The only thing I'm slightly annoyed about is no custom championships. That would have been a real winner IMO. Literally can't even shed a single tear over lack of ovals, try as I might.

Totally agree imo its a huge omission and i dont get how a racing game made by 80,000 racers failed to include custom championships...surely 4 years in the making someone must of realised something was missing?

Yeah the infield tracks are a bit crap...BUT...it does add a unique element. Daytona for instances involves about 1/3 of the high speed oval, transferring into a road circuit inside the oval. While not overly awesome, it is a unique approach as you need to balance the set-up of the car as best you can. Dicing up the infield doesn't matter if you're 15 mph slower on the oval banks.

What exactly were we 80.000 racers supposed to do about it, code it into the game ourselves? Guess what, there were a lot of things SMS left out that we asked for.

I haven't seen a single mention of that Focus BTCC car in a loooooong time. If they're releasing cars soon, I'm at a bit of a loss beyond the couple of teasers we've seen (V8 Aussie, other 2002 Bimmer, KTM X-Bow, Miata drifter etc.)

I think Awong might be referring to the Focus BTCC. If a 2013 Falcon competed against a BMW 320, well, the odds are well and truly against the BMW!
But umm, as for your comment, i dont think they did race together 15-20 years ago, 2011/13 wasn't that long ago

There was a series in the early 2000s that had the super tourers, V8SCs, future tourers and a few other touring type cars as part of the shannons nationals, it was a parity series though,

Not sure how long it takes to create a car. But I don't understand why there aren't at least 4 different V8 Supercars being released. And the same for the BTCC series. That ups the realism of the racing against human or AI racer's. Just how intensive is it to make a car?

It takes 6 months+. The time required to model the car is irrelevant however if you cannot secure the appropriate licencing.

In some cases the procurement of the licence is horribly longwinded. For BTCC for example you require the permission of the BTCC, the car manufacturer for visual rights and the firm, such as ProDrive, that built the car for the manufacturer.

BTCC licensing is difficult because apparently they need licensing from the team, manufacturer, driver, and chassis makers...
