It's really nice to see the people on the outside turn around from that resistance full of hatred to all the positive posts nowadays, but... I just hope it stays positive post release. Only than can us WMD members and SMS feel like we succeeded in bringing you guys something with good entertainment value. ;)
 
Yeah regarding moving from game to game; I used to be a Forza Fanboy, League raced on FM4 all the time via TORA (@Myles Prower) Does as well IIRC. Still on the Xbox Platform, but FM5's content made me loose interest in the FM series. I watched TeamVVV do a PCARS video in early 2012, been following the game since, I then signed up on this forum about 6 months ago, and hella glad I got to discuss with you all. Cheers! :cheers:

I was curious about this code masters forum, and there isn't 1 negative thing about pcars! And let's be honest, pcars is fighting on foreign land on their code masters forum. (Yes I know this is a gtplanet forum. But that's different cuz gran turismo is nowhere where it used to be)

Incorrect, since Codemasters have gone downhill as well. What actually makes the difference is that GTplanet.net is a fan website and forum, but in the case of Codemasters we are talking about a forum that is controlled by Codemasters (the developer) themselves. So instead of talking on a fan website fans are talking in someone else's "house" about their competitor. ;)

It's a little weird, even if it wasn't a Codies Forum, for a thread to go that long and not have at least one troll. Give it time..:sly:

Mmmm i think i know that yes! Lol!! Just ironic seeing a game, and it's followers talking about PCARs on its own forum....People have said here that PCARs may suffer from lack of publicity and may not sell as well as it should.... But if the CM fanboys keep talking about it, it will!! :lol:
 
I have an interesting example regarding publicizing pCARS... I have a friend with whom I sometimes play GRID AS with, and just by mentioning some of the game's features, I persuaded him to pre-order the game on Steam (and he did so without having watched a single pCARS Youtube video). He only watched his first video yesterday, when I sent him the link for Adrian's latest video (Huayra at Mt. Panorama, his favourite track on GRID AS)

I'm not sure this is anything significant. F1 games aren't even sims so its a bit pointless comparing the two. People will always buy F1 games just for the license.

I don't doubt for a minute that is true, but no other tarmac racer besides PCars will sit on my HDD and I used to buy every F1 game by Codies except for 2014.
 
Different people look for different things in their games. I have high hopes for PCars, although I know it won't leave me 100% satisfied (but that's where getting onboard WMD for PCars2 comes in...). It will be only the third racing game I currently have installed (and fourth game period), the other two are GTR2 and NR2003...

what a weekend ahead!! have to buy food, drinks and that usb sound card so i dont have to plug the chat cable into the ds4! and then im good to go...

Lucky you. I may be waiting a few weeks as I only get £60 on Saturday which I kinda need £15 of for a USB stick. Geuss I'm waiting til the 21st (Side note: QRS may be delayed a week)

I finish work at 2pm on the Thursday and don't have to go back until 2pm on the Monday. :D

I might bump into you at some point... hopefully not literally.
