I probably shouldnt even answer such a lovely post  but if you buy the digital edition, you get all the cars, even without preordering.
What seriously? Are you actually telling me that just because I don't have enough internet or internet speed to waste on downloading a full game, I don't get to use all of the cars? Why?!!?

Loving the game so far....A real challenge!

Started career with the Clio Cup, AI on 80% and got a 5th and a 2nd in the first rounds at Donington....Lovely little car to drive!

I must say that i have already encountered 4 little bugs in the game: (I have posted them in the bugs thread already) Anyone here seen these problems too?

a) In second race of first round in career in the Clios at Donington i lost all the HUD without changing a thing....Made it difficult to follow the race and how many laps etc.

b) When i start a new race i have to turn on the Force Feedback on my Thrustmaster T100 wheel, as it turns itself off on the results screen after each race.

c) Aston Martin GT4 interior and dash display very dark at Donington, impossible to read info on dash display.

d) The subtitles (which you can't turn off for some reason) don't match what the pit engineer says at times.

Great game though!! :)
I had the Stig telling me I was 3 seconds ahead when it was actually only 2.2! someone fire this guy!

Incentives. You will still be able to get the other cars some time down the line.

Finally! Going to take a much needed shower and make me some food while day one patch downloads (awful download speed on PSN at the moment). Can't wait to give it a go!

:D

Question for Steam users... Does it happen to you guys that after quitting pCARS, you're forced to close Steam on task manager due to a message saying the game is still running? It's getting annoying...

I don't have this problem, someone said you can quit the game from the driver profile screen and it will not happen. Can't confirm or deny it

I wish I had that much space. I often switch between games every day, so I have lots on my hard-drive due to mandatory installs.

Having to install the game everytime I want to play it is a pain, downloading all the updates and the game itself? No thanks. I miss just putting in my disc and playing :(

I did the wheel calibration test where it says move all the way round one way, set, then back 90 degrees then set, but when I got in the car the 1:1 movement was way out. I'm sure 90 is a quarter turn, so think I got that right. any thoughts?
the default settings seem to work no probs though.

The way to calibrate it is this. On that 90degree screen, it shows you what your wheel calibrated degrees will be, and you need to make sure it matches your wheel's selected degree range. So for example, my wheel is TX, which is 900 degrees on my PC. I turn it to the position where the reading on the setup screen will say 900 (not always exactly 90 degrees from the center point). I don't have any issues. Try that.

I certainty will. it doesn't really say do that though. so do you turn it the whole way first then do that other part? sorry

Yeah there are two parts. First turn it all the way (the last part could require some serious force). Then click next (on PC, on consoles probably button) while holding the wheel there. Then rotate the wheel back to 90 (approximately) while paying attention to what the readout is, so that it will match you actual maximum degrees.

I don't quite understand why is some wheel calibration in the game options. The wheel calibrate itself when you switch PS4 on and the pedals are calibrated when you first fully press them.

Just do it! ;)
If you want absolute certainty that you are getting the best out of the game. This part needs to be only done once though. The first time you start the game.

What is annoying is that in front of the car (1m coupe at monza) there is a none visible "line" that keeps pushing the graphics forward. I don't know how to discribe that. It's like you push a transparent texture in front of the car. Look at the lines when leaving the pit at monza. Get me?!

In replays the player car seems to jump every time you pause.

A few other graphical errors are there too. tearing in replay is there too. And where is the slomo effect in replay mode?!

And again, how do I control the cam in photo mode when driving with a wheel?!

Why is my time trail lap time not uploaded to the leaderboards when there is other drivers with the same car at the same track with times worth than mine?!

I'm American and all I will say is: While I'm really annoyed I couldn't pre-order the Limited Edition/it isn't available here as a hard copy, my internet is so 🤬 that between the patch and the pre-order cars I'm kinda stuck with buying the hard copy (I wanted too anyway so it doesn't matter) unless I want to be downloading for 24 hours... Am I holding this against Namco/SMS whatever though? No. It's something that cannot be helped. Will be looking forward to the Sauber C9 DLC whenever they release it...or if they ever do.

Still waiting until Tuesday. :odd:

Leaderboards are only available from TimeTrail mode, where the settings are fixed, so everyone's on equal footing.

Wasn't this game meant to have animated pit stops? Just watched some gameplay and it's like iracing. Are they coming in a patch?

Yeah I did some laps in time trail. That's why I'm asking.
Are you sure you didn't get "lap invalidated" message for those laps? Like if you go off track a little bit?. If you didn't, then I'm not sure...

EDIT: Yes, pitstop animations will come later in a patch.

Is someone in here so kind to run a lap times thread?! Or do we just look at the ingame leaderboards?! Is there a website run by sms to get the times from around the world via web browser?

I'm sure. Cause the time is saved ingame with my name. But not in the leaderboards.
Is there only 50 best lap times per track?! Wish I could filter track plus car.

yes that line is texture filtering I guess. details appearing at that line. lots of games have it, don't always notice it.
use your brake pedal for slow mo. push it all the way down for fast rewind, softly softly gets you slo mo
