PS3 General Discussion

Well, I finally bought it- LittleBIGPlanet 2. I am currently installing certain updates for LBP2 as I'm trying to play this game finally. I just hope I won't have to wait for a long while to finally play it, like when I waited for about six hours with all the updates to ModNation Racers when I first played that. Anyone who follows me on PSN may see I make a "debut" when I play a certain game for the first time. I get very pleased owning and playing a Triple-A title like the LBP series. Most pleasing of all was that I found this as a low-priced deal rather than one time where I saw LBP2 sold for $59.96 at another Walmart. I'm sure I'll have fun playing around with LBP2. A game where there are no limits to what you can do is almost always an enjoyable game. I'm sure this one will keep be busy for a while.

As for Journey, I saw it and played it at a kiosk at Wal-Mart (Walmart these days). I wasn't able to get the character moving. So I may have to try to download the demo at home and play that. Since this was at a kiosk, I wasn't really able to tilt the SIXAXIS thing much. I'll reserve my opinions on Journey until I'm actually able to play at least the demo. So I can't really say if a game is good or bad if I haven't been able to play it enough to really comment on it.

Okay. I figured I would love "LittleBigPlanet 2," and I do! Most of my playing is being done with the main story. People do try to invite me, but I'm just trying to clear the storyline. I haven't yet played around with making levels or anything. I've come along with a fairly decent sack character. Because I've never played LBP1, I am fairly new to this game and what it has to offer. I am actually more accustomed to ModNation Racers as far as making and customizing material.

I will continue on in my adventures in LBP2. The main story here- this game is very fun.

I remember getting it for free from PSN +. (I actually never bought either LBP game and I had access to LBK Beta).

There's an update for PlayStation Store. I downloaded it since I was trying to get myself the 2014 Corvette for Gran Turismo 5. Just wanted to give that heads-up. I still play games on a Standard Definition TV. Sometimes, I do think this newer and prettier PS Store interface is a bit more easier to read. Some games and some apps just have very small lettering that I can barely make out. So any sort of game or app that has easy-reading letters is fine with me.

Yes, the update for the store made it more efficient and faster to use. Which is a massive improvement over the way it was when the current store launched.

ANYTHING would be an improvement over the previous version. It would take effort (and really HARD effort) to make it even worse.

Anyone got PSN back that didn't have it before?

This is pissing me off. Literally every time school gets out after a particularly stressful period either Sony or EA shuts everything down and its getting old. I waited patiently 30 minutes past the end time and am becoming agitated.

I mean do these video game guys not understand business? The first thing you learn is "underpromise and overdeliver," which is the anti.

And then they post to say its tomorrow morning. Perfect.

Maintenance was scheduled from 11AM EST to 11PM EST.

Judging by the time of your post, you were jumping the gun on the PSN not being back from maintenance complaint.

It was from 16:00 to 04:00 here which wiped out the evening. Does anyone know what it was all about other than software updating? Twelve hours server maintenance is rare enough that it has to be something important.

If you were talking to me.... They changed the time after I posted that
