Please actually read the reviews before making judgments. The PS3 version got a 9.5 (8.9 is the user rating). The X360 version got a 9.0 (9.1 user rating).
The 1.6 update will enhance the PS3's downloading system. A download-manager tab will be added to the XrossMediaBar (XMB) where users can queue up to six downloads from the PlayStation Store. The update will also add limited background downloading functionality, allowing PS3 owners to watch videos, view photos, listen to music, and surf the Web while downloading PlayStation Store content. Sony did not say whether or not PS3 owners could play games while downloading content, as Xbox 360 owners can.
The 1.6 update will also offer an alternative to the cell-phone-like predictive text system PS3 users must currently use if they do not have a USB keyboard. The update will add a virtual QWERTY keyboard to the console, which will let players enter text with the Sixaxis controller. It will also add support for keyboards and mice that use Bluetooth wireless technology.
Other features included in the upgrade include Remote Play PSP support for 20GB PS3s, disc autostart, and Blu-ray Disc Rewriteable (BD-RE) playback.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are nearly identical, but the Xbox 360 version is easily the better of the two, since the PS3 version doesn't have online play.
a) Here is who you need to complain to about the VT port.Oh and just found the Virtua Tennis, a promising PS3 title in 1080p has ended up like any other port, done on 360 and then put over the PS3... badly!
From the Gamespot review, 8.4 for the 360 and 8.2 for the PS3.....
And this says it all!........ WHY the hell not! wheres the all that Blu Ray Space put to good use! Wheres the added features that a more powerful system should bring!!!!! Yes, its only the online thats different but why is there no online!, why are the graphics the same!!!!! Yet another 360 port arg......

Actually, visually it's better on PS3, at least from my play experience, simply because the 360 version is not rendered at 1080p, at least it didn't look like it from my comparisons.

"Blu-ray power"? Yeah, right. It's a tennis game. Same graphics? It's a hell of a lot better than more jaggies on the PS3 version (like most other 360 ports). If you want less than a majority of games being 360 ports, then wait a year or something.
Like D-N said, have patience... or buy a 360 and save some money or something.
Wrong.

Good news! Now if only the 10 million XB360's currently out there had a digital output so those who own the many 1080p HDTVs that do not accept an analog 1080p signal can enjoy it. Of course, they could spend another ~$500 and buy the upcoming HDMI version of the XB360... or save some money and stick with the PS3.
So I guess all the fuss about this being yet another XB360 port was unnecessary.AND for the record, this game was DEVELOPED on PS3 first, and ported to 360. Notice the PS3 version has sharper and more consistent shadows for ALL objects and people, and does NOT suffer from extremely low contrast values (i.e. extreme darks and extreme lights).
I did that just for you.
Well, you could always sell your current X360 to recoup much of the Zephyr's costs... plus, you get a 120GB HDD (even though it's practically rendered useless by streaming content from a computer)... and you get a matte black color, which is surprisingly attractive. But yes, you're still spending extra money if you want "proper" 1080p.Good news! So as not to clutter up the PS3 boards with discussions about the yet to be confirmed new XB360, I've responded to you in the appropriate thread:Duċk;2609538Well, you could always sell your current X360 to recoup much of the Zephyr's costs... plus, you get a 120GB HDD (even though it's practically rendered useless by streaming content from a computer)... and you get a matte black color, which is surprisingly attractive. Also, do the majority of 1080p TVs accept 1080p via VGA? I know they have problems with component, but I'm unsure about VGA...
I have never really had any interest in RPG games, but I must admit, the reviews and screen shots certainly make it sound quite interesting. I may have to give this title a try.So, lets discuss the latest addition to my collection of games. I picked up Oblivion and the walkthrough today. So far, the graphics, lighting, etc. look good. Although, i dont have a high definition display. But so far, so good. The only thing that i did notice was that it seemed a little choppy at the very beginning but it seems better once you get a little bit into it. Anyway, I'm very excited about this game, I have wanted it since it came out for the 360.
Looking forward to hearing your first impressions!Tomorrow us Brits can finally get are PS3's, anyway is anyone going to be doing some tiding up on Thursday to make the room, where your PlayStation 3 is going in.
Wish I could help, but I don’t own a PSP. You want to see if Sony’s online manual covers that. So far I have found it to be a very intuitive manual that does a good job of explaining most of the features of the PS3.Does anybody know how a 20GB PS3 can use Remote Play with a PSP? It would have to have WiFi, wouldn't it...?
Although adding WiFi to a 20GB PS3 may work. This feature is available only on PS3™ systems that are equipped with the wireless LAN feature.
You won't hear from me much on the 23rd, because I am doing a video review for AVForums. Anyway I better get off to bed, but Thursday will go quick. So as not to clutter up the PS3 boards with discussions about the yet to be confirmed new XB360, I've responded to you in the appropriate thread:

Right now, what time I have to play games I allocate mostly to F1CE... I just can't get enough of that game. Each time I play it I discover more subtle features. Besides having real crash damage, mechanical failures, and intelligent non-scripted AI (unlike Gran Turismo), I've also discovered that they programmed in real oil spill effects on tires, such that if you drive over it, your tires immediately lose grip, and give you a real challenge in trying to keep your car from spinning off the track... for which I have failed miserably at.. twice.
For adventure gaming, I think MGS4 is the title that has me the most interested.
Looking forward to hearing your first impressions!

(It's currently for System 1.5-1.54, but they will update it once system update 1.6 is released.)
EDIT: Here is the direct link to the part of the manual on "Using Remote Play", hopefully that might help.
Maybe they mean it will work if you add a WiFi adapter to a 20GB PS3?D-N, the press release about update 1.6 said that 20GB PS3s will be able to use Remote Play with a PSP. I don't know how this is possible unless each PS3 does in fact have a WiFi card inside but is only unlocked for the 60GB. I was asking how to do it, but how can it be done?
So, Jeremy, what was the point of that post? Because Duck was clearly not saying the PS3 version looked worse, nor was he saying that it suffered from jaggies. Nor did he say it suffered from the problems most of the PS3 ports have (in fact, the said it didn't).
If anything, Duck was supporting the PS3 version. So, you bite his head off. Did he not support it enough for your liking?

No, you AGAIN misunderstand my post. From me:He is saying that the 360 version "looks superior" because it has "less jaggies" which is complete and utter bullshot. It's by far one of the silliest things he's ever said, only because I know for a fact he doesn't have the TV, games, and system requirements necessary to really tell me anything other than his foolish assumptions, which is why he COMPLETELY ignored my post
I'm not saying that the PS3 version has more jaggies than the 360 version – I'm saying the opposite. I'm saying the PS3 version doesn't have more jaggies, unlike most 360 ports. Read my post again slowly, and understand it fully. That, or go to sleep so you can read it with a clear mind tomorrow morning."Blu-ray power"? Yeah, right. It's a tennis game. Same graphics? As Duck said, had you read that bit in the parenthesis (like I did) you would understand how Duck as not knocking the PS3 version, and that the conclusions you jumped to were false, and that he as infact complimenting the PS3 version. He is saying that the 360 version "looks superior" because it has "less jaggies" which is complete and utter bullshot. The second shot makes me think of the Jurassic Park arcade game. Or Dino Crisis 2.
