^ The G920 is for PC (and XB1).

it's the same hardware so why the g29 isn't compatible with pc, I think it's a bad decision, probably it will push the user to buy a pc and x1 instead of a PC and a ps4

EDIT: G29 is compatible with PC
FOR PLAYSTATION 3 AND PLAYSTATION 4
Enhance your console experience

You will never want to race with a regular controller again after you add Driving Force to your controller selection.

G29 game steering wheel is designed for the latest racing games for your PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®3 console. G29 Driving Force also works on your PC using Logitech Gaming Software.

bad news

no legacy support... otherwise they would have announced full logitech support immediatly and not just for the two new models, considering also how much they have pushed by the community.

and the price is high.. i expected it to be much lower! I paid less for the T300!
499 NZ Dollars are 310€!

the official price is 409€ in Italy

The G29/920 is a G27 with some modifications a 7 year old wheel, buy a Thrustmaster TX/T300 or 500. Simply a pure cash in on console gamer's

i agree despite the fact that thrustmasters have serious reliability problems.. and i'm telling this as a t300 owner.

However condering that in Italy this new G29 is +100€ vs T300... well no brain

I can't believe that's the price. Maybe "suggested retail" and it will actually sell for half?

here, official price in italy on the official logitech site is 409€ versus the 369€ of Thrustmaster T300 (i bought it on amazon italy for 289€)

Still i can't get logitech move.. no legacy support and instead of filling the gap with a low end product, they release an overpriced wheel with 7 years old tech..

That price is waaaaaay to high for what is essentially a modded G27

Vid if anyone is Interested

Maybe the high price indicates just how much Sony is fleecing Logitech for their "Money-Making Chips", sorry I mean "Security Chips".

I quite frankly didn't realise how "Insecure" my old PS3/G25 combo was until Sony thankfully sorted it out, well done! :sly:

Seriously, maybe legacy support will come sometime after Sony makes enough money from their "Greed Chips".

All I know is this; I most certainly will not be buying either a Logitech G29 or shifter.

They mentioned "a new optical encoder assembly", so hopefully there will be none of the calibration issues that affected the G25 & G27 wheels. Also, in the write up on the Project CARS website it says; "The nonlinear brake pedal mimics the performance of a pressure-sensitive brake system for a responsive, accurate braking feel." So no need to buy GTEYE or NIXIM brake mods then.

I think they need to make an additional sequential shifter as well, so customers can choose either, neither, or both. Not that I'll be buying one at that price anyway!

2:45 to tell us it's basically a G27 with a fixed optical encoder and ..with different buttons... Nothing wrong with that of course, the G27 is a solid wheel...just not at that price:mad:

"We listened to the community."
*makes wheel $400*
Well you must have been listening to the wrong community then!
*scours internet looking for the guy who asked for a $400 G27 without a shifter - finds guy in Trinidad but he was talking about $TT ($6TT:1$US)*

Expected really, Logitech wouldn't have sold a single G29 if that was the case. Maybe now they'll sell 2.

No worries, enough people around that don't have a clue who will fork over those 400 bucks.
What a scam, they just re release the same product for the new consoles at double the price, and their old customers can go **** themselves.

Maybe the G29 and T300 are now the mid-range wheels. Call it inflation.

At least the T300 is using new tech.

The G29 appears to be the same tech as a $200 G27. So an extra $200 for PS4 compatibility?
That's quite a bit of inflation considering just a few years ago you could get a full 3 pedal (with shifter) set for $250-$300. Can you say 25% mark up.

Yep. 👍

Considering that quite a few people have a perfectly useable Logitech wheel already, the price for getting the PS4 compatibility stinks.

I'm sure that Logitech will sell some of these new wheels. But they won't be selling me one.

That's an expensive wheel !! Can't see any discount prices for a good long while until Logitech claw back their investment.
