Mine is on a bookcase too, right next to the 360. I've never had any problems with it either...

I'm talking about mine under the bookcase, not next to my 360. So, in essence, it got no ventilation at all. Plus it was on carpet, which isn't the most cooling material...

EDIT: Wow, we should just rename this thread to "Next-Gen Consoles Discussion" since half the time we're talking about the 360.

EDIT again: Does anyone know when Afrika and the next Wipeout come out? Right now, I might just have to sell my PS3.

Haha good one there, duck! Anyways, i definitely recommend Oblivion and Resistance. Both games are good. And wow, Oblivion is insane!!! There is just so much to do and its so freeform. I love it so much.

I have F1 and Resitance coming and I'm certain to download Tekken 5 DR and GTHD. After that I'll look at getting Motorstorm and Virtua Fighter 5 (but I may rent instead) along with games like Untold Legends and Genji which I'll rent (they are only worth a rental really). Probably rent Oblivion too, just to take a look at it.
I have Kingdom of Heaven on Blu-ray to watch too (got it today).

I rented Untold Legends, i played it for about two hours and and got a headache, and never played it again. Its not that great. Although, i did enjoy it for a little bit.

Did he match up the codes or just popped in any version of the game. on the listed game site it said the codes must match. A few games have different codes. But GT4 wasn't list anyway. works on my Ps3:tup:

Interesting you think it's scary. Besides coming from a non friendly PS3 site, how many Xbox games were compatible on the XB360 when it was first released? How many Xbox games still do not work "properly" on the XB360?

After all, you were quick to point out about the XB360 that its software emulation, like the Euro PS3, can be continually updated to fix and add additional BC capabilities.

In addition, you don't even own a Euro PS3... so other than your continual attempts to paint PS3 in a bad way, what's so scary?

...Not to mention I defended Sony's decision to ditch the Emotion Engine while everyone else was pissing and moaning. You wouldn't see an alleged "PS3 Hater" do that, now would you. Nor would you see someone like that already owning a 20GB PS3 and looking to upgrade to a 60GB.

As for the Xbox, I'm not even talking about that at all, and I don't know why you always have to deflect something back on the competiton whenever the PS3 even gets the possiblity of bad news.

And of course I don't own a Euro PS3, that's why I'm asking for confirmation.

Have you ever said anything good about the PS3, of course you have. Have you ever said anything bad about the XB360, of course you have. However, the sum of all parts shows your obvious bias... and frankly, that doesn't bother me one bit. Lot's of people have bias towards one thing or another, the difference though is how you allow that bias to effect what you say.

Anyone who has bothered to read your posts in the PS3 threads, especially compared to your posts in the XB360 can see you go out of your way to try and find fault with the PS3 and have often exaggerated facts, and made misleading comments to achieve that goal. That's the kind of BS from you that I, and others respond to in a negative way.

BTW: Just so you know, despite how I may react to some of your posts, overall, I consider you a valuable member of this forum. You are perhaps one of the most resourceful members when it comes to searching for information, and have many times shared valuable information to the benefit of your fellow members. 👍

You should KNOW that it's FAR better STILL than what the 360 offers, yet you say it's SCARY. That's the word you use, in a negative manner. THAT is why he called you out, end of story.

If I recall correctly, Sony was the one that promised BC. Microsoft said they weren't worried about it. People who bought the 360 knew from the start that BC was going to be a taboo topic. Whether Sony announced it before or not, the announcement of potential compatability problems due to software emulation threw everyone for a loop.
And you know why the games on the list themselves are scary? How many of those games that are said that don't work are multiple million sellers? Oh, that's right. Nearly all of them.

I'm sure the irony will hit you soon enough, but, just a thought: Maybe he was asking for confirmation because he didn't believe it either? Even if that wasn't the case this time, I find it odd when you jump all over him everytime he says something that isn't pure ass-kissery (see post #6102), yet completely and totally flip when people do the same to you.

Lot's of people have bias towards one thing or another, the difference though is how you allow that bias to effect what you say.

And even if I believed that to be true (which my official opinion is that I don't pay attention enough to have an official opinion), can you honestly say that he is even remotely near the only person in this thread who does so?

ps3 came in stores yesterday and i could play a little bit. they had some kinda boxing game on, and the graphic was amazing. When i hit the guys face, the sweat flew around and so. real good!

its pretty cheap over here, so i'm getting a ps3 one of these days. now i'm just asking, can i go online with ps3 with wireless lan??

and about gt4, does it work or not? cause above mentioned it DOESNT which is kinda frustrating :S

Apparently not, even Sony has listed it. I can't test it yet as I don't have one.

It's only for EU PS3 software emulation.
The PS3 BC site where Sony have listed PS2 and PSOne games does'nt have GT4 listed or MGS2 - faq.eu.playstation.com
GT4 Prologue is there mind you.
I don't have a UK GT4 game to try on my PAL PS3. Maybe TVR&Ferrari_Fan has one and can try it out. By all accounts it should'nt work if the site is accurate.

I can say that my PS3 doesn't play GT4. And bizarrely, yes, Prologue does work... just a little unstable. GT3 isn't too bad though.

My PS3 games still haven't come yet! I guess that gives me time to fiddle around with some of its features.
