Only suspended, he hasn't been fired/sacked as yet. I don't see the BBC can let this show die as it brings in a huge amount of there budget. The last 3 episodes may run later in the year. There was a good interview on the BBC morning news program yesterday with the Original Stig (pre Ben Collins) He really stood in Clarksons corner

Sorry about the off-topicness, but this season is by far the best recently and I'm piss that the two last episodes could be dropped.

Clarkson is wrong in this one and I expect some harsh punishment.

Depends; If you want to play online, take Gt6, if not take Gt5 (Servers are already down) I found GT5 so much better. Much more races, much more special events (you will know the Nordschleife by heart after doing them ;) ). It's a shame that they took the servers down, I also recently started GT5 all over again :D
Yeah. Grüne Hölle all the way!! I just want to get the feeling for my new T300. I know the track already but it's never wrong the practice.
Tomorrow I'll get the 2 metal parts needed to finalize my rig. Will do some painting on the rig too.
I'm glad it's my day off. Race Friday. :)

This is the best thing that can happen: that more content is added alongside the bug fixes and possible other things that we don't know about.

As stated elsewhere, if they can also make sure that the early races on the career are not dubbed down artificially, I'll 'happily' wait.

Ok I talked to the devs about the AI in the early career and I think their approach makes sense. What actually happens is during this early tiers (kart, formula rookie, etc.) you have these regional series, before you get into the world/European series and looks like AI is only scaled down a bit in those. As you progress to a higher "level" races in the same tier, the reduction gets eliminated and once you get to that world/European stage it's gone completely. So I think that makes sense and does reflect the real world. In the worst case, if you want "pro" drivers in your regional series, we can bump up the slider, but I guess knowing now how it works I'm fine with it. In tiers like formula a, where you just have world championship, there is no difficulty reduction.

I think this would be an extremely opportune moment for SMS to throw us a bone like some juicy new content teases. It might placate a few of their disgruntled customers. Say for example, I don't know, revealing a Lamborghini license or something?

Play online yes see the other cars you're racing against, maybe if you're lucky haha
I have a good connection to and I still seem to lose 4-6 cars and that cause's so much havoc as you can't see them but you can crash into them if they can see you.

Little demo with one track and one car would be nice for consoles and pc .

Stop asking for a demo. They delayed the game to polish it, not to loose their (precious) time making a demo. Making a demo doesn't take 5 minutes.

However, there might be a demo after the release.

Demos are dead! Wish there was more, but look at the situation since 2013!
Not entirely, but they've successively gotten more rare. Demos tend to affect sales negatively, or at least so have studies shown.

Still, I think it would be a nice idea to have a demo out there for the time being. Perhaps the Formula C and Brands Hatch as a choice? I dunno'.

I don't doubt that. But there is risk and reward. And these times are hard. There is big money involved. Maybe that's why they (nearly all of them) are "shy" to release demos.
Me, born in 1980, remember "the good old times"! I know. To many exclamation marks. :D

So how come we dont and didnt need any dev kits to play the following games in open/closed beta
Battlefield 4
Battlefield Hardline
Dust 514
PlanetSide 2 PlayStation 4 Closed Beta
and the list can go on and on for ps3/4

Yeah and on the demo/beta side of things they dont have the make one, just gives us the one they demoed on previous events.

And all these leave enough room to criticize! They don't want that. And look at who are the companys behind the titles you mentioned. ;)

battlefield 4 and to an extent hardline while tested the servers really were a multiplayer demo.
Dust was an odd one having played it for a good while; it was clear it wasn't going to succeed as intended.
planetside closed beta is a sony related thing. However each one has serious financial backing.

Fair enough, that makes sense. All you need to do is start with a challenging enough AI level to keep it interesting throughout. 👍

THIS is why I'm so fond of SMS/WMD (it also happens with some Android devs on G+, for example). Direct (or almost direct) communication between user and dev is fantastic. I wish I was allowed to do that in my own job.

You can forward a big thanks from me for taking the time to answer the question and show that time was spent pondering about it. Another virtual round...

They're making these promotional builds though. So why would a demo be much added effort?
Oh Ninja'd
Because the difference between a build and demo is actually quite different a build is the current stage of the full game. A demo is normally a carefully chosen combination of car and track to show of the game. Creating a demo means devs are pulled away from the important bug fixing.

Would be good if you had one or two arch rivals in the regionals who come through the ranks with you and remain your rivals in the big series, Much like in real life.
