I might have an idea from where it came from (I didn't have time to see the screenshot). Funny how I just talked about that yesterday on the WMD forum...

That's ok, we understand. It should never have got out into the public domain n the first place, and this is why SMS can't trust the WMD community; people leak things they shouldn't. Also, yes, everyone's posts are editable by the Mods above them.

Leaked secret info and insiders sworn to secrecy, all for a bloody videogame
I get it though, competition is watching.
The competition is free to watch from the inside, and they do. It's more about not compromising business agreements and the like - the secretly sworn brotherhood aspect of it isn't all that, unfortunately :P

Edit: With reference to DG_Silva's comment below, the competition are ordinary WMD members, so they don't get to know any more than the rest of us.

@ AnfLaw : I missed it too, got no idea what they're talking about...

Not just competition, but potential investors and the Financial Conduct Authority. Things like the one shown is very private, and could risk a sequel or further IP being developed.

Like I've said before, I'm quite happy about the delays. If they continue to delay the game right up until the Sony/Thrustmaster exclusivity deal expires & I can use my G25 or G27 in Project CARS, I'll be even happier!

:D
Boy, would I love to be able to use my G27 and not be forced to buy a new wheel. When does this expiration take place??

There is no deal, I don't know why people keep posting that there is without any proof whatsoever. The Logitech wheels are NEVER going to work natively on PS4 because Logitech is no longer in the business of making console peripherals.

Nobody knows if there is a deal, most people presume that there is simply because Thrustmaster wheels are the only ones that work at present. If that educated guess is correct & such a deal does indeed exist, then one wonders if the deal is exclusive forevermore or whether it will expire one day. However, it's all speculation at present.

Never say never! :P Logitech tweeted that they were still working on PS4 compatibility after they announced they were pulling out of the console peripheral market. Just because they are no longer going to be making peripherals especially for consoles does not automatically mean that they do not want to support their existing product line up on them.

They should be clear to us about the situation at least, i think we deserved that having invested so much money on licensed products in the last years as these wheels didn't come cheap, yet we get treated like the ugly girl at the dance...

Consoles..

@mister dog - If there really is an exclusivity deal, then it probably contains some kind of Non Disclosure Agreement as well. Proof that they're ashamed of what they're doing to us!

Be what it might be, they lost me as a cash cow and i guess many others also who switched to pc ;)

I'm heading in that general direction too, it's only a lack of funds that's preventing me from taking my lovely Logitech wheels over to PC simracing.

The irony is that I had already decided that if I were to upgrade my Logitech gear, after it had worn out of course, I would've gone with Thrustmaster over Fanatec. Now I won't touch Thrustmaster with a barge pole.

If you haven't bought a next gen console yet, for the price you'd pay for it + a T300 + controller + online subscription you can go PC. It's a no brainer :)

I was only expecting to pay £250 to £300 for a PS4 & then use my G25 with it. £300 is the limit of my budget, & I don't think I could get a good enough PC for that small amount.

Maybe I could find a reasonable second hand one for that price, but I'd have to stumble upon a real bargain with lots of bang for buck.

Wait for a couple more delays. We could be playing pCars on the next generation of smartphones.

There are exclusives coming to ps4, people forget that! It's not all about Pcars! I like Uncharted, GT...

Yeah... I'll worry about getting a PS4 for GT7 only (as I'm only interested in Uncharted for Single Player, so won't buy it at launch)

Well, I guess with all this talk of wheels again the delay could be seen as a god thing for me. Longer time to get a new wheel/wait for g27 compatability. And maybe there will be a price drop or more eBay auctions for t300

It won't be compatible no matter how long you wait !
I've a feeling that it could be a longer wait than they say for the release of Project Cars , just a hunch but I've lost a little faith after this recent delay ! Boy I hope I'm wrong and it's released in May and succeeds to be a great racer across all platforms .

Not entirely, but they've successively gotten more rare. Demos tend to affect sales negatively, or at least so have studies shown.

Still, I think it would be a nice idea to have a demo out there for the time being. Perhaps the Formula C and Brands Hatch as a choice? I dunno'.

The reason demos affect sales negatively, is because it gives people the chance to play the game and judge how it plays. If it plays poorly, they won't buy it.

Or, people end up playing the demo instead of the full game, like I did with Mafia II for almost a year before buying it.

Thing is, imo, back in the says the customer trusted the creators of games. Even when a demo was broken, they said: "ok, it's a demo. It will be solved when the game is released".

These days there are so many examples of games coming to the market broken or half finished. And the customer attitude has changed. Look at Dr. Justice' post where he compares that formula one game from 19xx with PCars! Perfect explanation!! He deserves double likes for that!!
