God I hope it's true. And I won't feel one ounce of sadness for the people that rushed out to buy a ****** overpriced Thrustmaster wheel to replace their Logitech. They deserve it in a way. It's people that do that that allow this **** to happen.

just so you know, the t300rs is a much better wheel than the g27. Some of us just decided its not getting resolved and g27 wont be on ps4 any time soon,if at all
.Nobody likes the situation,we didnt allow it, but we dont have any choice so we move on to bigger and better things, perhaps you should do the same mate then youll be able to play soon,if not you may just miss out alltogether.iam glad in a way my hand was forced, i sold my g27 and put towards the t300.very glad i did too.

I agree that the T300 has better FFB and that the motor used is much better too.

But on all other counts the G27 is actually as good as , if not arguably better than the T300. There is no denying that for 'bang for buck' the G27 is the winner and it is seemingly more reliable too. The G27 is packaged with a shifter, 3-pedals, a leather rim, it has proven reliability and is cheaper than the basic T300. The T300 has a rubber rim, no clutch, no shifter and currently there are reliability issues to worry about too.

So, I'm glad that I've got a G27 with 'old tech', because it's still a damn good wheel.....on the PC/PS3. :banghead:

If PS4 support happens then I will be buying PS4 racing games, if it doesn't get supported then I'll stick with the PC. I'm not buying a T300, I don't want one and can't justify the purchase.

Fingers crossed for some good news. :)

When you go off half-cocked like that, don't you worry where the other half will end up?

A little more informed angst please citizen.

This. I said before immersion is more important than a brushless motor FFB, IMO. No way can I justify $400 for a wheel with no shifter or clutch, not to mention plastic pedals.

I think personally it is worth the price, I think it would cost a lot to make this wheel. However gone back to G27 so hoping for still PS4 support then might get pCARS on PS4.

If immersion is important then FFB feeling surely is very important, it feels much more real to me than the G27. Also add-ons can improve the whole package to another level but at an extra cost.

Anyway best to look out for offers, would you change your mind at $199.99 like Frys had it at that price yesterday?:

That's a much fairer price for the T300RS as a wheel alone and also when you want to start considering buying the pedals and gearbox. Should end up being the same cost as a G27 when it was new once you add the costs up

Even at that price it's still $200 out the window that I shouldn't have to spend to play 1 game. Especially when I have a wheel that suits me fine.

OH MY DAYS! That's only £127! I'd buy one for that price.

Here in the UK that wheel costs £299 on Amazon (at the time of posting).

:(

Think it is a real bargain at that price and think RRP is fair price given competition.

If playing on PC, you can still use old peripherals in this game but I'm still hoping PS4 support is added.

Yes.

:(
Zavvi sell it for £189.99 when in stock. GTE version is only £239.86 on Amazon. I'm going to try wait for a new GT7 wheel to come out before potentially buying again or some amazing Amazon Lightning Deal.

£299 is equal to $468.77.......

+ Shifter

+ Pedal Set

That's what I've got, and guess what it equals : one helluva set up :)
OK, its a lot of money, but I was having to get a new wheel anyways as my old DFGT was on its last legs, I saw that Logitech wasn't going to be compatible on next gen consoles and thought, sod it, may as well go the whole hog and I haven't regretted a moment.
I can understand all the Logitech owners being miffed that their wheel is incompatible, but if Logitech isn't willing to pay the licencing fees to allow compatibility, it leaves console owners little choice but to look to other wheels, or go the PC route.

I have a G27, If i buy a ps4 and t300, thats £600+ before i even buy the game, 600+ just for one game. Or i could just keep my G27 and spend £600 on a pc and have a choice of multiple racing games.

I just can't believe it. I even thought I could get by with a T80 until this gets sorted out (still hoping the drivers are coming). I find out the T80 is a non-force-feedback pos. Shoot me in the face. I just can't believe so much time and investment goes into developing "the most realistic driving sim" and the most popular wheel is left out. I'm seriously disappointed and already looking ahead to a PC setup. Someone needs to be fired at Sony and Logitec.

More like .. (Sony) Hey Logitech do you want to pay the licensing fee like everyone else? (Logitech) .. nah .. screw you and our existing customers.

Oh .. and the cheapest force-feedback wheel is the Thrustmaster T300 .. $400. I wish I could get my money back on the game .. totally unenjoyable without a wheel. Too realistic of a sim for a regular controller. This is a huge misstep and unfortunately Project Cars will suffer in sales because of it.

As far as I know every Logitech wheel works as advertised.

Personally, I think that Logitech should have thought higher of brand loyalty (and the spoils that come with it) rather than refraining from spending a few dollars, and got things working though.

I'm going to plug mine in right now but I'm pretty sure they are not supported on PS4 .. I don't think they were advertised as being supported on PS4 (as far as I know). It just sucks there's no option under $400 with force-feedback. You're right about brand loyalty.

Currently G27 does not work on PS4, however Andy Tudor's recent comment regarding Logitech wheels/PS4 and pCARS is interesting...

"Our list of supported wheels are not final, please hang in there [laughs]... We have the answer, but we just can't tell it right now".

Suggests they might be working on something.

There's always the t100, it has force feedback and it's less than half the price of a t300rs.

I'm really hoping it comes with the next patch/update. It's killing me sitting here with a G27 and a PS4 reading how awesome the game is from everyone else. It's gonna take me at least a couple more months before I can afford a PC rig. If Logitech wheels get support I could go to Best Buy tonight and pick the game up. :banghead:

Just read the PCars bug/glitch thread, it will cheer you up. There are loads of bugs being reported, so I'm hoping that G27 support will happen, meanwhile the bugs will be fixed and I'll start with a new career on a game which has had the main bugs ironed out. The game might be cheaper too. 👍

Patience. :)

Overpriced i what way's? Its not like the g27 is THE best wheel out there?

It's not unplayable with the controller, it works ok even with the default options.
