The Fanatec wheels work on the ps3 using logitech drivers right? Just for S&G wouldn't fanatec drivers work for the logitech wheels?

Sadly no - the Fanatec wheels working on PS4 with project cars are being put in PC mode not ps3 mode which is the logitech piggy back.

I'm just curious, if I were to buy a fanatec wheel now, on their website they have the porsche gt3 bundke for 229 comes with pedals and the wheel. Dumb question, do I have to buy a base for that as well? Their site is verryyyy hard to understand.

No, the Clubsport V1 was the first to have separate base and rim. Get a package with Elite pedals if possible.

Well if anything, I'm at a g27 currently, is gt3 much better or am I better off waiting possibly a few months for a possible change in compatability?

Disregarding compatibility, a G27 and a GT3 are pretty much equal, with only personal preferences deciding the stronger. A side step (as opposed to an upgrade) would not make sense until pCARS is actually here and a decision is "forced".

So I need a "place" on my rig (t300) to hang the ds4 to control ps4 ui?! Oh boy, beer holder, ds4 holder, headset holder... what's next?! :D

Btw: I don't like the idea of connecting my px44 headset to the ds4 (where do I put it?!) to have chat conversations and ingame sound during races!

No your T300 has the chip Unless of course your using the mic system

alright. so browsing the menus is not a problem. i think ill get that usb to headjack audio adapter @Spitfire77 mentioned. i definitely want to use my headset for ingame audio and chat! ...and 7 euro is not much.

i think ill give it a try.

i forgot: the chat cable is just 1 meter long. so i need an extension cord for that.

edit: as i just read, the stick is to big to fit into the ps4 usb port. so i have to get a usb extension. so no need for the chat cable extension anymore.

Are you sure that thing will work on a ps4? I have doubts for it's a PC peripherals and would need drivers to work on ps4.

1 or 2 users did state in the amazon.de reviews that it worked on ps4. i can send it back if it aint working though. no problem.

So if fanatec wheels could use logitech drivers on PS3... then an adapter that allows logitech wheels to use fanatec drivers on PS4 should be possible.

????

If you could do that yourself (hole drilling) then that's definitely an option. It is just one circle, which is a great design for it! :D Could have been much worse if they made the D-Pad cross shaped.

Let me know how it goes if you do mod it mate.

Done it mate, the wheel was from Motorsport-Tools.com £59.40

Is there a chance that in time the Logitech wheels are being supported anyway? Or is it never going to happen? Because if so then I just get it for the PC. No way I'm gonna spend a couple of hundred bucks on a wheel when I got a perfectly fine working wheel already.

I got a brand new G27 (still sealed in the box), & would sure like to use it on Project CARS. If not, I'll buy a T300RS but only if I can get one & a second hand PS4 for under £300.

Finding a cheap second hand PS4 is very tricky, all the cheap ones I've come across have turned out to be scams!

COME ON LOGITECH, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!
Fanatec have done it already, why can't you?

Because cheap cop-out excuses and Sony needs those dolla-dollas.

If they see a big drop in wheel-sales, will they not just bend over for Sony and just pay them?

No, because Logitech already stated 2 years ago that they were leaving the Console Gaming Accessory market. They are focusing on the PC Gaming Market only at this point, and there is no indication that they are even looking at any new or updated wheel design for that. They seem perfectly content to continue to milk the G27 for now. They are more focused on Keyboards, Mice and mobile accessories. Wheels, Joysticks and Game Pads are too much of a niche market for them now.

Since my G27 is only a little over a year old (bought brand new in conjunction with GT6), I am moving back to the PC for pCARS. At some point in the future I will invest in a Fanatec wheel setup. There is far greater realism and immersion available on the PC side, especially with the ability to include add-on accessories such as second screens for dashboards and live telemetry monitoring, not to mention custom paint schemes, etc. For me, I am going back to my roots as I started racing on the PC side many years ago, but moved to the Console side with GT5.
