It also wasn't ready to be released when it launched in the EU, apparently. If you guys want an idea of how PCARS's launch might have gone if there hadn't been any delays, check out some of the frustrations and glitches in GTP's RIDE thread. Corrupted savefiles, non-functioning challenges, missing graphics assets, crashes, etc...
 
I'm so glad SMS is keeping a close eye on the competition (I would have done the same myself), especially on a certain game that's not worth mentioning and shouldn't be forgiven easily because because and because. They're really serious about pCARS and I and many others totally respect that. 👍 That means those who are waiting for this title shouldn't expect thousands of updates to occur twenty-freakin'-seven.

I must say it's getting a bit frustrating that we're not being told anything about the exact release date! With all the delays so far, and anticipation it would be nice to be told! It's still mid May, which is getting closer and closer...... Although i've noticed no new build videos (the newest being 974) have appeared on YT since last Wednesday, whereas before that, a new build vid was appearing every day.... That could be suggesting that the game is finished.... Maybe!!....

Or were all busy with work/college/university/life. I alone have 5 videos sitting waiting to be edited just don't have time at the moment.

Better to wait till May and announce it 10 days before release, when the game is already being shipped to retailers. Can't delay it then.

Otherwise no one will believe yet another announcement.
 
But if you go on YT now and type 'project cars' and put the filter to 'today' there are hardly any new videos, just older builds that have been re uploaded....... Surely Easter didn't stop people making new videos for such a mammoth title so close to release...... At Xmas there were many videos every day.... I reckon there is an announcement due very shortly!
 
I reckon they have FOR NOW done what they have needed to for the release as the director of production on the game has gone on holiday and I would imagine he wouldn't of gone on holiday if there was still big issues.

But who knows we are all guessing.

Long, but that's not really relevant to the current situation. PS4 (and x1)is a lot easier to develop for, and that's not just because of the extra raw power.

I'm not sure that comparison is relevant at all. Two completely different methods of development. PCARS is already a mammoth and that's easy to substantiate with the thousands of videos around all of which have come out before the game! Its already obvious a good thing is coming. I think there is an unatural fear in the air that the game will somehow fail or not deliver. How anyone can think this is do to a glitch in the matrix and not possible within the confines of rational thought. XD

There has been a small bug that has developed recently from fixing another bug which affects custom camera positions. Once this has been fixed, expect some more videos.

I know I was just commenting about the comment above which said fantasic things must come to those who wait 4 years. GT5 is a pretty good indicator that is not the case.

Of course that has nothing to do with my opinion of PCars or what I expect from it.
 
I know! To wait for pcars, ill play the RACING SIM real racing 3 on my tablet. Because same thing, right? :D

Best part! Its made by EA, the best game company in the world!
