Project CARS - Logitech Wheels NOT Supported on PS4

Now I know Photoshop and that wheel looks real.

HOWEVER, if you look closely, it just looks like a modified G27. Look at rim frame and also the wheelbase. Then again it could be the new wheels for Logitech's PC range that could be used on PS4 for all we know.

This just boggles my mind I tell you. Though I have to say, give the public what they want, G27 and DFGT support with the brand new G27+ G- Edition :D so G it's unbelievable

The guy who was posting about it says that is the prototype... here is the forum if you want to see. (note he did just create his account today)

I don't care if Logitech ends up making a new wheel. I only care about legacy support. I refuse to shell out for a new wheel even if this supposed G29 turns out to be real.
I feel the same. 👍

I want a couple more years use from my G27 so that I can get a decent amount of use/enjoyment from my investment before I'd consider a replacement.

I'm just happy there will be a cheaper option than what currently out, with good pedals and a shifter included for the immersion factor 👍

I'm talking about this you smart:censored:

Games that you own on ps3 should be free from the service, not charged...
And I'll add that you have to pay $50 a year just to play online (playstation plus)

I would just keep my PS3 or buy another PS3 if needed, Because all I play on PS3 is GT6 anyway, so it wouldn't be cost effective for me or people like me. and once GT7 is released the PS3 is going in the trash, it's been repaired too many times, and it presently needs repair, but right now Project CARS has my undivided attention. but I can understand the charge for online play, somebody has to maintain the servers, and no one works for free, I know I don't work for free at least LOL.

If true I really hope they add legacy support which would allow me to eek some more usage out of my G27 and then maybe upgrade to the G29 once I get fed up of not having a Dpad or the relevant PS4 buttons.

That logo on the new wheel is that a Logitech logo? Or a new Gran Turismo logo?

Let's not count our chickens just yet, could be worse than the Thrustmaster for all we know.

I'll pass on the Logitech G29 even if it's not a Hoax (But I believe it is.), The Thrustmaster T300 RS is modular with a ton of options in there new Eco sysytem, providing innovation customers need to have security of Thrustmaster Longivity, with the latest technology, Logitech Isn't supporting it's customers, How could they NOT go next gen with the G25 & G27,?? Logitech not even responding to customer inquiries about PS4 compatibility, I will feel better paying more for a Thrustmaster T300, or just staying with my Thrustmaster T80 then take a chance with logitech MIA G25, G27 and The Logitech G29 Mystery Wheel. SMH :indiff:

I understand your thinking. Logitech haven't handled the situation very well at all and I'm sure many customers are annoyed at Logitech right now.

I'm pretty sure that IF G25/7 support does happen, there will be loads of disappointment too, from those that have since binned/sold their Logitech wheels in favour of a Thrustmaster or Fanatec.

Logitech need some lessons on how to take care of their customers.

VBR
I have to say that this wheel looks butt ugly! But if it works well, doesn't really matter.

I think it needs an analogue stick though so we can look around the cockpit.

It looks more like a toy now. The G25/G27 looked more serious and business-like.

I have to say if they bring out a G29 and don't offer backward support (offering drivers to Developers at least) for G25/G27 I'd be very reluctant to make the upgrade.

Whats to say you don't buy a G29 and then have no support on the PS5?

Like how to build/sell 2 "industry standards" wheel peripherals in their respective price range...

What makes you think Logitech are the ones to blame in this sad saga? Is there specific info you can share so we can come to such a conclusion? As far as I understand, Logitech must have already paid the associated patent related royalties for every wheel they have put in the stores so far...

The fact is that Logitech have been pretty much mute on the issue of compatibility, refusing to give any definite answers to questions raised by their customers and that has frustrated a vast amount of Logitech customers.

Just read through this thread, it's evident that Logitech customers are annoyed with the communication, or rather lack of communication from both Sony and Logitech.

Personally, I'm pissed at both Sony and Logitech. I haven't actually given either company any further custom since I realised that my wheel isn't being supported on the PS4.

I imagine that I'm not the only one that feels this way. ;)

You certainly are not the only one annoyed by the current situation. It just seemed to me you were putting the blame on Logitech for the lack of support for their products on the PS4. To me there are to many unknowns to come to that conclusion. Hopefully it is getting sorted...

What's to say the G25/27 will?

I understand your point and share the same frustration but it would be stupid of them if they release a wheel that won't be supported in a future gen.

Well that's exactly what's happening with the G25/G27, both released when the seventh generation was well underway already (2007/2010).

Guys.... check this out please.

The PlayStation 4 version of Ultra Street Fighter 4 supports PS3 fight sticks, Sony has announced.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Gio Corsi, director of third-party production at Sony Computer Entertainment America, said it had included Lab Zero's drivers so Ultra Street Fighter 4 will support licensed PS3 fight sticks as well as PS4 fight sticks.

Last year, developer Lab Zero worked with Naughty Dog programmer John "Cowboy" Bellomy to create a custom driver that meant any stick that reads as a generic USB gamepad or joystick would work with the PS4 version of its fighting game Skullgirls Encore.

It means players who already own a PS3 fight stick won't have to fork out hundreds for a PS4 fight stick just to play with their controller of choice."

Looking at this there´s NO excuse for any manufacturer to not give support to PS3/PC Wheels. With this Driver there´s no more stupid "security chip" excuses....

I hope so at least....

When you say the G27 doesn't work anymore on War of Thunder, are you saying they went out of their way to patch the game specifically to stop G27 functionality? That's pretty ****** if so, I don't own a PS4 anyway though.

Good point but with this gen probably being shorter than the last one, I have hope this will be a different case.
