JohnBM01Three things I wanted to share...
Last night, I noticed in the PlayStation Store there is something you can install to play PS2 games that allow HDD support. I think I have one or two PS2 games that have install options. Not sure if I want to give this PS2 thing a whirl or not.
I've been watching certain YouTube videos on various PS3 games. You know, I'm becoming a bit more convinced on the following games:
* MAG
* Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (except I heard the single-player deal can be completed in a few hours)
* Saints Row 2
Part of me just wants to get some more of the big-name titles just to be among the rest of the PS3 crowd. I don't want to be just about racing games. Speaking of which... I am starting to lean more towards getting "NFS: Shift." I do eventually want to get to "NFS: Shift Unleashed 2" (or whatever it's called). And just to say again, if I do get NFS Shift (which is a Greatest Hits title), it will be the first NFS console game I will have ever owned.
Let me get back to Saints Row 2 for a moment. The way I've heard of this game described and in seeing a video on it, I really feel like this game is even more silly than the GTA series, especially GTA3-GTA:VCS. So I am becoming a lot more convinced that the Saints Row series is fairly legit. So much so, that I just can't seem to connect with GTA4. It's like GTA4 became TOO much more realistic and not really as fun as the previous generation of GTA games. I would feel a bit like I am missing out on the real story of the game if I don't play the first Saints Row. With Saints Row 3 to be released in the near future, SR2 should hold me down pretty well. Only negatives I've heard about SR2 are cumbersome controls and not as good driving mechanics. So I may decide to get this game and add it to my collection.
One last thing... I am considering buying some of those PSN cards and redeem them to get stuff off of the PlayStation Store. There are some downloadable games and stuff I wouldn't mind buying online. For instance, I may join the TDU2 crowd that has the Casino feature. I feel this is probably the best way to make money without racing.
So my options are really open now.
I don't think those PS2 data things work, I think they were meant for the old fat PS3s that were backwards compatible, but by all means, give it a shot!
