Spot on I reckon mate. Ferrari will be in Pcars 2 I reckon. Ian has stated they are talking to Ferrari, but I don't reckon anything of theirs will come to Pcars 1. However, due to their history (FRL & Shift) together there's no doubt Ferrari will feature in Pcars 2.

More on my last post: I was digging through the Hockenheim track history, and on my favourite historic circuit website, www.racingcircuits.info, I discovered what I was beginning to suspect: The 1982 Hockenheim from FRL isn't the same as the real '82 layout, it's identical to the '94 - '98 layout, which I thought was odd.

As far as the differences go, they're pretty small, but significant enough to make me wonder why SMS called it '82 Hockenheim, when it would have made no difference to the game to just call it '94 Hockenheim, which is what it is.

The differences between '82 and '94 are:

Tightened part of the Clark Kurve chicane moved back a bit (I verified this through onboard F1 vids from years between 82 and 98). FRL's "1982" version is actually the '94 version.

The chicane at Ostkurve is very different. '82 was the first year they used a chicane here, and it was a very small and simple one, like the first chicane ever used on the main straight at Monza. In '94 they changed it from a gently moving to the right, and having a sharp flick left, to the version they used for the rest of the circuit's life, where it runs straight ahead and then has a large right - left chicane. In this version, you can see the road to the right that was used as the first part of the original chicane, and the road to the left in the middle of the chicane that was part of the original Ostkurve. Both of these are visible in FRL's "1982" version.

The Senna Kurve was also tightened in '94, having been left alone before that ever since it was introduced to the circuit. FRL's "1982" version has this change.

So it seems I was wrong in saying this version will be the '82 version and not the later '90s or 2000 version, as the FRL '82 version is exactly the same as the later versions, and not the real '82 version. Dunno how SMS missed that when making the track, but there you go. lol.

I think the cars for Chevy will be the Corvette GTE car along with the Indy car, I was hoping Nissan would join just for the GTR GT3 car :(

Porsche- when pigs fly.

One can hope, with the EA exclusive deal of doom now apparently expiring soon, that someone at the Porsche side of the table has a grain of common sense and tells EA to sod off.

I'd go nuts for the Huracan GT3 or maybe the old GT1 car they had in Super GT, something else to compete with the Merc' and McLaren.

I wouldn't pass up a Murcielago R-SV. ;)

These classic circuits and the Lotus Pack are going to be amazing fun. Looking forward to seeing more but at the same time I think the teasing is unnecessarily drawn out. This content will not arrive until 24-26 November.

So what I gather is that SMS are in talks with Lambo and Ferrari? Nissan would be awesome though for the GTR GT3, 370z GT4, and maybe that group C car they had that Sauber is real lonely :(

At least you can be almost 100% sure you'll have your content end of each month. :)

Afaik these talks have been going on for quite some time. Also note that none of it has ever been officially confirmed by a dev.

On the public forum? The things I read were at WMD, and quite some time ago.

Yeah was on the public forum. I don't have WMD access. It was linked to a thread I was reading there yesterday, I'll try remember where I found it.

Edit. Correction: It was on the WMD forum for Pcars2. The place I read it was in a trash article on Pretend Race Cars. I know they post absolute rubbish over there, but he did have a screenshot of Ian's comment fwiw. He leaked that and some wip stuff on his site and got booted out of WMD with a refund.

So,
Hockenheimring
Silverstone
Rouen
are confirmed.

+free Car. Im ok with it even tho non of those is a drivers challenge but rather high speed tracks.

I would love more tracks like Cadwell with difficult corners and quick direction changes.

Historic Spa is also "kinda" confirmed. At least it was in the beta and they don't have licensing issues like with Mugello...
