Ricmotech doesn t communicate on that adaptator....
So without real proof i won t buy
If all is verified it will be awesome
My driving force gt on Project cars and later on gt7

That looks like a potential waste of money. :(

Don't buy 3rd party devices that promise that your wheel will work on the PS4. Yes it may allow it to function, but I highly doubt that it will function correctly and with FFB.

Here's a tip to watch out for....if any company claims the device will give you "force feedback", watch their demonstration videos. If the video shows the guy plugging in a PS4 or XBone handheld controller/gamepad, then that is a red flag. Because it means no matter what, the game will see your wheel as a controller, and respond accordingly. Meaning you will get dodgy analog steering input and only rumble/vibrations...that's it. Not TRUE proper force feedback.

When the day comes where you'll see the guy plug in a steering wheel for that specific console, and then plug in *ANOTHER* FFB wheel, that is when you know that he's onto something genuine that will deliver proper FFB. I expect TitanOne to be the first to accomplish this but we'll see.

^ This!

I must apologies for the rash post earlier about the adapter, more good news GT6 could be having B spec in the next update….wtf and why?

…still polishing my wheel stand in anticipation of receiving P-Cars

No need to apologise Phil. :) At the end of the day, I'd rather have people showing us these so called solutions so that we can prevent people wasting their hard earned on something that probably wont work. 👍

Anyone considering a 3rd party adapter to enable a Logitech wheel to work on a PS4 are much better off saving their money and putting it towards a (I hate to say this) T300 wheel which will work.

Oh, whoopee. I do so hope I can use the accelerator on my pedals to teach b spec Bob to use his accelerator. Equally I'm planning on introducing him to subtle use of the brake pedal and steering wheel. However I'd be made up if I could program my 8 way shifter to eject Bob, load up Project Cars on the PS4 and pass control back to me.

This subject is so depressing to me. I have a Fanatec CSR with Club Sport Elite pedals on a Wheel Stand Pro ... and I can't use it (except for GT6). *sitting while shaking head side to side slowly*

I really hope this Titan thing works. I really do.

I had a thought (conspiracy theory warning): Do you think Sony is blocking other wheels BECAUSE of GT7 not being out? I'm guessing if all our wheels worked with the PS4, a lot of us would/will be playing Driveclub and PCars (especially PCars). Some us wouldn't even go back to playing GT6 (especially if PCars came out with all wheels supported). Speaking for myself, I'd be playing Driveclub exclusively right now. It may be arcadey, but it is GORGEOUS and feeds my open road, country side, through the mountains, etc. driving passion I once had back in GT4 while driving El Capitan. Heck, some of us may not go back to GT period (again if all wheels were supported) even when GT7 comes out. Especially after all the broken promises, lack of ANY recent cars, little car sound improvements, and, IMO, no real improvements in car customization when compared to other racing games out/coming out. Sony probably knows this and has no way to compete (they don't even an image released for GT7). With GT being a AAA, first party, console pusher that makes a LOT of money (just look at the sales, look at it's presence in the racing community, virtual and real life which equates to money) Sony stands to loose a LOT of money. So someone in Sony said this can't happen and asked the question, "What's the LEAST bought racing wheel brand for the PS3?". That would be the Thrustmaster. Face it, most of us have Logitecs (PC and PS support) and Fanatecs (PC, PS, and XBox support). If someone wants to get that real play experience from Driveclub and PCars, they're going to have to pay some GOOOOOD money for a DECENT 900 degree wheel. Near cost of a PS4 type of GOOOOOD money making people VERY hesitant to make the purchase. When all is said and GT7 is done, it releases with all wheels supported.

I can feel it. I feel the tension. I can feel it in my ...

I'm sorry. I couldn't help it.

I have a simple solution for you : sell your fanatec csr on ebay, there are a lot of people who can use it for pc, and buy a thrustmaster.
And Sony isn't blocking logitech, logitech has left the console market a few years ago.

I understand Logitech left, but Fanatec and Madcatz are still in. Besides that, why block a brand that MANY console race sim players already have (G25/27s)?

BTW, I'm liking that car in your avatar. If that's yours, NICE car.

Thanks, yes it's my car : 2009 Audi TTS.

This situation is what it is, we can't do anything about it. The situation is literally "Take it or leave it".
I sold my Fanatec csr wheel a year ago for 120€ and buy a Thrustmaster TX for 280€.
And the Thrustmaster wheel is much better than the Fanatec CSR.

The wheel has 400+ hours on Forza 5 and 160+ hours on FH2, and it still works perfectly, while my Fanatec broke within 2 months.
Well my opinion is a bit clouded because of all the stories of them breaking i must admit.

You know what my dad told me when i was a kid ? Never buy a new car in the first 2 years.
That's very true and i actually followed that rule with consoles so far (although i switched to pc recently), the first batches are more expensive and haven't got the gremlins sorted out yet. I also buy all my cars second hand actually. Might be because i don't have the money to afford a new one but still.

Haha, the same here. I always buy my cars second hand. I have an expensive taste :D

You could have been saying an identical statement back in the early production run of some Fanatec wheels.

Guys went through 4-5 Clubsport v1 wheels before they got a good one, apparently through a batch of bad motors but still.... It put many people off the CSWv1 wheel completely as a result, yet tens of thousands of perfect CSWv1 wheels are out there giving users a great experience.

Most guys move to a new wheel and enjoy it, reading forums will always skew your vision on this. :)

You rant about GT as well as me!

It's because of Sony and PD's broken promises I've bought myself the T300RS, Clubsport V2 pedals and am just waiting for PCars and the CPX adapter...

If I had the money after that I'd be building a PC for RaceRoom, Assetto and PCars... I am saving the pennies...

I have seen enough moaning and griping over Thrustmaster being the only compatible wheel.
Though I understand why people are moaning, I also think it's pointless at this point. The possible alternatives have been laid out several times in this thread already, so pick your poison and move on. Either way, it will cost you a fair amount of cash if you want to play this and other race game(s).

However, from what I've experienced so far... it's worth it in my opinion. Especially if you are used to cheaper wheels like the Driving Force GT like me.

Unboxing my new toys today, just a shame I don't have a decent game to play with it... GT6 it might have to be...

Yes, wether you stick with console and get a new wheel, or get a PC and keep your old one, it will be a great experience. Or if you want to go all in (as in 'all out of your wallet'), do both. :sly:

So let's just conclude that if you have a wheel, buying a PC is the best option if you don't feel like getting bend over by a shady corporate scam 👍

This thread can get locked now
If you buy a PC only because you don't want to bend over, it's wrong IMO.
In the PC world it's the same thing. I had a perfect working windows xp OS but at some point they stop supporting it and force you to buy windows 7. Thats how business works.
There is only 1 question you have to ask : what are the possibilities and which do I choose ?

I'll try to keep this short. I started back in the early 90's with computers. Built quite a few and dropped a bit of $$$. Think the first race sim I did was Indy Car Racing by Papyrus. Jump ahead. Consoles came out and made it easy to enjoy my race sims w/o all the tweaking. Now here comes PCars and this is the first time in a long time that I'm building a pc. Not only so I can use my CSR ( working excellent still) but, to really crank out the beauty and upgrades that only the pc community can offer. To each their own.

Windows XP is already 14 years old, and you can pick up 7 for 25 euros if you look on ebay so no biggie. There's quite a big difference between that example and licensed 2-300 euro steering wheels that released only a couple of years ago.

Besides it's not like you can't use your windows xp pc anymore, it's just not supported with security updates by windows.

Running a PC with no security is a brilliant idea.If you read this article completely http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-05-whats-the-deal-with-ps4-and-xbox-one-steering-wheels
and read Logitech's response, its about profitability they opted out of the console Sony/Microsoft market.
In January 2013 Logitech CEO Bracken P. Darrell said this:

  • We are taking immediate actions to shape a faster and more profitable Logitech. We are developing more mobility-related products, leveraging the powerful growth of tablets and smartphones. We intend to sustain our leadership in PC platform-related products where we have engineering, distribution and scale advantages. Our goal with PC-platform products is to maximize profitability, while investing selectively in growing categories.
  • We have also identified a number of product categories that no longer fit with our current strategic direction. As a result, we have initiated the process to divest our remote controls and digital video security categories, and we plan to discontinue other non-strategic products, such as speaker docks and console gaming peripherals, by the end of Calendar Year 2013.
So in the end its all about profit. So Logitech according to this says they will no longer make these products. Thats why companies are in business. To make money. Did you expect Sony to license something that will no longer be made.

Get Avast or AVG then, point is you can still use the computer.

Logitech pulling out is only affecting negotiations for a proper driver to be made, it is not the cause both Sony and MS installed 'security chips' so all wheels are rendered useless.
