isn't a good quality alternative available (with the tracks/cars/scope at the moment) but I'll be more than a little skeptical about SMS stuff going forward. This will all come as rather bad news for my racing group.

I also think it's terribly stupid idea. Back out on a bunch of content and then likely go a year or two more without any additional DLC then drop the second title. I'd fully understand moving to a DLC pack of cars every two or three months and dropping the "free car" each month model, but if they let this all lapse it'll be quite sad (and I think it'll kill them on the second release).

As it stands I won't be encouraging anyone to anticipate PCars2, nor will I be maintaining my other thread. Tsk tsk.

Onto brighter things as the last few pages have been understandably depressing

I'll finally get my hands on this game tomorrow on the PS4 and I was curious, which DLC packs (under $30) are must haves?

There's just so much good stuff, but I can't really decide as in some packs there's only really one car that interests me (Japanese Car Pack and the Toyota TS040, for instance).

Depends on what you're into. I would at least recommend the Renault pack and the GT icons pack for starters. I've bought every pack except the Lotus classic track pack.

I'm a bit of a GT, LMP and Open Wheeler guy, so I'm not really interested in the road cars. I'm mainly looking at the Aston Martin pack, Racing Icons pack, Audi Ruapana pack and maybe the Classic Lotus and/or Renault Pack. Just a matter of which one I want more and which one has the better value for money.

Racing Icons, Audi and Renault Packs will be the best for you then. And they just cost a little more than 10€. Old vs New can be skipped as it only has the BMW WTCC as a racer.
