Looking at the list on the website they are not Astons

So yea Ford Mustangs incoming

Two ford mustangs
The RUF RT-12 and Renault Laguna TC on right
Now the ones under BMW must be the 2002 and 320i WTCC

Compared to the 2011 version the e-tron quattro is a dream to drive but I'm still trying to find pace as compared to the RWD P30. Got within 6 tenths of my best time at Silverstone but I'm still fiddling around with it at Spa and Le Sarthe. In racing conditions I find it more consistent, easier to drive, and less thirsty than the P30. However, in all out balls out configuration for time trial it's about 2 seconds slower around Le Sarthe. Its lack of top end speed lets it down a bit.

Tomorrow I'll try the R8 LMP900 around Laguna Seca and will try to get it to do a 1:16.xx. Hopefully this won't be too difficult.

I'm glad they've got the new R18 though, nice to see the newer ones.

Pity it's not as quick as the RWD though, I bloody hate that car. Something about the cockpit on it just annoys me.

Audi Ruapuna Expansion Pack

I have read over at another forum that after you DL this pack all of your FFB settings and tunes reset to default.

Can anyone who has DL and installed this pack, please confirm or deny this information.

Yes I want the New Audi's but not at the risk of loosing all my FFB settings and tunes. Thanks

I thought something similar had happened the first time i went to tune one of the new cars and it said 'create setup' and not 'edit setup'. Then i realized as a new car there was no current setup and so i had to start one. Same with the FFB, obviously it's on default and not Jack Spade's, for example. Perhaps some people made the same mistake i did?

All my other tunes and FFB settings for other cars are still fine, so I wouldn't concern yourself over it.

EDIT: although this is pCARS we're talking about, so one man's glitch/bug might not ever happen to another person. Roulette time!

Am I totally useless (please be gentle!) with the Le Mans cars, like the R18's? They seem reluctant to even reach 190 mph on the Mulsanne straights at Le Mans and I can't seem to lap in under 3:40 (slow). Do I need some better settings for the cars?

You have to tune them and they will go up to 320/330 km/h.

My fastest lap in the RWD P30 around La Sarthe is 3m25something.

It is faster if you tune it right. It has a wider power band, its acceleration is way better (the ERS lasts longer then the one in the P30) and due to its size and weight/aero ratio it can corner at much higher speeds.

I think it's a decent track (no elevation change keeps it from being a winner in my book), but it is a nice change from the sterile garbage Formula 1 tracks we normally see in too many racing games. I think this is a good track for road cars, GT4s, Ginetta Junios etc. I wouldn't want to run too much else on it (tight hairpins, fairly narrow track).

Nice to see a smaller, more local looking track. The cars are pretty great, but I only ran an hour or so last night.

I just wanted to say one more time that the Audi 90 Quattro is unbelievable, probably approaching my favourite car in a racing game. Had epic race after race last night, the car is a beast and the power out of corners is immense. It grips so well you can really get on the power early. I love the almost cushioned feel to acceleration where you can slam down the pedal before exiting the corner and it kind of swells with power before kicking in. Well worth the price of the DLC IMO.

And now I feel like Clarkson for saying power so much!

If I never see another F1 track it'll be too soon. I'd much rather SMS focus on non-F1 tracks and even vintage tracks, rather than the other way around. Of course they have to throw one in here or there just to say they did and keep up with the Jones's, but I'd rather see Ruapuna for example than Paul Ricard or some other track almost completely lacking in character.

One of the WMD members set of a deal with the track owners (it was his home town track ) so SMS could put it in the game

And they are having NZ V8 races there, so it will go well with the Aussie V8 Ford that will come as DLC. And it works well with lots of the lower tier and road cars in the games lineup. And its a nice little track that is not in every racing game ever known to man. And personally, I find it quite fun to drive.

Anyone have a good setup for the E-tron that will give me a high top speed without effecting the corning too much?

It's not really going to go far above 200mph. The latest LMP cars are much more focused on acceleration than top speed.

To be fair, it's not like they have the more boring Formula One tracks in the game. The majority of them are must-haves in a racing game from my perspective, Spa; Silverstone; Monza etc. There are a few bland ones such as Catalunya, but they decided not to add the Shanghais and Bahrains that are just one big parking lot. On the PCARS forum, I voted for Montreal and would probably pick Interlagos after. I just simply love that Wall of Champions!

I tried Ruapana for a few laps with the Quattro. A nice track but, as some mentioned earlier, the lack of elevation and lack of a proper pit makes it a tad boring. Still, I like the way they have circuits from each corner of the world! They even have that Irish karting track (well, at least it says it's Irish..) :D

My biggest issue (and I've said this before) is that Formula 1 tracks have been, and will continue to be determined not by track quality but by access to large grand-stands, TV friendly vistas, access to a large metropolitan area, access to airports and large suitable parking accommodations, etc.

Add to this, a willingness to pay Bernie for TV rights etc., and you have your tracks selected. They're showcases for almost everything but the cars.

Some tracks have a lot of history, but I don't find them enjoyable to race on. I feel almost bad for saying this, but I don't enjoying racing on Spa. Spa...the freakin' legendary track. I find it quite boring, most of its corners annoying. Hardly any sections which give you that whoosh of excitement (maybe eu rouge).

The Dubai track in PCars is "eh", Catalunya is mediocre at best, etc. I can't stand driving on the current Silverstone tracks either.

On the flip side, Watkins Glen is magical. The turns are just awesome...lots of gripping the wheel and praying for the best while pushing out the edge. Road America...hitting the kink perfectly after a perfect launch from the carousel. Bathurst when you get the perfect run along the top of Mt. Panorama, heck even the remodeled Suzuka has that wonderful dipping sweeper onto the main straight. Brands Hatch has that charm (shame we don't get its American sister, Road Atlanta).

I'd trade all of the Formula 1 tracks in the game for a chance to run a few at Mosport, Mid-Ohio, Virginia International Raceway, heck even Lime Rock on occasion.

Amen
